This property is under construction, and the condition of the hotel is horrible. I can not believe there was no disclosure on Hotels.com. I tried to cancel and get a refund, but to no avail.

This was undoubtedly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything important under construction! The pool closed, the gym,closed the outside sitting area being used for construction prep, common area bathroom one closed one so filthy that it was unusable.None of the common area hallways had been cleaned, they where filthy with drywall debri everywhere. No air conditioning in common areas (77-80 degrees). Air conditioner in room not on ( took an hour to get below 75 degrees. The elevator was broken down also (our room was on 3rd floor).

They seem to be updating things such as new flooring in room and breakfast area. Beds were very comfortable. Water at sink in room not working the best, couldn't regulate temp. Overall cleanliness was good. Pool was said to be under renovation.

There isn’t good intermediate choices of hotels in this town. Out of those limited choices, I think this hotel’s building including pool area has good potential, but the building is under renovation as of Feb ‘24. An employee explained it will be completed in a month. If construction is fully finished and cleaner, it would be better.

The property is in the midst of a refurbishing. Everything that has been finished is crisp and clean. The pool area was not accessible but looked very nice. The breakfast was substantial with bacon, eggs, tots, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc.The front desk was polite and the check-in and -out was easy. I would definitely recommend.

Decent hotel very close to the college. It’s undergoing massive renovations which will be good for future visitors. The hotel is outdated but clean. We noticed the elevator inspection was 4 months out of date. The vending machines were empty and some of the entrances were closed due to Renovation. Very friendly staff would make me stay again if my daughter goes to Miami.

The property has seen better days. They are doing a massive renovation to the common areas (looks nice), but I did not see any work on the guest rooms themselves. The pool is closed for construction, the fitness room is closed as well. Fixtures in my room were old and in poor repair.

I have stayed here two other times and it was fine. This time it was unbelievably terrible. There was construction going on throughout the hotel which I was not made aware of prior to arrival. The lobby and "dining area" were extremely dusty, dirty, wires hanging from the ceiling. I can not believe they actually had food served in an active construction area. My room was also dirty. The towels and lower half of the shower curtain were yellow. The halls smelled of cigarette smoke. I am not sure what regulatory body governs hotels but if they saw the condition of the hotel and that guests were staying there they would probably shut it down.

Carpet in the room had multiple stains, bed was kind of made but it was questionable whether sheets were changed and hallways in the hotel had a strong urine smell throughout. Will definitely not be staying here again.

The room reeked of mildew due to a leaky toilet the contents of which would flow onto the floor when flushed. Over all the room was shabby and not well maintained. When I complained I was offered neither a different room nor even a token discount. The staff was indifferent at best, barely offering a greeting when we arrived.

It was very dirty. The mirrors had streaks all over them. The toilet seat was broken and it struggled to flush. We were leaving the room at one point and we saw a room where the toilet had overflowed and there was an enormous puddle on the carpet right outside the room. Disgusting. When we checked in, the man never told me about the available breakfast (which I would never have tried anyway as it looked filthy) When we checked out, the woman behind the counter never said hello or, more importantly, how was your stay? Probably because she knew what I would say. We only stayed there because it was close to the University but in retrospect, i would accept the inconvenience of being farther away. Two nights in this disgusting place cost me close to $900. NEVER AGAIN

The smell in the hotel was less desirable. The room had paint splatter. The tub had hair in it. There was pubic hair on the ground in the corner of the bathroom. A commercial grade metal staple on the floor in the bathroom. The sink in the main area as it is not in the same room as tub and toilet was dirty. Smelt gross in room. Carpet paint splatter lights had paint splatter. For the amount paid this is disgusting.

Shower had no drain plug and did not drain, so you showered in 3 to 4 inches of water. The door didn’t close unless it was pushed closed. The secure lock didn’t work. The air condition could not be controlled by the thermostat in the room b/c it was busted. For the price I paid this hotel is not worth it.

The bathroom was difficult to navigate. The set up is awkward. Other than that it is a good hotel. Some rework in there and some amenities would go a long way to making it a very nice stay. Everything else was great!

i thought the room was a little small but comfortable. I didn't like how they had the bathroom.. you could barley shut the door. it was very small because the vanity was outside. but, overall it was a very nice hotel.

When we got there, the hotel was under “renovation.” There were big boxes of beds in the hallway making it very difficult to get through the hallways. Additionally, our keys did not work to the room. I took them back to the desk, they reset them. I tried them again and they did not work. I went to the front desk, we were out into a different room. The keys to that room did not work. When I went down the front desk, the gentleman seemed very annoyed with and believed that I was the reason the door did not open. He came up and fired the keys, they did not work for him.

Management is super friendly, kind and helpful. They are making upgrades and the hotel is under renovations. I have no complaintsl. My daughter attends Miami University and we have stayed here now 3 different times since the new owners and our stay has been fine.

Coffee was horrible. Breakfast was low quality food. There was old cheese stuck to the microwave safe dish. Do a better job cleaning the place. Last time I was in Oxford I stayed at the Baymont. I didn't want to go there again. Surprise. It's the old Baymont inn. Ownership changed. Everything else is the same.
