The hotel was very well kept and the free breakfast was very good. The only issue we had was that the indoor pool was not very warm , in fact it was quite cold. Parking was valet and very easy but pricey at $50 per night.

It was a very busy weekend at this hotel. My room wasn't ready at 4 PM for check-in. At first, the front desk told me I needed to wait, but I was lucky to speak with a different staff member who upgraded me because there were no rooms ready in the type I had booked. This is how hotels should do it - if the issue is based on a hotel error, make it right! My only other issue was that the pool was unusable; it was so cold that the children refused to swim in it, and it was out of commission for quite a while because the hotel had drained the pool and discovered an issue. We booked this hotel for the pool, and not being able to use it was a big disappointment. Otherwise, it is a fine property with a good breakfast in a nice location.

This is a lovely hotel in a perfect neighborhood to walk around and find bites to eat and shop. It’s nice to have breakfast available in the morning too but if you want an amazing breakfast, walk up to Tatte. The hotel has valet service and nice front staff. The only thing negative I could say is the gym is tiny. A handful of cardio machines and some dumbbells. Two people trying to weight train or stretch is nearly impossible. Other than that, it’s a great hotel!

Great location and rooms with views. Busy but quiet. Walkable into city. Lovely views. Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance when we stayed (and this was one of the reasons we chose this hotel). But overall nice vibe, friendly staff. We would stay there again (and hopefully the pool would be open...)

Very spacious, great view. Good value for the price. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Continental breakfast was great. And I knew ahead of time, so it was fine, but be prepared it will cost for parking. Whether you valet , in their lot, if they have space. That’s $55. Otherwise you have to find your own spot or lot. We paid $84 for 24 hours

What an absolute disaster! Avoid this place. This entire huge hotel has just two elevators - two! And one is broken! And no one is even trying to fix it. There's also no staircase inside the building, only a fire exit that takes you outside the building. There are tons of kids, strollers, housekeeping carts, etc all trying to get to and from their rooms, and everyone is stuck and frustrated and the staff does nothing to help. I thought a couple of dads were going to come to blows at one point over whose family got on the elevator. And good luck trying to eat your free breakfast. The food is fine, but the dining area is grossly inadequate for the number of guests. You won't find a seat. Families end up standing next to planters trying to balance their kids plates. Again, staff does nothing to fix this. This hotel was never designed to handle the number of guests staying there - and this was midweek, I can't imagine what happens on the weekends here. Stay elsewhere!

The property was clean, the staff was very, very nice and helpful. However, 1 of 2 elevators was out the entire stay and weeks before we got there. So, an 8 floor large hotel had 1 elevator for its staff and customers. It was usually baked up and very full lines for the elevator.

Hotel under renovation, not disclosed by Expedia. No poll availability ( under renovation). Ni on-site parking ( public parking lot nearby $100 per day/ ugh. Rooms outdated/ not worth the price.

Generally I liked our stay. I thought the staff was generally pleasant. However there were too many issues I can’t overlook. In no particular order: -Floors were not very clean when we got in the room- dust and debris -light switch in bathroom cut my finger twice…somehow it was sharp -I brought our own cleaning supplies which for some reason were thrown out when I requested the trash be taken out -All vents in room were horrendously dusty -Cleaning people were very loud talking in the hall every morning; not looking to be woken up on vacation

Our room was overrun with ants in the bathroom. The hotel maintenance man came and sprayed and killed them all but the next three hours we had to open the windows to air the room out. The bug spray was very strong and gave me a hesdache

The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel was super clean, and the breakfast area was very nice. There is key card access to the guest floors for security. The hotel is walking distal to the USS Constitution as well as the USS Cassian, a stop of the Hop on Hop off tour, and visitors can begin the Freedom Trail if not wanting to use the guided version. The harbor view is beautiful, and there is a gorgeous view of the city skyline. I would definitely stay here again!

There was McDonald’s trash and food under the sofa couch, we did not have any McDonald’s or food here. So the room must not have been cleaned well. The dishes had purple juice like substance on the plates. Our bed sheet had a reddish brown small circle stain on it. The bathtub floor had a red smudge on it, not sure if it was blood or not. The toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall. Our reservation said it came with parking, the hotel said their valet was full and not promised so we had to pay for extra parking even though it said it came with. The elevator was broken, so we had to walk through the employee office to reach the stairs, incredibly hard to bring our stuff to the room.

