Was only 10am and checkout lady hassled us about checking out. Told her checkout wasn’t until another 2 hours and she stated “what time is it” very unprofessional. Hot tub not working. Pool extremely hot. Room was not clean. Stains on the comforter! I’ll stay elsewhere next time because this place has went downhill!

Broken tv remote, lamps missing bulbs by bed, the window in room did not lock and i was on the first floor so, anyone could get access, pool nor hot tub was available the 3 days i stayed. It's in the middle of nowhere with nothing close in walking distance for those that have no transportation on a stay. This one is on the Do not stay again list!

The staff was exceptionally friendly, approachable, and appeared to genuinely care about the guests. Alli at the front desk was especially kind, professional, and welcoming. The room was clean, but was missing the smoke detector and the wires were showing in the ceiling. The hot tub worked the first day, but was out of order the second day, and was un-clear. There was a film over the top of the water. The pool was mostly clean, clear, and comfortably warm.

Stayed there before and it was ok, but this time the hot tub was black at the bottom. The pool didn't look all that good either. Something was wrong and the next day it was shut down. The staff said the person that worked the day before put a chemical in the water and she didn't know what she was doing. We should of gotten a refund of some sort. The hotel is going down the drain. I will never stay again.

DONT STAY HERE Upon arrival, the hotel exhibited a pervasive unpleasant odor. Despite this, we checked in, only to discover our room had a strong mildew, smoke, and decaying animal smell. Furthermore, several electrical outlets were non-functional, a light switch was inoperable, and the refrigerator was not cooling. The pool was visibly unclean, the hot tub was out of service, and the bedspread was stained and soiled, necessitating sleeping without blankets. The front desk offered no resolution beyond a more expensive room upgrade. Consequently, my children and I endured these substandard conditions. THEY ALSO WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY

Definitely very uncleanness. I felt it was to the point of unhealthy. Make sure and pack house shoes and throw away after the stay. I realize the price is not for five star and I have had a lot cleaner for the price. Also the same trash was on the floor in the elevator for 4 days and someone had blown their nose on the wall. The pool and the lobby bathroom were even worse.

The pillows, blankets, mattress and sheets were stained yellow. We went to the front desk and asked for different rooms.He gave us two rooms next to each other this time, and those rooms were also unacceptable. The bedding wasn't damp in those rooms, but the pillows, blankets, mattress and sheets were also stained yellow. We could not stay there, so we left. He didn't give us a receipt & said that I need to call tomorrow when the manager was there to get my refund. .

The actual room was pretty clean itself. The hallways and common areas were not clean There was trash on the floors, full trash cans sitting outside the rooms and a funky smell in the hallway. The milk for the breakfast was a week past expiration date.

First room had black mold on ceiling and on the desk chair, linens were damp, and room smelled of mold and mildew. Were moved to a second room, lights, TV, and hair dryer didn’t work. Linens were damp in this room also. Moved to a third room, smelled of cat pee, and linens were damp in this room also. If I could give zero stars, I would. The only saving grace was the one staff member was very friendly and helpful. Otherwise, terrible.

We got the king suite and within 30 seconds of being in the room we saw four roaches crawling out of the couch. We immediately went down and asked for a refund and he said we could not get one had to call in the morning. I called in the morning and got $25 credit on my stay which is not even half of what I paid for the room! I do not recommend this hotel for anyone unless you want to go home with bugs.

We checked in and went to our room, locks on the door do not work, no soap for handwashing, soiled linens on the bed, have to have the light switch turned on to turn on the room fridge, ceiling cracking, bathroom disgusting. We were in our room maybe 15 mins before calling a different hotel for a room and immediately checked out. Staff did not care or ask why and will not issue a refund. Seriously do not book this place. I would not choose to stay in this hotel again. There were no towels in our bathroom, cigarette smoke was wafting in the hallway, the carpets were dirty and our coffee maker had no coffee pot. It was a rough place.

The property is old and needs a lot of maintenance done on it. Loose fixtures, loose towel holders. The sink only trickled water. How could the cleaning person not notice and report to maintenance? I would stay elsewhere next time.

The security lock on the door was broken, falling off the shower and water in the sink for look very low pressure not very good. Other than that the room was relatively clean. It was kinda outdated but other natters it was it was OK. Good condition.

Checked us into the wrong room, moved the next day to the correct room only to find out there was no hot water, so moved to another room. The breakfast was awful, we ate out the next day. Hot tub not in working order. No rooms had a bathtub like i had booked for, they all were small walk in showers. All 3 rooms had stains on the sheets. Tried to add pics and it won't allow me to upload. Cheaper rate for a reason! The long blonde lady manager was nice and helpful. The Friday night shift man was no help and no care to correct their mistake and would not switch us to the correct room with 2 beds and bath instead of the 1 bed and shower that he gave us. And if you book any 3rd party, they will not refund or credit back just a word of advice. That should've been pur first clue when we walked in and signs are up that say that. Obviously they have a lot of unhappy people! Speaking of which there was 4 complaints and rooms wrong when we were there for the 2 nights.

Did not like the bathroom/exhaust fan hanging from the ceiling. The plastic around the paper coffee cups was sticky. We could not get internet. Corners could have been cleaned better.

