The best part about the hotel was that it was only 2-3 blocks to Waikiki Beach and just 1 block to all of the restaurants and stores at the International Market Place. The hotel also had a self service laundry which was nice. The downsides were that it only provides maid service every 3rd day of your stay to the rooms and that there is a daily $35 parking fee if you have/rented a car.

Although not ritzy, comfort level is where any smart traveler is beyond content. All the comforts of home at your fingertips with room amenities topped with water dispenser in lobby.., I’m telling you, GOOD water. Free recent DVd’s for anyone crazy enough to not be outside in HONOLULU. Walk to beach is quick but the REAL advantage is you pass by all the hidden small restaurants that don’t have all the touristy bells and whistles. Food in these places like made from Mamasan. Happy hunting!

Stayed here for four days. Close to the beach if you don’t mind walking 5-10 minutes. Parking is limited and costs per day which is a little annoying but not deal-breaking. There are enough amenities to make it worthwhile and while there is no restaurant there is a bar and you can walk across the street to the neighbor hotels very nice restaurant or the 2-min walk International Market area.

Hotel is very comfortable and well maintained. My only other observation was that parking charge was $40 a night which is well above the norm. They also charge a resort fee of $40 which basically doesn't include anything other than the use of the pool. Otherwise outside of these overpriced charges I was pleased with the hotel.

This is a basic, older hotel, no frills, no restaurant. There is a fee for parking, we did not click on the fine print to see if it was listed there. Also, a surcharge, which was listed, but then increased the price. It’s a noisy neighborhood, so be prepared for traffic sounds

Hotel offers lovely views on either side of the property! Poop is very small and 9 feet deep like a pond ! Staff is kind and helpful! Hotel is worth it for the price you pay ! The parking here is absolutely terrible if you have a larger vehicle. The pool is very tiny. Being along the canal, there isn’t very much noise from the street. It is a very convenient, walkable location to the beach and dining.

Well it was inexpensive and the staff was super nice. My biggest complaint was parking. There are a lot of rooms and only about 40 parking spots, if that. People were parking in handicap and unmarked spots because there was nothing left. And there is no parking near by so this is actually a pretty big deal, especially when parking is an extra $30 a night. The room was minimal which I expected, but the AC unit was right at the top of the bed so all night you have that in your face or you have no AC which is miserable; a no win situation. It is close to food and about .4 of a mile from the beach which is nice.

When I booked, somehow I did not realize I could be in a two-twin-bed room. Twin beds are shorter than I am tall. Then, when searching for an outlet to charge my phone, I found a cockroach scampering around the bed trying to remain hidden. I was moved to a single-queen room the next morning, earlier than I would have preferred after 26-hours of travel . This new room had random long, black hairs throughout the bathroom--not mine as I have short, light-brown hair... Combining parking and resort fees brought the total cost of staying here to the same price as much more reputable, assuredly cleaner accommodations in the area. HOWEVER: The staff was very accommodating in moving me the next morning, especially after the short beds and cockroach. I didn't report the hair in the new room, I just picked it up. The property has a "beach bum" vibe and quick room-flips should be expected. If that's your thing, this is a totally ok place to stay. PROS: The Waikiki area is all within reasonable walking distance, maybe 5-10 minutes to several dining/shopping/beach options. The staff was super accommodating as well. The property wasn't to my liking, but that doesn't mean it won't work for you. Definitely a beach-bum vibe, with industrial carpeting to accommodate wet/sandy returns from exploring the lovely area!

7 days with no housekeeping service. Should be getting a refund!! Good luck to me. Rooms need updating badly. Torn curtains, stained couch. Dogs barking at 6:00 a.m. Not recommended..

Location was great. Hotel itself seemed very gross and unclean/unsanitary. Staff are great. Construction noise from across the building can be heard early mornings. Overall I would not stay here again due to the unsanitary of the hotel. If your looking for something cheap and close to everything and don’t mind all of the l issue’s mentioned, then you’ll be good here.

clean, well maintained, paid parking and it’s okay, it was easy to find parking in the garage, location was great, walking distance to Waikīkī and restaurants. close to CorePower Ward and Kahala. ice and water dispenser in the lobby, a plus for me. Will stay here next time or again.

We stayed for a week, on Day 1-2 we saw cockroaches creeping out at different times of the day. They sprayed Raid after I brought it up to their attention. Took care of the problem but can't deny it didn't keep us on our toes the remaining days. Outside of that it was ok.

The property is within about 200 meters of the beach which was perfect for us. Watch out for the surprise $35/day parking fee and the add-on tax post booking which nearly doubled our total hotel cost. We stayed 3 nights and the room was never serviced.

You’re pretty much obligated to pay $35/day for onsite parking because it’s impossible to find street parking. Considering that I paid a little over $1900 for 6 days, I would’ve assumed it was a decent hotel. I got absolutely no sleep because the windows were accordion style and did not block out the street noise. The window box AC made a loud rumbling noise half way through the night and lasting a good 45 seconds each time. Imagine the end cycle of your dryer going off and vibrating in your bedroom. I don’t know what’s worst, that or being able to hear the entire conversation from the room next door. The bathroom had yellow stains all over the wall, and without a bathroom fan during my showers made the god awful mildew smell unbearable. To top this off, the shower went from smoldering hot to cold within seconds and eventually clogged for no apparent reason. You definitely pay for what you get.

