Caulking of the the bathroom, vanity & tub, was a mess. The railings on the pool & hot tub are not secure. Definately needs updating. I expected & certainly hoped for more from a Hilton Garden property.

Cobwebs and spider webs in our room, never have been to a place where we had to pay for our breakfast too, they’re normally complimentary. Hot tub was out of service as well, friendly staff but I can see why the parking lot was empty when we got there. Won’t be staying here in the future

The heater for the pool was out so everyone was in the hot tub and the jets didn’t work in it. The water was grey in the hot tub. My room was great minus the sink that dripped and was so tight that you had the drip or full blast on.

The hotel pool & hot tub was dirty. Rooms were clean except the vents & filters in the heat/air, these were full of dust. For people that have allergies & asthma this wasn't good. We didn’t have hot water & when we thought we would it was only lukewarm. One of the elevators wasn’t working on Saturday.It was working the first night we got there but then stopped. The only other elevator was barely working. During checkout I had brought it up all she said was I will let the engineer know. No offer for inconvenience or anything. One of the housekeepers showed more remorse for the inconvenience than the front desk. He apologized for all the inconvenience that went on this weekend & hopes this doesn’t stop from coming back. One of the workers that was doing the food area on Saturday morning she was very nice even though it was open yet she went back & filled my cup with steaming hot water for my coffee (that I brought myself). The breakfast was ok. I didn’t care for the set up. I wish it had waffle maker so I could have just made a waffle along with the eggs bacon etc. we didn’t have time to sit & eat.Now back to checkin. There was only 1 person at front desk and did a great job. It was a busy place with so many trying to checkin and others trying to buy goodies in the little snack area. She was very nice & apologetic for such a long wait.Hope they do deep cleaning filters & vents. Hopefully figures out the issues. If it wasn’t for the issues I would have gave all stars.

The hotel was fair. The bed was extremely firm and there were periods where the people walking in the halls were kind of noisy. The hotel seems dated and has two very slow elevators. For the price, I would expect a little better.

We booked this room here due to having a heated pool and hot tub. The pool was so cold we couldn’t even get in it and the hot tub was dirty and the water was black. So needless to say we couldn’t even do what we wanted to do at the hotel. Not very happy at all. It actually made me angry because I was doing this for my wife’s birthday as that’s all she wanted to do. But yet we couldn’t even do that.

Check in took quite a while due to system issues they were having. We asked for hypoallergenic pillows and were told they'd be brought up later since they were busy at the desk. We didn't get the pillows and by the time we got up to our room after a late concert, we were too tired to try and get them at 1am. The elevator was insanely slow considering the hotel only had 6 floors. Overall it was quiet, the rooms were spacious and clean, and parking was ample.

Our room was clean, but unfortunately the whole hotel smelled like a sewage line had broken out in the hotel. The room smelled musty but other than that everything was clean. It was a fine stay for one night, but i definitely wouldn’t have stayed any longer.

The place is completely disgusting. Wore shoes in my room because the carpet was so dirty you could probably grow a garden on it. Maybe that is were the name came from. Hopefully I don't get athletes foot from the disgusting shower.

We checked in around 11pm. Got to our room and unloaded the cooler into the mini fridge. The fridge was barely cold and had no knob to control the temp. Proceeded to wash my face and brush my teeth. I think I was so tired and happy to be off the road that I didn't check the bed first, like I normally do. The bed had multiple hairs-what appeared to be from a head and pubic hair. Gross... Don't get me wrong, I've checked into a hotel and have seen a singular hair. I try to give the benefit of the doubt that it could have been the cleaning person who it fell off of (I shed a ton of hair, so I get it). These sheets clearly weren't changed. A solid 10 short, dark hairs. What even looked like a weird clump of hair. I went to the front desk and changed rooms. The next room had clean bedding. Though the whole place is just worn and needs updating. Only one elevator was working. The wallpaper seams were all peeling. The tub was stained. The furniture was marked up, faded. The front desk staff was very friendly and nice at check in and when I came down about the room. For $300 and a Hilton Garden Inn this was not the typical Garden In experience. I would not stay here again. My bad for not checking Yelp first which I usually do religiously for many things but not hotel rooms. Lesson learned...