As I was checking out, I learned that I had been given the wrong room. Which would explain the broken door handle that I was assured would get fixed (it didn't). Also, while the room appeared to have been cleaned, there was a wad of hair clinging to the side of the shower (clearly missed). The AC/heater needs some maintenance and the windows need insulation. Bed was nice, shower was hot, and morning staff was friendly.

I had to move from my first room because of issues with the toilet seat. Next room the TV remote was not working and lights in the bathroom and shower area were not working. I asked for clean towels for my second night and when I returned from my travels that day, nothing had been done.

Before we made our reservation, I looked at the reviews and saw how they weren’t very good. But this location was convenient for us so we went ahead and booked. What a mistake. Trash in the parking lot when we arrived, no one at the front desk and rang the bell and waited a good 5 minutes. The person who arrived seemed put out. Got to the room and the AC was turned down to 60, so it was freezing. Found the toilet paper holder ripped from the wall. Realized that the AC was turned up so high because there was mold in the room on the bathroom door and along the floor of the bathroom. Too much moisture in the room. They of course didn’t have another room available, so we stuck it out. Next morning checking out, the manager was supposed to be manning the front desk but she was taking to some folks in the breakfast area. We frequent the Sleep Inn when we have business in Decatur and Sharon is awesome! Very friendly and helpful service good hot breakfast options in addition to quick sweets….definitely a solid recommendation for staying here

Your property was the most reasonably priced for the length of stay that I needed, with the best reviews. The room was clean and the staff friendly, especially Sharon, she was great! The good: Front desk staff was extremely helpful! The man working when I checked in late at night went out of his way to get me a laundry cart to help carry my belongings in when another guest had the baggage cart. Breakfast amounts were plentiful and regularly restocked. The pool was clean and warm! The beds were comfy and the room was clean! The bad: Breakfast attendant was loud and appeared to enjoy complaining. Breakfast had the same options both mornings we stayed. The hot tub had been drained and was not in working condition. There was a probable towel shortage...we had to ask for towels for the pool and when we asked for towels for our room, the staff asked if we had any upstairs that could be washed. We didn't, however, as hotel staff had taken our used towels hanging on the hooks but had not replaced them. One of our keys had to be reprogramed and the person working the front desk didn't confirm my name or any information before programming it to the room number I gave her. The TV wasn't working during our 2 night stay. We were told it was being repaired but didn't see that happen while we were there.

Do not book at this hotel. It’s filthy. They gave me a room that was occupied by someone already and when we opened the door the floor was covered with clothes. It looked like the people lived there. Could not even see the floor. When I told management they didn’t even bat an eye said they have a lot of those here. Gave me another room and the hall smelled of weed and room had stains everywhere, drips down the wall, sheets soiled. The pool and hot tub not working. We didn’t stay obviously. They said they would happily speak with expedia to refund and when that time came they hung the phone up on expedia and then refused to answer. Expedia did return my money but the whole experience was awful. The person I dealt with at hotel was Sharon and she lied.

Broken tv remote, lamps missing bulbs by bed, the window in room did not lock and i was on the first floor so, anyone could get access, pool nor hot tub was available the 3 days i stayed. It's in the middle of nowhere with nothing close in walking distance for those that have no transportation on a stay. This one is on the Do not stay again list!

Having a lake right outside the window was amazing. The hotel appears to be getting slowly remodeled, and it desperately needs it. With all of this being said though, this place has hands down, not even close, the best staff I've ever encountered. The 2 ladies that we encountered were friendly, professional, and EXCELLENT at what they do. Hopefully, when we come back to the area, this location has finished the much needed work AND kept these 2 ladies!!

Front office was cordial. Room clean. Very nice breakfast. Shower had a very large crack in the bottom that had been glued, and not attractively. Slight musty smell in room but I wondered if it was the a/c unit. Bed comfortable. Convenient for an overnight stay on a road trip.

Unkempt trash areas,mold on one of biscuits, limited selection of items. The pillows were not conformable ar all. Not a good night if sleep in them. The property seemed aged with some upgrades, but needing more upgrades. Not a good representative of a choice line.

It’s not the worst place to stay, but there were quite a few problems. The water pressure in the sink was basically non existent. The pool was really run down and not kept up at all. The hotel smelled like weed everywhere. The breakfast was terrible there was hardly anything. There were ants in our room and on the bed. I think for $80 it could have been a little nicer.

We frequent the Sleep Inn when we have business in Decatur and Sharon is awesome! Very friendly and helpful service good hot breakfast options in addition to quick sweets….definitely a solid recommendation for staying here

The actual room was pretty clean itself. The hallways and common areas were not clean There was trash on the floors, full trash cans sitting outside the rooms and a funky smell in the hallway. The milk for the breakfast was a week past expiration date.

We have a 18 mo toddler there were doors open to maintenance room where cleaning supplies and mops are and a room that has air conditioners are my toddler ran into both rooms didn’t hurt himself because we hurried to get him away but still should of have been doors closed. The food for breakfast didn’t taste well

The condition of the room was poor. Stained bedding, lights that did not work and were not plugged in. Loose fixtures in the bathroom. Front door was shaky and did not seem secure. Breakfast was fair at best and the orange juice was spoiled. Front desk was notified that the orange juice was bad and they never removed or replaced it, other guests tried it and threw it out. Upon check out no one was at the front desk. I would not recommend this hotel.
