It was a good choice to stay at Ramada Plaza. Parking at this hotel was very good. They charge $30 per night for parking and there were enough parking spots during our stay. Our room was very clean and the location was also very good. Not too far from the Waikiki beach. I will definitely consider this hotel again for my future visit.

The only thing is that I thought it came with a kitchen but it was okay with the microwave and mini fridge I was staying 16 days so it said breakfast was provided but it wasn't, many good restaurants where right downstairs or next door.

Bathroom was dirty, hair everywhere! Even on the shampoo provided by the hotel. Had to pay $30 for parking! Description said parking was included in the reservation. Then we had to park in the “overflow “ parking and escorted by staff. Only to be woken up at 2 am to go move the car or it would get towed. Definitely would not recommend.

The hotel and pool was very clean and the staff was excellent. What you get for the low daily rate is great. Also, if needed, they have a good laundry room with prices lower than any laundromat in a town!!

This property conveniently did not mention their pool was under construction. So I would like a refund on the resort fees I had to pay, resort fees include amenities that were not included in the stay. That would make sense at least. Please contact me.

All the staff was incredibly friendly and pleasant. Rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable — it’s not a resort, but we didn’t need all the resort frills and prices! No breakfast or restaurant available inside the hotel, but a very good, local, and reasonably priced restaurant is just around the corner. Great location for sailing, scuba, and snorkeling, and a small beach is a block away. We will definitely stay there again!

Very nice place and the staff were very friendly. The only thing we noticed that we would say could use some improvement is the parking. Definitely need a larger parking area and for the price of parking it should not be so difficult to find a spot.

Good budget option close to the beach without the resort fee. You can get to many great restaurants walking, a quick Uber to Waikiki. Staff are accommodating and helpful on every level. Keep the place nice and tidy. Pool was lightly used during my stay, and the convenience of washers/dryers and a water filter to fill up your reusable water bottle are pluses. ABC stores either way you walk on the same side of the street. Closest public beach is Duke Paoa Kahanoku Park. Sweet spot and a great place to enjoy the beautiful water & sunsets. If your room is facing Ala Moana it can get a little noisy at inconvenient times but overall a nice enough room & facility.

The lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. Body hairs were left in tub. Glad I had slippers as the carpet was sticky. The pool had green algae on the wall of the steps. Building generally run down. Don’t know how it got 3 stars.

We ask that day to clean our room as we were leaving. Upon return, room still not clean and we made 2nd request. The bed was made up but sheets weren't changed. My husband had to request she change the sheets. The reason I know the sheets were not changed; my husband was sitting in the room as they cleaned.

We were very disappointed in this stay at th Ramada Waikiki. When we first checked in the young lady behind the counter was just short of being rude. We were 45 minutes early from our check in time, but even though our room was ready, the young women wouldn't let us in our room until the exact check in time. Every time we entered the lobby we were nearly overcome by a very strong "air freshener scent". Very overpowering. We had a rental car and in order to park in the hotel parking area we had to pay an extra $30 per night. And there was no guarantee of any space available. The room was clean, but very dated. The bathroom was ver old style with old fixtures. The hair conditioner bottle on the shower wall was empty, although they filled it when we left a note. There were three small square pillows for each bed and they were anything but comfortable. We had a late flight and asked for obly one extra hour to remain in the room. Absolutely not, and an emphatic no! The air conditioner would come on with a loud compressor pump and then go off after a short time. Then it would come back on again - all night long. Overall the place was extremely dated especially given the location to Waikiki. Not a stay we enjoyed. Will not return!

It was ok but the decor was a bit tired and I had expected a better class of hotel. The hotel was tucked back behind the Aqua Palms hotel. It was near the beach but not on the beach. One couldn't just cross the road to get to the beach, needed to walk to crossings to the left/right of the hotel to be able to cross the road. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the hotel for you, can hear traffic all the time, even hear people from the street and I was on the 14th floor! Great to have a microwave, fridge and deposit box in the room. However on one day, there was the smell of stale fat but I hadn't cooked anything. The bus stops are close by. Very near beach and the Ala Moana shopping centre, with local shops to pick up some milk, etc, but very expensive.

Great staff. Front desk employee Bo was very welcoming and kind. Room was comfortable and bed was good. Air conditioner is noisy, but I was able to turn it off and the room held the cool temperature through the night. Windows were dirty and obviously old. But, a comfy room, with microwave, safe, and mini frig, located short walk from swimming beach, and reasonable price. I would stay there again.

