The under ground parking is very very narrow to get in and out. Only one way in and out.

Not healthy and limited options. There was a cockroach in the bathroom. The parking is limited and very challenging to utilize.

Parking garage has a very narrow entrance/exit ramp. Without help guiding us from a nice man I don't think we would have been able to get out.

Rooms were way too small. Beds are not of true size. My Queen bed was the size of a full. Underground parking very cramped.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the roo..was extremely small. There was o ly enough room for the queen sixed bed amd just enough space to walk around it. There was no room for even a chair. Just a bed. We found a live roach in the bathroom. Parking was underground with only enough space for 10 cars, so some custo.ers had to park somewherenout on the street. The AC init was quite noisy. Fortunately, we didnt spend much time n in the room. There was a pleasant patio for sitting and eati g, or justbto read a book. The hotel is conveniently close to the Movie Museum, Farmers Market, and the LaBrea tarpits. There wereany good restaurants also wothin walking distance.

Employees are exceptional!! Building is a bit old but clean! Parking is NOT for large vehicles so don’t attempt!!!

The location is great, with complimentary breakfast provided. The property is old, air condition is noisy and hard to get a good sleep. It has a very narror underground parking.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location near the grove which is what we wanted. Quick and easy checkin. They even had waffles, bagels and fruit for breakfast. Nice little courtyard.

This was a good stay especially with the areas we wanted to visit in LA. My only issue was the parking. There is a small, tight parking area under the hotel. This was not easy to maneuver for my Nissan Armada. There are a few spots in a small lot down the alley for the hotel too.

Great for a last minute booking. Smell from the swamp cooler was bad though, moldy. Awesome free breakfast items. Clean beds. Some lights in the room were not working though.

Trash in the room from previous guest, facility can use a update and breakfast area needs at least two waffle machines due to long wait to use only one for entire hotel.

The room we were given was hot and stuffy. The a/c unit was right beside the bed and had a very strong urine odor blowing out of it. We asked to be moved to a different room. The room we were moved had a very strong sewer smell coming out of the bathroom. Breathing that foul air is not acceptable. After the first night I tried to cancel the reservation, but the hotel would not refund my payment. Highly disappointing. Extremely unclean. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room had unpleasant smell from a combination of old, smoke, mold, and chlorine. At first we thought it would improve with the windows open, but it did not. We had a late check in, so it was not easy to move out and find a different hotel. The next morning, a room attnendant offered a diffrent room, but guess what, it smelled the same. Also, the toilet flush was not completely working . We had to hold the lever a couple of mins before the water could go down. This was defimitely not a pleasant stay.

Nasty, we checked in and the room was full of cockroaches! Nasty!

Not updated in a while. Parking garage is very narrow and rooms are very out dated. Carpets look very dirty.

Very tiny room but it’s clean. Just too small. All you can do is lie down on the bed the second you open the door.

The room has a weird layout. The sink is separate from the Bathroom, which would not be a problem except that there in no light near the sink. So it's really dark if you are trying to comb your hair, apply makeup etc. There is a switch there for a light, but no light fixture. The Fan in the Bathroom is really loud, as is the A/C unit. The TV is mounted in one corner of the room, and does not swivel at all.

We stayed in a room that fronted on Beverly Blvd. Very noisy all night! The room needs two double pane windows to sound proof the room.

Room was nice although one bed squeaked. Traffic noise was significant so avoid front facing room if possible. Management very kindly allowed late checkout at our request.

Overall - for a budget accomodation. It does the job. Unfortunately. We ended up checking out early as it was not for us. When I first checked in - staff was super friendly which is amazing! Big tick. However that was about all I can give positives for. Our room was tidy however the fridge rattled all night. The people above us sounded like a heard of elephants running rampant until 4am. The shower ceiling looked to almost be falling down and the carpark was super tight - if I didn’t have someone guiding me I would not have been able to get out without damaging the rental car.

Only complaint I might have is the size of the room and that the bathtub did not have anti-slip coating other than that a nice hotel

The hotel was nice and clean, but showing its age as it was probably built in the late 60s or in the 70s. The staff were very friendly. You had to ask to have your room made up each day, but staff were very good and the room was very clean, beds were made and new towels every time we asked. The air conditioner was noisy and the beds were hard. The driveway was incredibly tight and there was plenty of evidence of wall scraping, you need to have a small narrow vehicle or be a very confident driver. Walking distance to the nearby Los Angeles Farmers Markets and the Grove shopping centre.

Made a reservation for a room with 2 beds. Got a call the morning of the reservation saying that my room was not available and that they could give me a room with 1 bed for only a partial refund of 20 dollars. For four people in my group, that was not enough room to sleep so I requested a larger refund or other accommodation but they were reluctant to offer much for our group. Overall, would not recommend this hotel as they were unreliable and unwilling to accommodate for their wrongdoings.

