This is a tricky one. The outside of the Motel was tired and dated. Their road signage still mentions the Staples Center which renamed nearly 5 years ago. The area was clearly challenging. The room itself was new and done to a high spec. Air Conditioning was great. It's clear they are refurbing the rooms and updating the property, but the issues with the homeless people around the property, and the evening/morning cabaret of customers shouting their problems at the top of their voices did break my sleep. The elevator broke for the last 2 days I was there so I had to lug my heavy bags down stairs when leaving. As a budget option it was fine, but given the choice I think I'd pay more next time for a property where I felt more secure.

Considering the area, the room was decent. I appreciate that the towels and sheets seemed clean. My only tripe would be they haven’t vacuumed so take sandals. My feet would get dirty and full of hair walking from the bed to bathroom. Other than that, 7/10.
