Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a first floor suite at West Park Hotel. Room was spacious with a comfortable bed and large seating area and a view over the park. We dined in two nights and the food was of a very good quality Staff are friendly and the service excellent. Breakfast is a bit hit and miss (very young waiting staff) but this did not detract from our overall experience. As regards the lack of parking it was easy to park outside between 6pm and 8am for free and we used the meter parking for up to three hours either side of this. There is also the NCP car park a minute or two around the corner £7.40 per 24 hours.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous decor and lovely rooms with some lovely little added extras such as magazines by the bed. Really friendly helpful staff. Lovely Bar/restaurant area. Highly recommend and will be going back when next staying in Harrogate.

We arrived late and as a result of a fairly traumatic time resulting in a hospital visit. The lady at reception was so helpful and accommodating and we felt welcomed immediately The room was lovely - she had even arranged dog bowls for the two dogs Really wishes we could have stayed longer. Great hotel, but wouldn’t book for a relaxing stay! The hotel itself is lovely and in a great, central location, but unfortunately our experience didn’t match the setting! The hotel has party nights with an DJ, which we hadn’t been made aware of. If we had known we would have booked a different hotel or at least been prepared. Music was very loud. When we spoke to staff about it, there was no real apology or understanding. One of them said, “What do you expect us to do?” and mentioned they try to put people on floors 1 or 2 when events are on—but we were on floor 3, which wasn’t very helpful! To top it off, we received a call in the middle of the night at 1:30 a.m. from head office asking if we were another guest. Our room phone showed 12 missed calls from them, which was really unsettling and disrupted our sleep. We also had issues trying to get a drink at the bar—on two occasions we waited for quite a while but were ignored, even though there were only a couple of other people there. No greeting or “be with you in a minute”. In the end, we left and went to a different bar. It’s a shame, because the hotel and location are great, but the lack of communication and poor customer service really affected our stay.

The hotel is very well placed and check in was easy and efficient. We ate in the restaurant which was unbelievably good. The food was fresh and plentiful and cooked very well (and reasonably priced). Breakfast was fantastic. Only downside was finding out when we checked in that there was a private party happening that evening. Assurances were made with a letter in the room that music would not be too loud and would all be finished by 11:30pm. While this turned out to be true, the bass from the disco was incredibly loud. A constant boom boom boom. We were on the second floor and had to turn up the TV quite loud and you could still feel it in your chest so no idea what those on the first floor suffered. Indeed on check out one guest was clearly unhappy as she settled her bill as no prior warning was given. Being our anniversary we were hoping for a nice peaceful evening with a great meal (which we got) and a bit of relaxation after a long day (which we didn’t).

A perfect stay. Room was beautiful, well appointed and immaculate. Every small detail was thought of to make the stay as pleasant as possible and was a delightful night. Was travelling for business and unfortunately didn't have much time to enjoy the hotel or the room but will definitely return soon for a weekend break as was massively impressed.

The staff were excellent, from receptionist to dining/bar staff. Our room was directly above back courtyard/bar area-on Sat afternoon loud music was playing until 9.30 pm-this was highly intrusive and annoying. We asked for a change of room but hotel was fully booked.

Extremely poor. First, we were asked if we wished to add breakfast to the booking, despite already having booked this. The system was clearly not working. Then, we were given a room key to room 107. Upon arrival, there was already guests in that room, a serious safety and privacy breach. The replacement room seemed nice, but the shower pressure was non existent and was a trickle out. Also, the shower head was so low, that unless you are 5 feet 5 inches or below, you could not fit underneath the shower head. At 6 feet 1 inches, I could not get anything below my upper back underneath the dismal shower stream. Then, on returning to the room at 11.30pm, the air conditioning unit was making a repeated grinding metal noise. Reception was called and maintenance arrived. They said they had been already aware of the malfunctioning unit (so why were they offering this to guests?) and the solution was to either sleep with it as it was, or turn off ALL POWER TO THE ROOM, which would stop the noise but meant we could not use any of the facilities in the room. My wife is pregnant and this was not suitable or appropriate. We ended up packing our bags and leaving at just after midnight to get a taxi all the way home. Way below a 4 star hotel from start to an early finish.

Hotel is very good, however our room on the first floor had the air con/kitchen extraction units just outside our window creating a noticeable hum/noise throughout our stay, not the best ambience. Also coffee pod machine in room didn’t work. This was reported to reception at 5.00pm but to no avail as it wasn't replaced/fixed during our stay.

