We really enjoyed our stay. Would absolutely stay here again. The only con is something easily remedied. The live music was too loud when we arrived. Could hardly hear the front desk person as we were checking in. Although the ambiance of having music was very nice, for weary travellers, the volume was too much. It would have been much nicer if it was simply acoustic and the mic level turned down. Otherwise this was a fantastic stay.

We booked this place last minute- really 10 mins before we arrived. Checking was flawless. Thomas was amazing, very warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool provided a great swim after a long travel day! Highly recommended!

I stayed here for the Ironman 70.3 event in town. It was very convenient. The property was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. My only complaint is that the elevator was the worlds slowest elevator. Otherwise, I would certainly stay here again!

The person who checked us in Thomas was very nice and hospitable. The room was clean, the outdoor pool was clean and heated and the breakfast was plentiful. We only stayed one night, would definitely stay again. Tons of construction in Augusta, not super close to waterfront but convenient to get right on 95.

The hotel is in need of renovation. The rooms are small and smell bad. The bathroom had hair in the bathtub and on the floor. The staff is really nice but the hotel is not.

Thomas was amazing/excellent and a prized member of your team, he was a pleasure to deal with on both nights I stayed with you he should be rewarded for his AMAZINGNESS!!!! He even attempted to defuse the situation after I was unfortunately woken up by another concerned member of your staff at 5:30am because they were concerned about a low temperature alarm going off in my room. Sadly I had turned the temperature down intentionally because I like to sleep in a cool room, I wish the staff member had waited till a more appropriate time to call. I can appreciate Wholey your concern for frozen pipes but another hour or two would have been appreciated!! I did not get to experience the breakfast because my day started before 6:30.

Nice looking hotel, everything was clean. The breakfast buffet was good: cereals, eggs, bacon/sausage, juices, tea and of course coffee. When I arrived their computer had just crashed so there was a short delay in checking in, but it was taken care of in about five minutes. The wi-fi in the room was good, I had little use for the television as I had my laptop. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I would recommend this venue for short stays (3 nights or fewer).

Front desk clerk was great. Room is adequate. Would be nice if more electrical outlets,not just on lamps. No place to plug in the Keurig unit unless moved to other side of desk area. Small bathroom. Fine accommodations for one night. Convenient to expressway and cute towns

Receptionist on arrival was very helpful and friendly. Slight problem that one of the rooms allocated to us hadn’t been cleaned or made up but soon rectified. The rooms had a window facing out onto the walkway serving the other rooms. As such for privacy you invariably closed the curtains but the rooms were rather dark. No hot water during our stay due to a plumbing fault which was being repaired as we left. Staff were generally very helpful and friendly but with the rooms looking a bit dated it wasn’t a great stay.

The lower rooms are small and show more use, ask for a 3rd floor room (there’s an elevator) and you won’t be disappointed. Excellent place to stay!! Really good breakfast!!

Highly recommended! A beautiful, cozy hotel for our trip from Portland airport headed to Bar Harbor. Beds were very comfy. Very spacious bathroom, very clean, beautiful artwork all over the walls, and a wonderful buffet and coffee bar!

This is an older motel that has been modernized. The staff were outstanding, and very personable. The breakfast was very good, well above the average motel fare. The rooms were a bit small by comparison. We found ourselves turning on all the available lights to achieve a level of brightness we were comfortable with. Also, the room did not seem to be well insulated from outside noise In short, this is a well run and managed motel that is handicapped with some earlier generation features.

The room was just feet away from the highway. And as I was unaware that this was a “motel” did not realize how loud it would be. Had I known, I’d have likely booked another property. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay at your lovely hotel. The best part of the experience was your front desk professional, Thomas. He was warm and welcoming and made me feel like he was receiving me into his home. He was very thorough, professional, and prompt. You have a keeper there! When we checked out the next morning, we were promptly and warmly greeted by your other staff. I was very impressed with your wonderful staff!!!! The room was beautiful and comfortable and it had everything we needed! I loved the location of the hotel too. Lots of dining and shopping close by. I would stay at your hotel again!

I was really disappointed upon arriving at what should really be called a motel. The property looks much nicer in their pictures. There was karaoke in the bar which was incredibly loud. The bar is next to reception so it made it difficult to check in. I did the pre-registration but was still asked for all the information. There was only one person working so it took a long time to check in. The rooms were small and all doors opened to the exterior which I was very uncomfortable with. The “hotel” is charging as much as we are paying to stay in the city of Boston. Very disappointed in the stay for the amount of money they charged.

Great hotel complete with everything comfortable and extra clean great attention to détail and outstanding customer service, good breakfast and convenient location definitely the best hotel in Augusta. Thank you for making out stay great. Staff went out of their way to take us to a rental car company since no Uber were available.

Unique are the owners and the staff. The owners work along side of the friendly hard working staff. The Maine Evergreen Hotel is filled with great friendly and helpful staff and owners.The hotel is very clean and the service is outstanding. The best place to stay in the area. Give it a try and I’m confident you’ll be glad you did.

This is a nice place and it is clean and well done. The breakfast was good too. The only issue is that it is not entirely indoors. It is more like a motel with the doors on an exterior balcony. I am really not a fan of this as people walking down the "hall" are walking past your window. It could also be an issue in bad weather or if you need another escape route. On the plus side, it was right off the highway and there is a Hannaford's grocery right next door.

Welcoming staff, great rooms at a great price, different tiers of rooms (the “deluxe” ones have indoor/hallway entrances while the regular ones have outdoor entrances). I have stayed twice in a regular room and it has been quiet, warm, comfy bed, and great filtered water tap in the rooms. They have a lovely breakfast room/bar, and they have almond milk as a breakfast option with granola for vegans such as myself. (No vegan food options on the evening menu however).

We were first greeted by Thomas at the front desk. He was welcoming and so friendly. It was refreshing. Our room was so clean and we loved the set up of the room. They offer a free breakfast which was excellent. Then our second night we experienced the bar and met Nicole and what a lovely bartender. She was great. We really loved the place. It was a great experience.
