Super convenient location. Older property that has been well updated and maintained. Management excellent and personal - a daily text to inquire if I needed anything. Will stay there again and highly recommend this property to anyone who wants basic accommodations and doesn't want to pay for extras they don't want or won't use.

Stayed here for three days and service was over the top good. The room was a little worn out as it looked like this was an older building, but everything worked as it should’ve and the bed was comfortable. There was also easy access to parking and the staff took care of issues promptly, including a defective card. The HVAC unit ended up being a heat pump that was a little bit tall for even me to use and I’m just about 6 feet tall. It also took some fine-tuning and adjustment to get it right for comfort. Once I did, sleeping was no problem. The parking lot was also well lit and considering that I drive a service truck easy to negotiate. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay in the Oxford, Ohio area, I would check out the Butler Inn.

This is a roadside motel. As long as your expectations are in line, it should do you just fine. Easy accessibility for animals which I require for my dog.

Oxford, Ohio has limited hotel options. In a pinch, this is a nice place to stay. It is not a full-service hotel with a restaurant or lobby. But is a mile away from campus, the rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. I would stay again if I could not get into one of the larger hotel chain offerings in the area close to Miami University.

We enjoyed our stay. Very accommodating with our cars and a big U-Haul. The paint was perking a little in the bathroom but everything else was great and no extreme price gouging like the other hotels in Oxford. Would definitely recommend

Pleasantly surprised that this smaller scale property was so beautifully updated. Loved the decor, friendly desk clerk and accommodating housekeeping staff who came in daily. You can make ice cubes if you bring trays for motel freezer. Would definitely stay again!

Our room was awful - Uncomfortable beds, seriously in need of a more thorough cleaning. Maintenance (or lack of) was almost laughable. It looked like they used tape instead of caulk around the tub, and the sink was dangerously close to pulling out of the wall (with no pedestal underneath) and they had used a piece of a 2x4 board to prop it up. If someone bumped the the 2x4, the sink could end up crashing down on thier feet. We told the manager about it and we just got "I'm sorry."

Exterior of the property has a nice appearance. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Floors were entirely vinyl and they were filthy and my feet showed it. Tub drain was extremely slow so at toward the end of my shower i was standing in about 8” of water. Bath vanity sink was also plugged so when brushing teeth it took forever to rinse the sink down. Next time I would rather pay more and stay somewhere where rooms are a little bigger and cleaner. I guess you get what you pay for.

I had a very nice stay at The Butler Inn. My room was updated and the bed was nice. The bathroom was small but functional and everything was as advertised. The manager was very friendly and helpful and checked with me to see if I was happy and needed anything. One of my favorite features is the lanterns that made the property welcoming at night. This was a convenient and affordable place to stay.

This hotel is very very old and it has been remodeled by simply covering over old musty stuff. I have horrible asthma and it is awful. I wish I had known.The room itself is clean but the attempt to cover over old materials cheaply is unfortunate. It is like spending the night in a musty basement. The woman at the front desk was pleasant and attempted to make it better but there is nothing that can fix this situation. I wish had known.

Property seems recently updated, but updates purely cosmetic. Doors do not close properly (gap between exterior door and frame, bathroom door required a shoulder shove to close). Tub drained very slowly and hot water took several minutes to reach room. Floor uneven with big gaps and slopes within the room. Room had a significant musty/old cigarette odor. Noise travels easily from neighboring rooms/outside. On the positives: staff friendly at check in and beds surprisingly comfy.

I booked this hotel based on all of the positive reviews, but I think a lot of them are misleading. This is most definitely a motel. It is a renovated, updated, and clean motel, but a cheap motel for sure. Google has this listed as a 3-star hotel, which can't be true. The room was clean and updated, but the room door did not feel secure or fully sealed, and the AC was extremely loud. The bathroom was the least updated with the tub being stained and old. There was also no soap in the bathroom, just shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. I'm sure I could have asked for soap because the hotel owner was very kind, but that doesn't feel like something I should have to ask for. The price reflects what you get, a cheap motel, but a clean one with updated flooring.

For a quick night, good. The only issue was you could see light around the door and the cold air would enter. Had to constantly run the heat. Also, was are super thin, could hear the neighbor and his tv.

I have stayed at almost every hotel in Oxford. They are ridiculously overpriced, outdated chain hotels you would find off a major highway and all charge a fortune - min $300/night taxes I stayed at Butler Inn for the first time dropping off my son for his senior year and was sooo pleasantly surprised. It’s clear the rooms are newly renovated - they are modern and super clean. I understands Butler Inn takes pets although I didn’t bring mine. I checked in very late and the front desk could not be nicer. It is located a short, 3-min drive from High Street on the main road that leads out to the Walmart. I wish I had known about this gem sooner! My only word of caution is be careful leaving the room - the step down is a big one and unexpected.

Room needs attention. Door didn’t shut well and made the room cold. Bathroom fixtures are broke and just overall unkept. Room was fine for the price but more attention to detail would help. Staff was very nice and friendly. Overall stay was fine.

The property was comfortable. The issue I had was that I accidently booked on the wrong date, then cancelled within the cancellation policy, and rebooked for correct date. The property would not refund me for the incorrect booking date. Therefore, I essentially paid twice for the same booking. This is poor customer service considering I realized my mistake immediately and rebooked for the correct date right away and within the cancellation policy

Stay could have been good, but when I needed to get ready in the morning for the day, my shower did not work and no time to fix it. When I need to check out I tried to explain what had happened and the front desk worker did not speak any english. It was frustrating on all levels.

We had scheduled a 2-night stay for a college visit but unfortunately it had to be cut short because of an unexpected funeral. We had made the reservation through a third party who was giving us the runaround to obtain a refund. The manager of the Butler Inn went above and beyond to help resolve the situation and I am so grateful! I highly recommend this property based on the customer service alone. Great location too!

Very nice staff, courteous and checked in on us to make sure everything was in good shape. And also the next day as well. Clean, quiet convince to park and ease of booking. Landscaping was very neat and beautiful hanging baskets along the walk ways. Great place to stay!

Cute little establishment with excellent, friendly service. The bed was very comfortable and I greatly appreciate the flooring NOT being carpeted. It has all the things you need when traveling. Great location for Oxford (walkable) and also for an easy visit to Houston Woods State Park, less than 10 minutes away!

The Butler Inn was a good choice for a Miami weekend visit. I found it clean, stocked with the usual amenities-including a mini fridge and microwave, and overall exceeded my expectations for a motel such as this. While not luxurious by any means, it afforded a very comfortable stay for a busy weekend. I was impressed with the customer service and the cleanliness of the place. My only mark against them would be that the water for the shower was not very hot. I would definitely stay here again, especially for the price that many Oxford hotels charge for busy parent weekends.

This was a nice motel stay. Rooms are clean and dont have that moldy , smoky smell. They are very clean and highly hygenic. Conveniently, stores were nearby and we enjoyed a family breakfast right at Bob Evans in walking distance.
