Stayed one night for a concert at bp pulse . Hotel is right next to resorts world & venue ,friendly helpful staff .convenient parking (although £10) which is a bit cheeky imho .would stay here again .

Don't be caught out with expensive parking fees. Pay in the hotel not at the meter like we did costing us an extra £10, for the weekend. I think this should made clear on the booking site. Hotel spotless, great food plenty of choice for breakfast, helpful staff, seating area nice and spacious.

You get to the hotel and for the parking right next to it you have to load an App and prepay. £15 - not cheap but at an exhibition centre you expect it. What you don’t expect is a hotel where the “day” you have paid for expires at midnight and you get a £60 “fine for overstaying “ as you leave the following morning. What hotel thinks you want to leave at midnight?. Of course the App doesn’t offer you the option of buying the extra day - no because they know they are going to fleece you with a parking fine. The hotel itself is obviously convenient for events at the arena, a reasonable comfortable chain hotel . But the scumbag parking scheme ruins the experience.

Service in bar/restaurant terrible. I waited 30 mins for a drink which I requested without ice but arrived with, another 20 mins later I realized others who had arrived after me were already eating so had to go to check on my food, a sales. When it finally arrived I had no cutlery..I went to the bar to pay as wasn't going to wait, no apology and I realized after that a top had been included on the bill.

Staff were spectacular during our stay. Nikki in the breakfast service was particularly excellent. She was personable and professional. It was clear she loves connecting with people and would remember us and others on return. We had an issue with our in room fridge which was fixed very promptly. The lobby, bar and restaurant areas are well maintained and clean. Unfortunately I would say the rooms are quite tired and need a good refresh, in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable and worn, the carpet felt dirty because it was so old even though it was clean. The shower in the bathroom also needs updated. This was disappointing as although we were there on a peak weekend, the price for the room was high given the shabbiness of some elements. Location is fantastic, couldn’t fault it. Close to resorts world and the NEC. Would stay here again but would hope the price reflected the state of the rooms better.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with plenty of space and a decent view. We managed to check in early but the man on reception seemed quite stressed and irritable. Whilst we were waiting in a queue he kept asking everyone that turned up if they were checking in or out. If they were checking out then he would serve them first. We were literally stood at the desk trying to check in but in the time he checked out 3 other people. I found this very rude as he just seemed to be rushing. I would not expect this from a front desk. If I was in a queue then once I had waited my turn I would expect to be served and only me. We paid for parking outside by scanning the signs which are dotted all over. Once at reception the man started to tell us something about parking then served someone else then finished what he was saying. Apparently if we had paid at reception it’s cheaper. The hotel is nice and I would stay again and recommend especially for the location.

Stay was great, Parked my car right out side the front of the hotel, i could see it from the check in desk. When i came down in the morning someone had stolen my tow bar! security not so good. Asked for the CCTV and was told only released to the police, no point calling the police as they only work for money these days. So my one night cost me an extra £250.00

This is a lovely hotel, with great staff. The only point id make is, please provide some signage for guests, so they dont pay full whack for parking prior to checking in where they receive a discount. This isnt made clear at point in the car park

Excellent weekend stay. All staff were incredibly friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. Reception organised free drink for mums birthday which was greatly appreciated at the end of a busy day. There was also plenty of parking and lovely breakfast.

The room I was given was very tired and shabby. Shower curtain ripped, settee greasy, stained, just awful. No fridge, furniture chipped, cushions on bed stained. This was honesty to worst room I’ve had in over 30 years! Breakfast was good but one coffee machine for 100s of people?

Property was ok, very dirty under the bed I realized when I dropped something. We had a few issues, air conditioning didn’t work, no toilet rolls and conditioner which they fixed when we asked. Convenient location and nice bar

Always an excellent stay, breakfast has a great choice whether you want healthy or a full English. Staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are looking a little tired with scuffed furniture and marks on the sofa. However the bathroom was clean with nice fluffy towels. Good shower. Overall a pleasant stay.

The location and Hotel was excellent, unfortunately the heating and air con in my room was not functioning and I woke up cold both nights. I reported this on the 1st night and although something was done it did not resolve the problem. The illuminating light did not work first night and although it was working 2nd night the heating and A/C still did not function

Check in was not good We were given a room with two single beds and only found out when we went to room. Requested a standard room as that’s what we had booked and told they was none. Then after making a fuss the guy found a room. Guy at reception didn’t seem bothered with what he is doing :

I had to call and make inquiries about my booking. Destiny was brilliant with my issue and was still working when I checked in. She also sorted an evening meal reservation for my party. The meal was excellent. Breakfast was great and the staff in the dining room brilliant. We will be staying again.

