The breakfast was great. But unfortunately when we pulled down the blankets/sheets on one of the queen beds there were dirty black socks left in the bed. So not sure how they would be in a clean bed with new sheets…yuck.

It's a great place to stay. Located close to Miami U. We have family that lives there, so we have stayed at several hotels in Oxford over the years, this is our favorite. Pros: Very comfortable mattress and pillows. One of the best breakfast buffets around! Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Bathroom sink had a lot of counter space. Cons: Cheap, thin, uncomfortable TP and face tissues. The our room was dimly lit, even with all lamps on. It needs more lamps and/or brighter bulbs. During football season, rooms may be hard to find so the price goes WAY at all the hotels.

It’s going to be hard to stay somewhere else in Oxford after this visit! We live out of state and have a student at Miami. We’ve made quite a few trips in the last 2 years and stay wherever there’s availability. While the Elms is similar as far as quality and cleanliness, the breakfast makes Hampton Inn the clear winner.