Our overall stay was not good. The bottom of our tub was dirty. When we showered it would not drain. Called the front desk and they said they would put in a maintenance request. That didn’t help the immediate problem. We couldn’t shower. We had blood stains on our sheets.

Like: Large & comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Clean and roomy. Dislike: Furniture in room is dated, scarred and "ad-hoc". No USB ports in room...c\'mon man...get with the times. Refrigerator was loud and noisy. I unplugged it.

The reason for thw raring was that the beds were hard as a rock. Very uncomfortable. The barhroom was outdated and neede improvements. Water pressure in shower almost none existent. And 9ce maker on 3rd floor had no.ice.

Room was expensive but entire facility is worn, tired and in desperate need of a remodel. The room was clean, but the bed was hard and uncomfortable, the shower was handicap accessible, but there was hardly any hot water and the shower head (hand held) was not adjustable and kept falling out of the holder. Just very subpar compared with rooms that are equal or less cost.

The staff was unprofessional and untrained. They didn’t properly check me in and then they threatened me repeatedly until I stood my ground firmly. Then they called the police to have me removed when they provoked me and threatened me repeatedly. I went back to tell the GM what happened over the weekend and she apologized but didn’t offer any way to make up for my very poor experience.

Construction early in the morning we stayed 3 night’s and every morning they where unbearably loud furniture outdated bed for a suite was hard the staff was one of the only bright spots everyone was super friendly and the Hereford house is a must eat

Spent a good visit to this property, the hotel is nice and the people are the best. Breakfast is not free, but the food is good. During my stay, on my last day, my car starter died and I had to stay longer until my car was fixed. When I had to make a longer stay, the reservation, maid service, and cafe people were very caring and helpful. Even with the problems of the car the visit was good. I would definitely recommend this Hilton Garden Inn in Independence, MO.

We got to the hotel at our check in time and there wasnt a room available for our reservation. So we decided to sit in the lobby and wait alongside a few other families. The lobby looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a while and there were spills and crumbs everywhere. After about 30 min of waiting we decided to shop while we waited. Finally at 5:30 we got the text saying that our room was ready, two hours after our scheduled check in time. Once we got to our room and entered i realized that the room wasnt the room that i had paid for. So i had to go downstairs and get a refund for the price difference or the room we were in. The staff were very helpful and did the best they could. Overall it was a dissapointing experience.

I was denied a stay that was booked online and was told it was because I was a resident of Kansas City. That’s shouldn’t have anything to do with allowing anyone to stay after the room was already paid for. Now I’m waiting on a refund that could take a week for this policy that they have. I will not have anything good to say about a Hilton hotel.

The staff was friendly and overall our stay was good. Great location for an event at Cable Dahmer Arena. We were disappointed with the condition of the room. The room needs updated. Rough furniture, dripping faucet, broken air vent, gross tub. I guess I have higher expectations for a Hilton and for the price we paid. They were also doing some work on the outside of the building. We were in town for a concert and wanted to rest before. The workers were outside our 4th story window talking and playing music.

I enjoyed the ease of parking and the safety of the area. The staff was very nice. The property could use some touch ups. The elevators were disgusting and needed vacuumed. The rooms were also pretty beat up and could use a little TLC. The bedrooms overall were alright, and the AC worked wonderfully. The 3rd floor (where my in-laws stayed) smelled super musty. Luckily, the 6th floor where we stayed was fine. Overall, the stay was fine, but I had hoped for it to be nicer.

Their customer service was great exceptional. I didn't like the dirty carpet in my room the furniture is old, the carpet throughout the hotel is old and for the amount of money that is charged the hotel should match the customer service. I didn't like that we're charged for breakfast and again for the amount of money that is changed our breakfast should be free!!!