My child was injured in the hotel room – on June 13, while lying on the bed, my son sustained a bleeding facial injury due to dangerous furniture (bed structure or sharp edges). The bedsheets were stained with blood. I have attached photos. 2. On June 14, when we returned late at night, we were locked out of our room. There was no staff on-site, and only a handwritten note said “Front desk on break until further notice.” We waited outside for 3–4 hours with a child, unable to access our room. 3. The property was completely insecure – the exterior doors were left open to anyone, and there was no security or staff to control access. Anyone could enter from the street. This created a serious safety risk, especially at night. Best customer service by Kristy and Gina they went far beyond great service so friendly welcoming and accommodating . Also great service by Brigitte , Francisco and Anthony . I’m a frequent traveler and I will definitely return to this property . Perfectly located and close to everything.

The hotel was great. I really want to give a ton of credit to the person up front (Bridgette Joy) she was great, She helped us with some problems with some of reservations from the app & she was overall very kind. The place was pretty nice.

The staff were very nice. Friendly, pleasant and helpful.

Had issues with my room when checking in. The front desk receptionist was not kind or friendly. Our had knats that they did nothing about. Sink was broken so the hot and cold were only working sometimes. Breakfast was very limited and not much of a variety to choose from.

This seemed at first like a just decent, although pretty basic, hotel to stay at while I was in LA for a show. But the staff here were absolutely amazing! Incredibly helpful and kind, going above and beyond. I rarely leave reviews but I wanted to give them a boost for the staff alone. Bridget in particular and the lady at the desk the night I arrived were really wonderful.

The staff at this hotel is outstanding. Bridget and Joanna went above and beyond to accommodate us. Hotel is nice and has a cute courtyard. It’s a little old so the floors creak but other than that it’s a nice place for the money.

Affordable, friendly, unfussy and wonderfully located -- right across the street from CBS Television City (if you have reason to visit the studio) and about a block to the swanky The Grove shops and the historic Farmer's Market and restaurants.

Close to Cedars-Sinai hospital.

We liked the location it felt safe and it was near what we wanted to visit which was Hollywood blvd and universal studios … my room was clean everything worked as it should and it was quiet we got some good rest

Great location with free parking, which is absolutely a plus for LA. Pan Pacific park is nearby so one can jog or stroll whenever, the Grove and the Farmer’s Market is within walking distance. The only downside is the breakfast imo.

Great location to several tourist attractions. It is a little older and you can hear traffic easy through windows. Overall it was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Room was great, and excellent location. Parking limited but free!. Save hundreds! Staff were great too, thanks for all, the Grove shops and Farmers Market is just 5 minute walking, no need pay parking to go there. Franklin, stayed 4 days (23-27-2024).

The hotel is reasonably priced considering the convenience of the location. There is an Erewhon, Whole Foods, and CVS within a 10-minute walk, not a few restaurants within walking distance, and there are several bus stops nearby, including one right in front of the hotel. It may depend on the room, but the room I stayed in had a refrigerator and microwave, which was convenient. On the other hand, it may have been renovated during the pandemic, but it was inconvenient that there was no closet, although there was a washbasin right after entering the room. Note that room cleaning is not done unless requested. I thought it was just a change of bed linen, but it does not include changing towels or disposing of trash in the in-room trash cans. Breakfast is free, but it is limited to bagels, cheese burritos, oatmeal, waffles, one type of fruit, coffee and other beverages (including non-100% juice) and boiled eggs. I guess it depends on the time of year. It is filling enough, but don't expect too much.

Good for a 2-star hotel. Not the cleanest, but they do offer to freshen up your room every day. Breakfast is good if you can get to it. The breakfast room is very small and usually full of people. Location is decent as its near several bus stops and the original farmer's market. Centrally located in LA and in a generally safe area. Good value for what we needed it for (a place to sleep and have breakfast).

The hotel reminded of a European style hotel. It was small, comfortable with few frills but above average in quality for the price that we paid. The continental breakfast, though limited, had a good selection that included breakfast burritos, hard boiled eggs, waffles and fresh fruit. The room was small, but had everything that we needed, specifically a refrigerator and microwave. When compared to other affordable hotels in the area, SureStay gets high marks for its overall quality and great location, close to the Farmers Market, the Grove and several excellent restaurants. I should add that they have an elevator, which was a big plus for my wife.

Property is clean but smell is bad. Breakfast is complimentary I understand but it wasn’t good.. Couldn’t drink the coffee at all. Staff was good.

Toilet flush did not work properly. Electrical outlet to charge are poor quality. Breakfast limited and run out of stock. Window wood blinds are broken..Parking Garage- drainage lines leaking from ceilings.

I loved the location. I didn’t like the room as much. The room was small and had a weird smell to it. There was no blackout curtains. When we went down to breakfast I saw an employee refill the orange juice. Half was water and the other half was orange juice. It was not an orange juice concentrate.

The staff were all wonderful, responsive and kind - I can't stress that point enough. The room was clean. But the only bottled water "available" was from a completely empty vending machine. And the "breakfast" of plastic-packaged sweet rolls and Hostess donuts, and other absolutely awful coffee from a terrible machine was beyond disappointing. There are *so many* really good bakeries nearby - why couldn't they have things delivered FRESH each morning?! And for heavens sake, get a decent coffee maker!! Those are some basic, not expensive gestures that would go a very long way. I will never stay there again, and I will recommend that my family who live in town never suggest this place for any future visitors.
