Really want to love this independent hotel, support them every time we go through town. Rooms are great, beds are great. A star off for a couple of reasons… the breakfast is very marginal, eggs but no sausage or bacon, no cheese or salsa. The work out room is always hot, even after inquiring about turning the temp down it doesn’t happen. They offer Hotels.com vip folks a free drink which is really nice and the on-site bar is beautiful, problem is the bar staff seems niserable. I don’t know why they are but it’s a total downer to go there.

Great stay for family during a softball tournament. The outdoor area was perfect. The restaurant/bar was not stocked for a tournament and ran out of food both nights we stayed.

Overall the rooms were clean. The pool area was dirty and the hot tub had lots of white foam in it which usually means it needs to be cleaned. We picked this location because of the pool and there was a scheduled pool party there which made it hard to enjoy the space as a hotel guest.

Nice looking place. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Only area that needs improvement was the pool area. Hot tub water was filthy and pool deck could use a deep clean.

There were a couple of things I didn't like about the stay. The pool was closed due to glass in the pool. I didn't like that they didn't offer a reasonable discount. It's one of the reasons we chose this location. The breakfast was a typical hot breakfast with fake eggs, undercooked tasteless potatoes, sausage, ect. and nothing was hot..it was cold. Just thought with the room price this should be better. When I returned my room keys to the front desk in the morning the person at the desk had an off-putting attitude and lacked a smile. The rest of the staff were friendly and at least acted liked they enjoyed their job. We like the isolation of the location, with good lighting and security, a large pond and walking areas. We didn't utilize the pro shop but liked the closeness of eating choices.

We booked our room because it was close to the venue of our event. The staff were super friendly! Check in went smoothly. Our room was larger than expected. The hotel itself is a little dated but is set in a great location. Our concerns: When we went into the room, the entire floor was sticky. The shower had a slope in the middle and you needed to stand on either side and the base to not be standing in the drain. Our bed had a few little black “specks” under the comforter and we found an old sticky price tag in the sheets. So overall: Wonderful staff … needs some work.

The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great. I stayed for a week and I had no real problems. They were making aome upgrades because the place was due for some. As a project manager for commercial construction they are right on time for aome upgrades. The only thing thar was a downfall was how dirty the woodgrain vinyl floors were in my room. I like to walk in my socks or bare feet and the floors were really really dirty. The type of graining on that floor just traps dirt in and makes it hard to keep clean. Otherwise, it was very comfortable. The staff was so wonderful that is for sure!!!

When I checked in they did not inform me my reservation would be changed from a king roon to a double queen. We had to go to the room and find out. Then went to front desk and asked about it, there was no apology. Then the bathroom was dirty, it looked like it had not been swept or mopped in several days. The breakfast offered was burning as we were leaving. We could smell the smoke from 3rd floor. So breakfast was not an option. Normally we love this hotel but it is not the same.

Very nice rooms! Super spacious and comfortable! The check in and out person (same one) was absolutely amazing!!!! The only thing lacking for me was the shower curtain had black stuff all over it (not mold) the toilet seat was not fastened. The shower head was really lack luster. Definitely needs some upgrades and attention. The hotel was booked to capacity with ball players and it was very noisy!

The pond and trail behind the property is very nice. The room we stayed in was probably one of the least well kept rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Even the coffee maker was dusty!

Overall the stay was fine. I had an issue when I first checked in. Staff was excellent but upon arriving to the room I found the sheets and comforter covered in what appeared to be dog hair. Staff immediately switched me rooms and gave me a drink token for the bar. Second room had no hair on the bed and smelled better overall. Surfaces were dustier than I’m use to in hotels but not a reason for me to leave. Bar/restaurant on site made a good drink. Didn’t try the food. Overall, place was quiet, easy to access and a good price. I would stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was modern and clean and the bed was fairly comfortable, maybe a bit too firm for me. The bedding was high quality. We had a view of the lake from our room. We went for a swim in the pool, which is open until 11 pm. Very relaxing. The breakfast had many hot and cold choices. The area was kept very clean and there was a lot of seating. There is a bar on-site that looked good and had a pool table but we didn’t go inside.

Everything was great about this hotel, except the noise. From about 11pm to 2am it sounded like wrestle mania above us. I did call down to the front desk, but it didn't help. So, if you are a light sleeper (like we are) I suggest asking for the top floor.

Everything went well. The room was very large one of the reasons we chose this stay. Breakfast was very good but oddly had 2 huge trays of eggs but no sausage or bacon. Also pancake batter ran out was not filled after about 845am. Also, the outlets in room had issues with the child safety locks trying to plug things in but that wasn’t too noteworthy. Ended up plugging into the lamps. Overall good

Another great stay at Stoney Creek. We love this hotel. Beautiful lobby with a dual fireplace and western decor. A great bar that has popcorn and multiple screens. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We're regulars!

This hotel was not as great as I was expecting it to be. I saw it had good reviews so decided to stay here but I didn’t have the same experience as most people. When I checked in, the staff didn’t tell me anything about the amenities and where things are located. For example, they didn’t tell me about when and where breakfast is served. The room I got smelled smoky/musty. I usually like to check the sheets as soon as I get there. Make sure they are clean. I found a long piece of hair. So I went to the front desk and they gave me another room. However, the second room wasn’t that much better. It smelled mustier. It was so uncomfortable to breathe. The person at the front desk said maybe it’s the new cleaning products they started using. She said she will make a note about it. That’s it. I was only staying one night so decided to suck it up and endure the smell. The room is pretty spacious. The breakfast options were really good. Parking is free. Those were the positives of this place.

I left my diamond earrings in the room when we checked out. I called the hotel at 3:45 am and Jacob answered. He assured me he would go directly to the room and get my earrings…and call me back. That’s exactly what he did. He called me back within 20 minutes with the earrings. He took my information and assisted in me getting them back. I am so thankful for him.

There was no VIP amenities at all. Place was half empty and no room upgrade. We were supposed to get free drinks and nothing was mentioned about it. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff was friendly and helpful.

I was unable to connect to the WiFi. The signal was poor and it wasn’t adequate for me to do my work. Shower was not cleaned and there was no body wash in the dispenser. The front desk staff was aloof and seemed more concerned that I was disturbing their consumption of hot Cheetos than helping me check into my room. I won’t stay here again

This property was great! One of the nicest hotels we've stayed in recently. Would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. Breakfast had a lot of options, the lobby and bar were nice and there was a great walking path just outside the hotel to get out and exercise and explore the area. It felt like a very safe area with shopping and restaurants nearby.

I was taking a boat to Minnesota for a tournament and stayed here for the night. Its a nice hotel. The area has a beautiful lake and walking trail. Its also next door to the Bass Pro Shop thats in walking distance. There was also plenty of parking for my truck and boat.

The hotel was conveniently located with and easy on/off of I-70. It was pet friendly, clean, and the room was in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable, and we were able to adjust the A/C to our comfort. Loved being able to walk around the lake. I was relaxing and pretty. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Really nice hotel - super clean - feels like a nice ski lodge with fireplace and welcoming lobby and room. Excellent service - everyone helpful and friendly. Nice lake and walking trails and also located next to major highways. Will stay again

Picked this hotel to watch the Yankees Royals series. Super easy to get to the stadium. Breakfast was great and the best part was the walking path around the pond/lake next to the hotel. Great for morning runs. Only thing I can think to improve on is the pillows. Not great but everything else was wonderful