Booked the suite that over looked that was beautiful but the cleaning wasn’t what you would expect for the 550.00 a night fee. The corners were dirty a bit however not anything more than you get at other hotels but for the money I’m saying it should be impeccable . Excellent breakfast decent staff would go back at a cheaper room

The room was disappointing as soon as we entered. It wasn't terrible, per se, but it was just average for a hotel, certainly not worthy of the high nightly price. It looked like it had been lived in, not new and pristine as other hotels in this price range typically are. But things got worse upon going to bed. There was only one nightstand and lamp. The person on one side of the bed did not have a reading light, nor a place to lay anything, such as a phone or a book and there was no place to charge the phone on that side of the bed. The mattress, however, was terrible. It felt like a low to mid-range mattress that was 10-15 years old. Both of us rolled toward the center of the mattress because it had a deep ravine and it was so lumpy and uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep and had to move to the couch after about 90 minutes. I slept the rest of the night on the couch. Our second night there I thought I would give the bed a second chance but had the same experience. I woke up after about an hour and could not get back to sleep so again moved to the couch. It was not the relaxing night I usually expect from a Marriott property. Additionally disappointing was a rainstorm on Saturday afternoon apparently disrupted a satellite dish which prevented us from watching ESPN. We were there on the championship weekend for the U.S. Open but could not watch the women's final on Saturday nor the men's final on Sunday. One day of disruption was disappointing but two days seemed careless.

Dishwasher beeped constantly, broken items in bathroom/vanity area. Good experiences with staff. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. We were able to walk to restaurants and points of interest. The staff were friendly and the desk clerk helped us make decisions on restaurants and how to get around in the city. Breakfast quality was very good and the lobby was a great place to connect with friends. The down side was the quality of the room. The couch was torn, the mattress had an indentation in the middle of it, and the room in general was very outdated. We had friends that stayed down the hall from us and they had an updated room. Beautiful. I was very disappointed in the room we were given especially for the price we paid.

Hotel was well situated, within half hour walk of all main attractions. Good breakfast, regularly replenished. Swimmingpool was an added bonus. Rooms are spacious and clean. Free coffee in reception all day which was a nice touch. Great bar/ restaurant just around the corner. Downside was that our room overlooked the bins and workmen. Bins got emptied at 4.30 am every day so woke us up. Avoid room 316! If the room had been on the other side of hotel would have given it top marks.

If you’d like to stay on the harbor without spending a fortune, this Residence Inn is perfect! Literally you walk outside and see boats, great for walking and taking pictures. The staff were all kind and helpful, breakfast terrific and rooms large/well equipped. Walk to TD garden easily. If you are into walking, it’s about a 20 minute walk to little Italy/old town and about 25 minutes to Quincy Market. Parking is difficult in Boston, hotel was $55 a night! Uber is easy and reasonable if you aren’t into walking. Recommend this hotel for sure!

We had an excellent 3 night stay. The breakfast and breakfast staff are outstanding! Shout out to them. We really enjoyed sitting in the deck overlooking the harbor while having our breakfast each morning. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the additional space we had (kitchen, separate bedroom in the suite we had) to travel with our two teens. The location is about a 15 minute walk from attractions such as the North End or Charlestown Naval Yard but is right along the Freedom Trail, so it was safe to walk even at night as there are lots of people. Even though it was not exactly right in the center of the action where all the shops, restaurants and attractions are it was worth it to us to have a little extra space and amenities. The only con as the parking- valet only and expensive- but expected in a big city.

Did not like the front desk staff. I dealt with 3 or 4 front desk members and they all had attitude towards me. I had simple questions like specific charges to my room, my key card getting de-magnetized. Even the valet guy did not greet nor acknowledge me. The cleaning ladies were fantastic and the buffet guys too.

Great customer service. Front desk staff were professional and friendly. (Marvin especially was polite and polished). However, we were evacuated from the hotel after a false alarm, and we were not advised what to do or where to go other than if "the alarm sounded after the announcement, we should leave our floor" but were then told by a housekeeping employee we all had to evacuate regardless. Everyone was running for the stairs and were not sure where to exit. There were two individiuals who had mibility issues and nobody to assist them other than other guests. We were not told where to go or what to do or when we could return. It was a mismatch of information. We ended up leaving to go find coffee and when we returned it was safe to return to our rooms. I feel that there should have been a guest leader rounding up guests and helping them to understand what was happening. And at no time did anyone explain to us what happened. It was a false alarm causing the sprinklers to go off. But imagine if it had not been a false alarm. Other than this one situation our stay was lovely and we appreciated the size of our room and the location on the top floor. We appreciated the clean space and amenities.

