I booked the wrong dates for myself with work. Got different days off and was able to rebook flight then turned to Marriott who allowed non refundable option on hotels.con to change to the new dates! Until it was confirmed it was nerve wracking! But Marriott did it. For whatever reason… when we arrived we were told that we got upgraded to a beach view… and what a view! Great hotel especially if you have someone with you with limited mobility! Pool wait staff… excellent! Luau on site… excellent! Definitely will be back!

The hotel was old and dated. It was not nice at all. Not clean either. They claim on the internet that they have 'ocean front' rooms. I paid the extra for an ocean front room and the hotel is not even on the ocean. You have to cross the street to get to the beach. The upgrade to 'ocean front' is substantial and there is no ocean front, just a partial ocean view. Also, they charge you over $100 per night, per room for security deposit. So I had to pay over $1400 more over the resort fees and taxes. And the hotel is not clean at all. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was extremely clean, quiet, entertaining and relaxing. Lots of amenities and stores on the bottom level. The hotel staff was flawless and always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Prices were also very fair compared to some of the other hotels. I will 100% be staying here again on my next visit.

We had issues from day one. No hot water, the batteries kept going dead in the doors and we had to wait on maintenance several times. We went 3 days without wash rags and had to reuse the towels we had.

We had no hot water the first day, we had to reuse towels for theee days with no was rags, we asked for a pillow top for our mattress which was never delivered, and we also got locked out of our room multiple times due to battery issues with the door.

Although the hotel is older it is kept incredibly clean and the room was updated. You see staff cleaning every square inch of the hotel starting first thing in the morning. The location is easy and all the nearby beaches give you different experiences within walking distance.

This hotel desperately needs a remodel. Old stained carpet in rooms and hallways. Bath tiles and grout old with ground in dirt. Staff was hard working, but they were desperately understaffed leading to long wait times in all of the on-site restaurants. Great location.

The manager was exceptional. I was at the property during the threatened tsunami. He clearly had a plan to execute during the emergency. He kept everyone safe. He gave out free food and water. He maintained order. His staff assisted with the execution of the plan. The manager and his staff were patient and nice during the entire ordeal.

The stay at the Waikiki Beach Marriott was very comfortable and always from checking to check out. The stuff is very friendly and accommodating and always ready and willing to help if you have any questions about anything. The hotel is Central to everything and walkable to everywhere. Check in process needs improvement - no one greeting guests and directing for check in. Bonvoy members had 4 agents (maybe even 5) checking guests in and ‘regular’ guests had 1 agent checking in. 1 awkward conversation with a supervisor greeting the regular guests due to the wait.

A great location run by accountants. The check in process involves queuing for 20 to 30 minutes and was busy during the entire stay, so it wasn't our poor timing. It was just understaffed. We booked the Luai there and it was so understaffed, in three hours we managed to get 3 drinks and had to beg for water. The seats were crammed together and the poor staff were run off their feet. At US$236 per head, the "vip" experience was a testament to their accountants ability to squeeze as much profit per square metre as possible. On the plus side, the entertainers were excellent. Overall what staff they had, if you can find one, were friendly in an unhelpful way. We lost a shirt around the pool and were sent around the hotel to three different locations to lost property. We gave up queuing at security, nobody was there and staff that saw us waiting there, ignored us. A clean, superficially friendly hotel, a perfect place to practice queuing and observe cost management of the highest standard.

Management was great Coco fixed all of our issues as well as Elaine can’t speak the same for the front desk staff who would talk over you not let you get a word in therefore I had to go to management both times and they were able to fix the situation promptly.

Fantastic experience here! The ocean views from our hotel windows were stunning! The breakfast and dinner were delicious - best steak I’ve ever had! And they even cook the omelettes to order right in front of you. The concierge was very helpful in arranging the turtle snorkelling and parasailing adventures. The location is great on Waikiki Beach. The roof-top restaurant overlooking the palm trees and the beach was fabulous.

Very satisfied with our stay at Waikīkī Marriot. I took out one star as we had issues with the toilet on two occasions. Big plus are the location, convenience, dining options (Arancino resto was very good, Queensbreak not very good).

We had a great time! Hotel restaurants were great and the staff was excellent especially Karen (housekeeping on 14th floor and Clayton (bartender) at the adult pool. Rooms were clean. The only downside was that room should have been described as partial ocean view instead of ocean view and there should have been more front desk agents for people who weren't members

The property was very clean, the gardening around the resort was absolutely beautiful. There are multiple shops, and restaurants for customers to use. The location is conveniently located to multiple shops, and restaurants all within walking distant. The adult pool staff were amazing, as well as the morning staff in the breakfast restaurant. I recommend the buffet breakfast where you have the option of ordering off menu or do the buffet, with an omelette bar. We did encounter a couple of rude employees who clearly were overworked or overstressed. I would defenitely stay there again.

The staff were friendly and we got checked in easily. No map of the hotel was given so we had no idea where anything was. There were “interactive directories” that you could use but it’s not very convenient. They also didn’t inform me that you need to use the key card to get the elevator to go above the 3rd floor. There were small signs in the elevator, but a heads up would have been nice. There was no bag for the ice bucket (also had to search for the ice machine) but the rest of the room seemed fine. The real issue was the notice that the water would be shut off from 9 am until 4 pm for two days of our stay due to an emergency. Okay, fine. We’ll be out all day anyway. Fast forward to 6 pm and there’s a note saying that something broke during maintenance and the water has been shut off. Nothing about when it might be restored, just a “Mahalo for your patience” and to come to the front desk for keys to rooms you can use to shower or for the toilet. So I get to wander all over to pee and share a shower with random strangers? I visited the front desk and received 3 different options, 2 of which were at least on our floor. Thankfully, by the time we returned from dinner at 8 pm the water had been restored. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the staff were all friendly and they got our linens changed out quickly when I realized they were feathers and I informed them that I have an allergy. Breakfast buffet is overpriced. Go to Dukes Waikiki.

Wish they had room service. The steak and sushi restaurant are amazing. The rooms are quite small but nice. Lobby is perfect especially with the ABC store. Was good for the price.

We were moved from the big island of Hawaii to this hotel in Honolulu,which we are very thankful for!But our flight got canceled due to weather conditions! I was hoping for some price consideration because of the situation but there was no discussion!I understand business but I also would expect that some circumstances would allow for some variances!
