Very very good location at the main square. Easy to find, friendly staff. I really like this place. Youre close to everything. AC and bathroom ok. The bed wasnt the best. No elevator and narrow satirs. Small breakfast included.

Es gab kein Aufzug, 65 Stufen in den dritten Stock mit Koffern. Es gab keine Parkplätze obwohl diese beworben wurden. Es gab keinen Frühstücksraum obwohl dieser beworben wurde. Das Frühstück gab es in einer Kaffeebar auf dem Platz. Ein Getränk und ein Kaffeestück waren das erweiterte regionale Frühstück. Der Föhn im Zimmer war defekt; die Dusche war nur für schlanke Menschen begehbar die einen BMI von unter 25 haben. Die Zudecken waren teilweise mit Flecken, zerrissen und sehr alt. Positiv waren die Lage, die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die funktionierende Klimaanlage.

Easy check-in, great location in Piazza Duomo, yummy restaurants nearby and attractions within a 20 min walk. My single room had toiletries, towels, breakfast included w/choice of regular or sicilian breakfast 7-10am, lobby always open and very nice desk clerk, guests allowed leaving passport (pick it up on way out), have to leave key in lobby when going out, pick it up on your way to your room (IMO a good safety practice). The public beach is a bit dangerous to get to by foot. Kinda chilly at night (February), maybe need an extra blanket. I recommend this hotel.

The hotel is at the best possible location, directly at the Duomo square. As a budget hotel, it meets the typical Italian standards, the room is dated but clean, the bathroom was updated and modern but the shower was very small. There is no elevator but that suits me fine since elevators in buildings like these tend to be clunky, so I avoid them in any case. Breakfast was a voucher to get a hot drink and pastry at the best cafe in the square, which is my favorite way of doing breakfast in Italy, so this worked out great.

Es gibt keinen Aufzug im Hotel !! Das Personal war leider nicht sehr freundlich. Wir hatten das Gefühl eine Belastung für sie zu seien und nicht erwünschte Gäste. Das Hotel liegt Zentral und ist gut mit Öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist nicht im Hotel, sondern in einem Lokal gegenüber.

Die Lage ist unschlagbar direkt im Herzen der Stadt. Die Zimmer bieten einen tollen Ausblick auf den Dom. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer wirken etwas altmodisch sind aber sauber und praktisch.

Reception did not speak any form of English. We arrived by car, called ahead to get directions to the hotel parking lot (which we were informed they had) and they said something in Italien and hung up. They don’t have any parking spots. We slept directly on the springs in the madras, the floor was more comfortable. There was mould in the bathroom, the inventory was crappy and looked like it was about to fall apart. A bad hotel, way overpriced.

This hotel met my needs exactly. I am a man traveling alone. I wanted to be near the center of town, the Piazza. I wanted a simple room that was clean and had a low price. The hotel was all of these. They did not have breakfast. The staff was helpful. My needs were limited, but this hotel turned out to be a perfect choice.

Great location to be in Catania right on the piazza. Great view from our balcony it faced the Cathedral and the Elephant fountain on the piazza. Anyone who travels would like this hotel. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Their English skills were not strong but I didn't find the use of English to be strong in Catania in general; you are in a foreign country people. I enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Se cercate un albergo semplice, ma che offre tutto quello che vi occorre, l'hotel Centrale Europa è quello che fa per voi. Le camere, un po' old style, sono confortevoli e pulite, molte con un balcone che affaccia sulla piazza della Cattedrale di Catania. As a budget hotel, it meets the typical Italian standards, the room is dated but clean, the bathroom was updated and modern but the shower was very small. There is no elevator but that suits me fine since elevators in buildings like these tend to be clunky, so I avoid them in any case. Breakfast was a voucher to get a hot drink and pastry at the best cafe in the square, which is my favorite way of doing breakfast in Italy, so this worked out great.

Reception did not speak any form of English. We arrived by car, called ahead to get directions to the hotel parking lot (which we were informed they had) and they said something in Italien and hung up. They don’t have any parking spots. We slept directly on the springs in the madras, the floor was more comfortable. There was mould in the bathroom, the inventory was crappy and looked like it was about to fall apart. A bad hotel, way overpriced.

This hotel met my needs exactly. I am a man traveling alone. I wanted to be near the center of town, the Piazza. I wanted a simple room that was clean and had a low price. The hotel was all of these. Es gibt keinen Aufzug im Hotel !! Das Personal war leider nicht sehr freundlich. Wir hatten das Gefühl eine Belastung für sie zu seien und nicht erwünschte Gäste. Das Hotel liegt Zentral und ist gut mit Öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist nicht im Hotel, sondern in einem Lokal gegenüber.

Es gab kein Aufzug, 65 Stufen in den dritten Stock mit Koffern. Es gab keine Parkplätze obwohl diese beworben wurden. Es gab keinen Frühstücksraum obwohl dieser beworben wurde. Das Frühstück gab es in einer Kaffeebar auf dem Platz. Ein Getränk und ein Kaffeestück waren das erweiterte regionale Frühstück. Der Föhn im Zimmer war defekt; die Dusche war nur für schlanke Menschen begehbar die einen BMI von unter 25 haben. Die Zudecken waren teilweise mit Flecken, zerrissen und sehr alt. Positiv waren die Lage, die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die funktionierende Klimaanlage.

Perfekt beliggenhed til en dags tur. Morgenmad serveres på café på torvet, meget sparsomt med mulighed for at tilkøbe ekstra. Hjælpsom personale, flotte charmerende værelses indretning. Noget støj fra gaden må forventes.

Easy check-in, great location in Piazza Duomo, yummy restaurants nearby and attractions within a 20 min walk. My single room had toiletries, towels, breakfast included w/choice of regular or sicilian breakfast 7-10am, lobby always open and very nice desk clerk, guests allowed leaving passport (pick it up on way out), have to leave key in lobby when going out, pick it up on your way to your room (IMO a good safety practice). The public beach is a bit dangerous to get to by foot. Kinda chilly at night (February), maybe need an extra blanket. I recommend this hotel.

Es gibt keinen Aufzug im Hotel !! Das Personal war leider nicht sehr freundlich. Wir hatten das Gefühl eine Belastung für sie zu seien und nicht erwünschte Gäste. Awful stay. Aircon leaks like a dripping tap if you have it on. We had to put the bin under it to catch the water that ran down the door frame. At night the temperature display is so bright it lights up the room, if you turn it off the room smells stale. Pillows were like trying to sleep on a brick. Only saw one member of staff, at the front desk, and they were very unapproachable and unfriendly Nice location, central for everything but noisy late into the night with old windows/frames Traditional style room with lots of dark wood furniture Wouldn’t stay again, more like 2 star than 3 stars when compared to everything else we have stayed in across Italy & Sicily

Fantastic location right by the Duomo and Elephant Square. Hotel itself is slightly faded splendour but clean and comfy and staff were helpful. Bit of a drag having no lift and a room on the 3rd floor but staff carried our bags up for us.

The staff was very friendly even helped me out with my luggage since it was quite heavy. They didn’t speak English but it’s alright I used google translate so all was shorted out. My only issue is that it was advertised that my room would have a Duomo view and it didn’t which was a very unpleasant experience as I booked the place only because of that reason. Overall no issue!
