Great location, very clean hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Can’t find any faults with hotel. However, parking is an absolute nightmare. Never been in a smaller car park in my life. I drive a Nissan Qashqai, not the biggest car, but found it incredibly tight to get in and out.

Long wait for lifts in morning due to 2 of the 3 being out of order. Whilst the hotel says they are upgrading the lifts and work expected to be complete soon it still meant a 5 minute wait or lugging a suitcase down 5 flights of stairs.

Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Hotel was fabulous except we were disappointed that the sky bar wasn’t open. This was a deciding factor in choosing the hotel. Perhaps this shouldn’t feature so prominently on your website photographs.

We had an excellent stay here. Room really comfy and clean. So quiet too. Loved the mini bar with complementary snacks & drinks. Breakfast was fantastic and staff very friendly & helpful. Only a short walk to Piccadilly train station too which was very convenient.

Was quite a disappointing stay. Considering the price, room was dusty and just standard compared to other hotels. Security guard there was rude and basic amenities such as a kettle in the room was missing. Staff were super friendly though.

My sister and I were visiting Manchester for Christmas shopping and the hotel was chosen for its proximity to the train station. It is literally across the road. Staff were friendly, helpful and the rooms were well equipped however the cleanliness of the room was outstanding! Completely immaculate. Would definitely recommend

Great location, staff very friendly. The room it self needs sprucing up as there were stains on the carpet and it looked drab. Also there was no hot water, so was unable to have a shower. There was scaffolding up with workmen banging at 9:00 am. The room was not worth £200. Spoke to staff on the front desk and they knocked breakfast off and stated that if I stay there again they would be able to give me a room with 50% off. I still wouldn’t pay £100 for the room.

The room was great and very spacious and comfortable, and clean. My only gripe was that there was no amplification mirror in the bathroom. I had left mine at home feeling certain there would be one. Staff were all very pleasant and friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.

We were three friends and we booked the King Suite. Good sized room with a big bathroom that had a bath and separate shower. Beds were really comfy. On check-in we were given a warm cookie each which was a lovely touch although no gluten free option and all three cookies contained nuts…..so I ended up with all three! We were told our room included a complimentary mini bar, which we were excited about, but on entering the room it was only snacks and soft drinks which was a bit disappointing, no alcohol! View from the room was nice overlooking the canal and opposite hotel. Hotel carpark was full but we got a twenty percent off code for a public underground carpark round the back which was good. We had a 12 noon check and our door was knocked on twice to see if we had left which was annoying. The location is great. 5min walk if that to Piccadilly station for trains and trams. All in all a great stay and would definitely return.

Everything was good apart from one lift not working so we had to wait a long time to get the lift or tske the stairs. Also the beds and pillows were very soft and not comfortable. All 3 of us had difficulty getting comfortable and so had terrible nights sleep

Very dated hotel - the appearances from the outside are misleading, and this hotel needs a big spruce and modernisation. The room we stayed in was small and basic - for the price, I would have expected much more from this hotel...if I hadn't known otherwise, I would've said this hotel was a budget chain. The public bar area and reception foyer are nice.

Wasn’t a great stay overall due to lack of sleep due to the noise from outside. I was allocated room 416 towards the end. This room looks right onto the tram track and honestly from 5 am when the trams started the noise was unreal it was so loud when passing and very frequent which resulted in little sleep perhaps ask for a room higher up and on other side. The rooms are nicely done clean and comfortable Only one lift working so experienced long wait times which wasn’t ideal. Main restaurant was closed so oily burger type things available from bar, wasnt the best stay so would be reluctant to return as stayed in many others nearby that resulted in better nights sleep.