I haven't got hotel accommodations like this before in my life. So tiny.. Even though i stay there alone feeling like that. There was just a queen bed and no ending table Due to tiny space. Bath room was shabby like hostel's. I wont go there again

Overall I enjoyed staying here but the reason I’m giving it 4 stars is mainly because of the water. When it came to taking a shower the water temperature kept changing drastically from HOT to SUPER cold. This affected my baby the most. Also the mattress on one of the beds we got felt like it needed to be replaced. My baby and I would sink in. It only happened on one bed the other one was nice and firm. The parking is limited but since I paid to have a spot I was guaranteed a spot or else they would take care of finding a space for me. I did love that. BUT if they are full you will not be able to pay for it. I felt safe there and the staff was friendly. The beach was close by we would walk there and there are also plenty of restaurants nearby. We only had to use our car when we left Waikiki.

Very conveniently located, staff was kind, but the noise levels are through the roof in this area! Can hear all the traffic and your neighbors next door (very thin walls). I really liked that they also partenered with the Bishop Museum and Honolulu museum for free admission upon reservation. If you're a heavy sleeper shouldn't have any issues!

It was my 3rd stay at this hotel. Excellent location, right in the heart of Waikiki. Small hotel but convenient and with everything that I needed. Room was bright, spacious and comfortable. It was equipped with mini fridge, TV, microwave, coffee maker and room safe. Water cooler and ice makers are in the lobby. Great low-cost option. Front desk agents were friendly, helpful and professional. As other mentioned, room decor is a little dated, but bed was comfortable and room was clean. I will definitely stay there again.

Customer service and communication can be improved. While I booked room/tax through Expedia, I called the property directly to obtain a credit card authorization form to complete and ensure a hassle free, smooth, and easy check in for my 18 year old traveling for a sports tournament. The agent confirmed receipt and ensured all information was obtained for his arrival. Well, it was far from seamless, complete opposite and such a headache. When he arrived, he was told he was not allowed to check in because I was not there to accompany him. For the record, I’m a former hotel manager and I make this same arrangement frequently for my teen legal ahe adult kids and his athlete friends. I was placed on hold numerous times while he’s standing at front desk and I as told several times that the agents were too busy to help him get checked in! After about 20-25 minutes of me verifying my information AGAIN, and the agents finally assisting us (son standing at front desk and me on the phone), he finally got up to his room. Also, the agent admitted to NOT reading notes and instructions in the reservation. Had she just done this, all of the confusion could’ve been avoided. Do better.

Every single member of the staff was friendly, kind, helpful and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I recommend this property to anyone planning a vacation in Hawaii. Oh and it's only like 4 minutes, walking to Waikiki Beach. Also, there's onsite laundry facilities which was a definite plus. Davery and Lance were the most awesome. Consider Aqua Aloha Surf, it's worth the stay.

The location was around the corner to Target & multiple restaurants . Ala Wai canal across the street provides good area for morning walk. Away from the bustling crowds of Kalakaua Avenue & walking distance to beach were a consideration. My only greivance was vehicle noise & emergency vehicles useage nearby. The lobby was comfortable. Had a good view from.our balcony room.

Great hotel for the price. Location is good - central Waikīkī, with amazing eating options in easy walking distance. And beach is easy to walk to as well. No views and rooms are worn, but it was clean and quiet with great location so we were perfectly happy.

Hotel is on a very busy street with police cars, fire trucks, garbage trucks, motor cycles and hot rode cars making a lot of noise day and night. Is an older hotel but was comfortable. Staff were very helpful with any questions we had. There is a $35. a day resort fee you pay at the hotel on check out over and above your room charge. With that, they do supply you with beach towels, beach chairs, Ice, water, storage of your luggage if you need before leaving and a book exchange is available.

The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating, check-in and check-out is quick, you are a 4 minute walk to Waikiki Beach, you are right in the heart of all the great dining and shopping, and this is the best bang for your buck. The hotel is safe, clean, and while it is an old hotel, that just means it has good bones!

A low cost alternative to the beach front hotels. Nothing fancy but far from terrible. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and there are stores and restaurants all within a few minutes walk. You don't need a car here, in fact, it's easier without one. Uber or 'TheBus' is all you need.

We picked this hotel become they offered breakfast. There was no breakfast available not even a simple continental breakfast. The price the added for cleaning, fees(not tax), and parking fees should have been modified. The rooms walls really need to be cleaned down. The staff were all very kind and helpful.

It was close to Waikiki downtown so we could walk. We also could walk the canal. The pool was quiet and refreshing with a nice deck area. It was great to sit and have coffee on the deck in the morning. We loved that nice beach towels and chairs were provided. Staff were so friendly and helpful. There were lots of options for dining as well as the market and ABC stores near by to buy breakfast food and liquor.

I've been returning customer for years and always liked this hotel. However this was probably my last time. The property went down the hill significantly and it is not worth the money anymore. Very disappointed. Mold in the bathroom, run down amenities, no breakfast anymore, restaurant closed, and people at the front desk pretty unhappy like they hate their job. All just very sad vibe.
