Older hotel that needs significant updates. However, conveniently located less than 5 miles away from the military base. We paid $35 per room for early check-in, but both check-in and checkout took too long. The front desk staff was mixed—pleasant but not very personable at check-in, while Mike at checkout was friendly and personable. We were also given used key cards. Upon entering the hotel, there was a very strong smell of Pinesol. The downstairs restroom was also left in an unacceptable condition. After a 7-hour drive and a long family day, we loaded the luggage cart, only to learn there was no elevator. The stairs were old, dirty, carpeted, and not air-conditioned. Our first room had a strong, unusual odor reminiscent of Fabulosa and possibly mold. It caused me significant anxiety, so I shifted to another family member’s room. The toilet was clogged, but was quickly fixed. The room phone did not work, and my room had no phone, only a clock as a substitute. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were flat. My uncle left during the night because he was uncomfortable breathing and found another hotel for himself. Breakfast was average, but meat would have been a nice addition. My aunt also reported seeing a roach in the breakfast area. Overall, the property needs better maintenance, cleanliness, and updating. I would not return or recommend.