Property is clean and comfortable. Definitely what you would expect for the price. Not luxurious but if you see hotels as a clean place to sleep and shower then your needs will be more than met. If you’re hoping for luxury you will be disappointed.

I loved this place. My stay this time involved 2 hotels - this one and another nearby. Unfortunately I spent the majority of my time at the other one when I should have stayed here. I did get lucky to have a balcony on both stays, but there are not many in the building, so beware that you likely will not get one - in which case the room is still big enough, but I do love having a balcony when staying in Hawaii. The great thing is this place does not charge a resort fee - and it is definitely not a resort, but for the millions of times I've stayed in Hawaii, this place was great for the money. I normally stay on the east side of Waikiki - closer to the zoo/Diamond Head - and this was my first time staying this side. It is much quieter on this side. It's a plus/minus - it's wonderful to have it be so quiet and not hear all the garbage trucks in the morning like when you are in the middle/east of Waikiki. But it was also kind of sad to not see/hear/be in the middle of all the action. Both are good depending on the trip. I'd definitely stay here again. All the staff were super nice and welcoming.

Room smaller than what it looked in the photos. I got to the hotel a couple of hours before the check-in time. Although, they assigned me a room, they didn’t let check until 3pm sharp. The hotel is conveniently located and is a walkable distance from the beach.

In general, the reviews got this one right it’s right around a bunch of other hotels that are more expensive, but I don’t think it’d be any better. The staff were very good to deal with. I arrived extra early and I knew not to expect to get a room right at that time, but they did let me go in and use the. The laundry facilities and also I sat out by the pool for a while and use the Wi-Fi. It was very close if you want to buy some food for the room and the beach was very easy to get to. I would have no problem staying at this hotel also I found the maintenance was kept up with. I had a problem with the switch for the table light. I mentioned it to the maintenance people and they were up in no time to replace the switch. Also, the girl at the front desk was great to deal with.

Had to pay an extra 30.00 a night to park in the hotel parking lot. When i checked out had a terrible experience with Kira she was rude and nasty. Told me i owed for parking which had already been paid. She was very argumentative and then laughed in my face. I do not recommend this place and i will NEVER stay here again

I have enjoyed my stay at this property each time I have visited Oahu. The staff is very welcoming upon arrival and they are always so helpful throughout your stay. The rooms are very clean and are extremely comfortable, equipped with the things you may need to have an enjoyable stay. I also really appreciated the location of this property. It was so close to different bus stops/tour pick-up spots, restaurants, and a short walk from the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

No resort fee which is very rare in Waikiki. Microwave in the room was excellent for warming up meals and coffee. 10 minute walk to Ala Moana shopping, fabulous and 20.minute walk along the beach through Hilton Hawaii village to central Waikiki. A new Market place with supermarket ( ABC) only 200 metres away, Ihop, 3 doors away, truly a fabulous stay for the price. It's 5 minutes from Hilton Hawaiian village and the beautiful beach. Wonderful staff and happy to return. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

This hotel is at the quieter end of Waikiki, and all the better for it. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or bar, but there are dozens to choose from within minutes walk away. The more expensive end of Waikiki has many more Designer shops and the hotels are more expensive too. At that end the beaches are lovely, but crowded. Near the Ramada Plaza the beaches, a short walk across the road, are just as nice, wider in some parts, but nowhere near as busy. A number of Shopping malls are within 10 minutes walk as well, with all the big name US shops, plus all the Designers as well. The hotel has an adequate pool, a laundry room for guests to use, and it has plenty of machines and dryers, and the rooms are fine and very comfortable. They are slightly dated, but you won’t be paying top dollar to rest your head there. All that the island of Oahu has to offer is on your doorstep with all the excursions and experiences easily booked from your hotel room, and the ones we enjoyed even picked us up from close to the hotel (just opposite the hotel is the regular excursion tourist coach stop) The staff at the hotel were very helpful and knowledgeable and happily offered their advice and suggestions. If you’re looking for high 5* luxury then you’d probably find it elsewhere but if you want good, affordable accommodation in a great location then you’d be hard pressed to beat the Ramada Plaza.

Room had a musty smell to it. Could have been due to the air filter not being replaced for this unit. No restaurant or breakfast bar. The property is old. Could use an update. Parking was difficult. Had to park off site one night due to no parking available on the hotel property. Bring your own beach towels. Hotel does not provide any. No direct access to the beach.

I like the 10-15 minute walk to beach, 20 minute walk to shopping centers. The hotel doesn't have a kitchen, thus breakfast is not available. There are food stores and Enterprise car rental close by, though.
