This was the first time where the description did not meet reality for me. I don’t know where I messed up when booking. The sink was broken, the toilet was broken, the shower was missing two out of three cleaning components. There was a crew working on rooms well into the night. I thought this was a 3 star hotel. It was a 1.5 star motel.

Stayed 3 nights

Our room wasn’t ready at check-in, even though we got there at 4:30. Our room lacked a lamp and trim around the floor. It didn’t have any hooks for towels and only had the bare minimum of towels and toiletries. The bed was clean and the housekeeper was very friendly. She went and got us a lamp. The fan didn’t work in the bathroom and when I asked the front desk they said they would send maintenance but they never came. We were told breakfast was at 6 am and we went down at 640. We went down to a dark empty room. The breakfast attendant didn’t acknowledge us. We finally asked her and she rudely said,it doesn’t start till 7! She was over the top rude!!! Next time we will stay down the street.

An old hotel with a lot of charm. Big rooms and corridors. Early 1900's Italian decor in the open areas. I stayed from Monday to Thursday, quiet. Many local restaurants with different Cuisines including the Salvatore's Italian Gardens,

property is well below the grand hotel it was in the past. Still lavishly decorated, but larger room was half empty and bed extremely soft. The helpful staff was very quick to accommodate us and move to room with a newer bed. Breakfast was much smaller, but fresh and server very attentive. Shuttle to Salvatores still available - thanks! Overall good value for new price, but sad to see the decline.
