Holiday Inn Brookfield - Milwaukee by IHG

Needs upgrades

We did not have hot water (just above room temp was about as much as we could get for either shower) or even in our sink to wash our hands; I booked this hotel specifically for the hot tub and when we got on site it was caution taped off and not able to use. The room was cold even when we turned the heat up to 71/72 degrees. The TV remote did not work unless you were standing directly in front of the TV, you could not use it from the bed at all. We had breakfast at the iHOP and the staff there were very slow and very little acknowledgement to customers when they walk in the door even with staff standing/walking right by them (very cold, in my opinion), food was sub-par (meat came out cold, hashbrowns were not very good and the eggs were almost water-like runny). Unfortunately, we did not have time to wait to send back our food and ate it anyways. The only staff we interacted with was check in staff and she was very nice and quick with check in. I have zero complaints about the staff. The only issue I would have about direction from staff would be when she directed us to our room, she gave directions as if we knew the property (never stayed before) and when I asked about parking, she said to park anywhere. Again, I was asking about closest door to our entrance, elevator(s) or room.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and comfy. I like the microwave and fridge being in the room! There is an AppleHop (ihop and Applebees combo) onsite if that’s your jam. I actually added a night to my stay because it was affordable and close to my events.

Very small room for the price and view was terrible as well.

First night, my room was on the second floor near the pool, the ac was not blowing cold air which made the room feel humid, the tv did not connect to Netflix app even tho the hotel has internet service. I was told that, it’s just a feature that doesn’t work. When waking up to use the shower, the shower would not turn off, I had to push it in and keep twisting it until it turn off. Went to the front desk and they did accommodate me by switching my room and moving to the 5th floor. Also the ihop/applebees that’s connected to the hotel had horrible customer service and quality of food was bad too.