This hotel made you feel welcome from the start with hot cookies after check in to enjoy in your room. The room itself was exceptional. Very modern, well maintained, clean and had absolutely everything you needed for your stay. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom, hairdryer, ironing board and iron, fridge, TV and safe. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Although we where literally a stones throw from Piccadilly Station there was no noise at all. The only thing that let it down was the wifi you needed to be an Hilton member to get it for free which was a little strange especially considering the price of the rooms. Also only 1 of the 3 lifts was working so we waited over 15 minutes to get in an empty lift. This is a suberb hotel but if we were going to a gig at the arena again we would probably get an hotel closer to.

We enjoyed our stay at this DoubleTree for our first time in Manchester! Perfect spot as it was close to the AO arena where we planned to go. Front desk gentlemen were very attentive and helpful when we checked in at night and when we asked for supplies. One elevator available at this time but we didn't mind as room was not too high for stairs when needed Exceptional guest service during our three night stay (a priority I consider when choosing hotels). If you want to be close to Piccadilly station, the coach station, and the shops/food variety in Piccadilly, this is a great choice! Great stay!

Overall the experience was good however a coiple if issues. Firstly, the receptionist who served us put us in a room in which someone was already staying, meaning i walked into a room when two females were chaging, which was beyong embarassung for both parties. When we went to the reception the chap was a bit arrogant and I was disappointed by his attitide. Secondly only one lift was working meaning the wait to get a lift was extremely long. Aside from this all else was fine.

Check in and check out was painful, I was charged separately for the room, deposit, city tax, parking etc, they processed about six separate payments when they could have taken one, the whole process took way longer than it needed to. I asked for toothpaste in the middle of the night and they said they were busy and needed me to go down to reception for it, when only moments ago they had no problem taking an order to my room…

Tried this hotel out for the 1st time and was happy i did the rooms was so clean and comfy with the mini fridge a bonus complintary water is a nice touch too and the double tree cookie is amazing, the staff here are so friendly and helpful and sam at reception and paulo in the breakfast hall getting name dropped for being amazing , great location great staff great stay definitely recommend

Had a great stay at this hotel. Two nights and no problems whatsoever. Location is perfect and although the area seems busy it was so quiet in my room. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. I returned late and the security man on the door made sure I was okay (my daughter dropped me off and he was just sure all was okay). I will definitely be checking in to this hotel when I return in a couple of months. I can’t comment on the restaurant as I didn’t use it but by the high standards of the hotel I would have thought it was good. Lovely bar on the reception level. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Rooms amazing, clean and modern. Very confy bed. Check in easy. Only issue we had was at the ajoining restaurant, we were left waiting for an hour in a very quiet time (we think there were 3 other couples). Staff not giving any attention, couldn't even get a drink. Cancelled order and went elsewhere. Overall though a great hotel, shame our first night was ruined.

Room was adequate for my needs for the weekend Shower door had no handle inside and toilet was extremely hard to flush Although not vegetarian or vegan, the breakfast was lacking on the vegetarian/ vegan options - for instance no veggie sausages and no alternative for tne continental breakfast

We chose this hotel to stay over after seeing Westlife at the Co-op Live indoor arena on a Sunday night. Considering a stormy weekend we had a great time. Because of the storms we chose to drive and pre booked Q parks Piccadilly place which is literally 2 minutes to the hotel,( discount code used).Hotel reception staff were very nice and the room was ready even though we were slightly early. We booked a corner room with king bed which was actually a super king,the room has a glass viewing point with table and chair to see out over the city which I enjoyed whilst eating my Hilton cookie with a brew,( nice to see enough milks to make a night time and morning brew without running out)The mini bar containing crisps,chocolate water and fizzy drinks was complementary.The room heating and cooling worked very well from simple controls from a unit above the entrance. Before setting off for the concert we ate in the bar area,staff were very nice and the food was good,Again we chose this hotel because it’s literally 2 -4 minutes into the Piccadilly station to catch the tram to the concert.After a great night we went back to the hotel for drinks and a comfy nights sleep. We had booked breakfast next morning which we throughly enjoyed before leaving. Very nice stay and never got wet because of the location