We have stayed here before it’s a small but lovely hotel, I would recommend it to friends and family. Nice firm beds which suit me well. The food is lovely in the bar/restaurant, the staff are lovely and attentive. Only problem was we were told when my husband phone in advance that all rooms have walk in showers but our room is shower over the bath which I am unable to use due to my disability that means I can only wash in the sink 😣

The way the staff handled our checkout.Around £ 340-00 put on our bill for food and wine we didn’t order.Problem finding £150-00 deposit paid for Christmas Day lunch.The lady on reception was very rude and unhelpful it took a lot of convincing that we had paid a deposit and not ordered the other food and wine.Love the hotel but checking out ruined our Christmas the receptionist needs to be more customer friendly

Beautiful hotel and location is perfect for the town and with views of the Stray park too. I ate in the restaurant and the menu is great and food beautiful. Breakfast was also very tasty. Love the Scentair diffuser in reception-need this at home! Reception lady(Spanish) is amazing and super helpful. My second stay and I will definitely be back!

Allocated the incorrect room on check in. Room booked was described as city/park view. It was neither. Although the room itself was lovely, it looked directly onto a brick wall. Receptionist argued its what we booked, and that we could not get a refund. We were prepared to leave and go to an alternative hotel when they then offered to move us to a room with the view as we originaly booked. So description totally incorrect or booked into wrong room, still not clear which.

Extremely poor. First, we were asked if we wished to add breakfast to the booking, despite already having booked this. The system was clearly not working. Then, we were given a room key to room 107. Upon arrival, there was already guests in that room, a serious safety and privacy breach. The replacement room seemed nice, but the shower pressure was non existent and was a trickle out. Also, the shower head was so low, that unless you are 5 feet 5 inches or below, you could not fit underneath the shower head. At 6 feet 1 inches, I could not get anything below my upper back underneath the dismal shower stream. Then, on returning to the room at 11.30pm, the air conditioning unit was making a repeated grinding metal noise. Reception was called and maintenance arrived. Great hotel, but wouldn’t book for a relaxing stay! The hotel itself is lovely and in a great, central location, but unfortunately our experience didn’t match the setting! The hotel has party nights with an DJ, which we hadn’t been made aware of. If we had known we would have booked a different hotel or at least been prepared. Music was very loud. Our room phone showed 12 missed calls from them, which was really unsettling and disrupted our sleep. No greeting or “be with you in a minute”. In the end, we left and went to a different bar. It’s a shame, because the hotel and location are great, but the lack of communication and poor customer service really affected our stay.

Hotel is very good, however our room on the first floor had the air con/kitchen extraction units just outside our window creating a noticeable hum/noise throughout our stay, not the best ambience. Also coffee pod machine in room didn’t work. This was reported to reception at 5.00pm but to no avail as it wasn't replaced/fixed during our stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a first floor suite at West Park Hotel. Room was spacious with a comfortable bed and large seating area and a view over the park. We dined in two nights and the food was of a very good quality Staff are friendly and the service excellent. Breakfast is a bit hit and miss (very young waiting staff) but this did not detract from our overall experience. As regards the lack of parking it was easy to park outside between 6pm and 8am for free and we used the meter parking for up to three hours either side of this. There is also the NCP car park a minute or two around the corner £7.40 per 24 hours.

Perfect hotel for a weekend in Harrogate. Well placed for the centre with reasonably priced car park next door. Modern, comfortable room albeit a bit warm and the aircon a bit too noisy to leave on overnight but overall excellent.

Beautiful hotel and location is perfect for the town and with views of the Stray park too. I ate in the restaurant and the menu is great and food beautiful. Breakfast was also very tasty. Love the Scentair diffuser in reception-need this at home! Reception lady(Spanish) is amazing and super helpful. My second stay and I will definitely be back!

We loved the location and the room. The restaurant was really great. The staff were all friendly. We had an issue with the shower not draining, so you could only take a few minutes of a shower before letting it drain to avoid it overflowing,

The hotel is very well placed and check in was easy and efficient. We ate in the restaurant which was unbelievably good. The food was fresh and plentiful and cooked very well (and reasonably priced). Breakfast was fantastic. Only downside was finding out when we checked in that there was a private party happening that evening. Assurances were made with a letter in the room that music would not be too loud and would all be finished by 11:30pm. While this turned out to be true, the bass from the disco was incredibly loud. A constant boom boom boom. We were on the second floor and had to turn up the TV quite loud and you could still feel it in your chest so no idea what those on the first floor suffered. Indeed on check out one guest was clearly unhappy as she settled her bill as no prior warning was given. Being our anniversary we were hoping for a nice peaceful evening with a great meal (which we got) and a bit of relaxation after a long day (which we didn’t).

Well placed for Harrogate city centre and multi Storey at the back which is very useful. Staff friendly, food excellent. Had a dinner and breakfasts for our 4 night stay. They’ve furnished the restaurant with high quality stuff and the food meets that standard well. Not that expensive. The man who manages breaky has plenty of character which we like, got on well with him and he added to the experience. Nice guy. Reception are lovely, bar staff too. Will return to stay here well worth it.