Staff were spectacular during our stay. Nikki in the breakfast service was particularly excellent. She was personable and professional. It was clear she loves connecting with people and would remember us and others on return. We had an issue with our in room fridge which was fixed very promptly. The lobby, bar and restaurant areas are well maintained and clean. Unfortunately I would say the rooms are quite tired and need a good refresh, in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable and worn, the carpet felt dirty because it was so old even though it was clean. The shower in the bathroom also needs updated. This was disappointing as although we were there on a peak weekend, the price for the room was high given the shabbiness of some elements. Location is fantastic, couldn’t fault it. Close to resorts world and the NEC. Would stay here again but would hope the price reflected the state of the rooms better.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with plenty of space and a decent view. We managed to check in early but the man on reception seemed quite stressed and irritable. Whilst we were waiting in a queue he kept asking everyone that turned up if they were checking in or out. If they were checking out then he would serve them first. We were literally stood at the desk trying to check in but in the time he checked out 3 other people. I found this very rude as he just seemed to be rushing. I would not expect this from a front desk. If I was in a queue then once I had waited my turn I would expect to be served and only me. We paid for parking outside by scanning the signs which are dotted all over. Once at reception the man started to tell us something about parking then served someone else then finished what he was saying. Apparently if we had paid at reception it’s cheaper. The hotel is nice and I would stay again and recommend especially for the location.

The stay was great from the moment we parked the car easily and walked into the lobby. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the rooms were comfortable (a good night's sleep). Crowne Plaza is next door to Resorts World and within walking distance of the NEC and Birmingham International.

Overall this is a great property conveniently located within walking distance of Resorts World and BP Pulse live. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The price I paid was quite cheap considering this is a Crown Plaza hotel in Birmingham. 5*.. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was amazing. Right by a beautiful lake and close to many restaurants and other shops and a cinema. Not far from Birmigham airport and Birmingham Intertrnaltional Train station. I had a lovely restful time at the hotel. Though I did several trips out to various locations in Birmingham Its was so nice to get back to the Crowne Plaza NEC.

Four of the same family attended for four days in November 2023. The Hotel did have a very high standard of cleaning in all areas of the Hotel. The staff were exceptional with excellent customer service and their clothing attire was above standard. Only disadvantage, the breakfast was not up to expected standards any of the four mornings, plates were just about warm, but all the food cold.

I had to call and make inquiries about my booking. Destiny was brilliant with my issue and was still working when I checked in. She also sorted an evening meal reservation for my party. The meal was excellent. Breakfast was great and the staff in the dining room brilliant. We will be staying again.

Always an excellent stay, breakfast has a great choice whether you want healthy or a full English. Staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are looking a little tired with scuffed furniture and marks on the sofa. However the bathroom was clean with nice fluffy towels. Good shower. Overall a pleasant stay.

This is the perfect place to stay if going to an event at Resorts World Arena. Everything is close by within walking distance including the train station (4min walk). The staff are fantastically friendly and helpful. Room is exactly what is needed with fridge and very comfortable beds. Buffet breakfast is good and has descent enough food and good selection of items. Water in the showers is a bit dangerous as without warning it turns very hot then back to the temp you had set. You could get scalded if your not careful as the shower valves are not pressure balanced. They really should do something about that. In room (instant) coffee, tea is good and the whole hotel is very clean and tidy. Black out blinds so you can sleep in and the room was vey quiet. Plenty of places to eat close by and shopping too if your so inclined. You can also get a selection of beer within easy walk or in the hotel bar. I would have liked to see a better selection of single malt scotch in the hotel bar though :) All in all a great experience and we would not hesitate to book here again if we were coming to another event at the arena and would recommend it to anyone looking for a very nice place to stay at a reasonable price.

Possibly the only thing I'd like to see improved is that the breakfast options for non-mainstream diets (vegan, gluten free) are a bit ordinary. You won't starve but there's nothing all that appealing either.

The communal areas around the bar and reception area was very sleek and modern but our room was very dated. Old fashioned furnishings showing signs of age. No mirror on dressing table which made it difficult to get hair/makeup done. We were woken very early by the cleaners room next door to our room suggest getting some sound proofing done. Bar didnt sell lemonade!

Staff excellent. Property is old. Rooms are in dire need of renovating. The sofa bed is not comfortable. The three of us (2A 1C) had to squeeze into the queen bed. When the sofa bed is folded into sofa - there is plenty of room inside the room itself. Bathroom is also old and in dire need of upgrade. Location - can’t be topped.