The front office staff were absolutely wonderful and very helpful to me as I had been a victim of identity theft and had only the use of one card which kept getting declined but the staff worked with me and we made some phone calls to get it sorted out and I was finally able to check in. Those ladies that helped me are my angels. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone I know. Thank you

The view is memorable. The room set up is convenient for families. What was lacking was the night staff. I asked two gentleman questions and their answered were “I don’t know”. Took me about 30 minutes to find ice. My husband had to go wake up the staff member whom was asleep on the couch himself because when I tried to ask him for ice he wouldn’t wake up. It’s on the 3rd floor f.y.i. Along with the fact that it’s cold and I had to walk a small distance to the hotel because of their lack of parking. I parked in the adjacent closer Marina parking to the right (told I couldn’t stay or I would be towed) and I was able to load my stuff into the hotel. I had to go park at a side lot to the left (the another immediate left- I had to figure that out by myself after a long u turn near a property/school). I had to pick up my husband at the airport (rental issues) and you can’t leave without paying. So, I had to REPAY to park my car in the parking when we returned minutes later. Just inconvenient. The breakfast was good, small food area and a lot of people. Nice harbor walk across the street, great views.

Excellent stay... Everything was within walking distance to us as we walked the city of Boston... The Freedom Trail was the highlight of our trip as it basically started as we stepped out of our hotel lobby with the USS Constitution right down the road.. The Free Breakfast was amazing, and the staff very welcoming and friendly... We will definitely be visiting Boston again as there is so much to do, and this hotel will be our home away from home when we come back to visit that beautiful city...

I have been looking forward to writing this since i checked out. The hotel was great, but my favorite part was listening to Luis chat with guests in the morning at breakfast, he was helping with setup, comfort, cooking, you name it. He was so helpful to folks, offering to make them a togo breakfast if they didnt have time to sit. He offered us fresh baked cookies to take with us. These were all fine and dandy but the icing on the cake watching this man be awesome was when a young couple with 2 young children came, he just went in the back and grabbed a high chair and had it for them when they got to their table (unprompted). That is service, that is excellence and that is someone who cares about people and is extremely good at it. I have had young children and it can be overwhelming and this little act of kindness really makes a difference, Luis...you make a difference!!!!

Indoor pool small, smell too much like chlorine better to used at day, at night very full of guests. (winter time). No blanket available for sofabed, had to sleep with just one sheet (I asked and was told there were none available.)Extra pillow never came. TV not working but TV guy came at night when we were sleeping so we preferred no TV at all. Been staying with hotels.com booking and my perception is the hotels doesn't care for the people that uses hotels.com Had better treatment booking directly with the hotels. Housekeeping was awesome but other personnel were just alright.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights to explore the city for Spring break and go to a NHL game. This hotel is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from the TD garden, a 2 minute walk to a bus stop and close to stores and restaurants. We really enjoyed the free daily breakfast, they had lots to choose from. We had eggs, sausages, toast, waffle with blueberry sauce and whipped cream for breakfast. There was also healthier options. We loved the pool and our room was very spacious for 3 of us.

We loved that the hotel was walking distance from TD Gardens! The anemities in the room were wonderful- fridge , stove, microwave etc!! Wonderful that there are 2 TV's. We enjoyed the pool- small but we were the only ones there with lots of towels. Breakfast was wonderful- lots of variety and the guy there was cery kind and attentive! Our only negatives would be that the front desk staff could be friendlier-at least greet you or smile when you come in the door- most didn't even raise their head!! And Secondly our bathroom door didnt close. But all in all very Happy with our stay!

Valet was attentive. Front desk staff were friendly. The room was fairly clean and there wasn’t an odor. The room was quiet and I couldn’t hear any other guests. I really enjoyed that checkout was at noon. I definitely feel like I over paid for the quality of the room and I didn’t like how breakfast only went until 930am.

Pool is nice but small. We swam and two other families came in, then it became a pool party. Location is the key here. Copley square within walking distance and the aquarium (we walked there). Next time I will rent the Ebikes, they're right across the street from the hotel. Cute and quaint surroundings! Location is great!

The check-in process was challenging. We were told it might be better to park in a garage down the road by hotel staff. We were told we could not check-in until possibly 4:00.
