Motel 6 Lake City, FL – Medical Center

Booked a king was given a room with 2 full beds. When I called the front desk they told me they were overbooked and had nothing else available. The room was absolutely disgusting. Roaches on the bed, in the bathroom and all in the dresser drawers which were still filled with trash from where the from had not been properly cleaned. The iron was filled with roaches and the door was broken at the bottom. I couldn’t stay in the room and left, when brought to the attention of the front desk he could care less and was not apologetic at all. Will be reporting this hotel to DBPR along with all of the pictures taken of the room as the date of the last inspection on the room door show February of 2008.

Checked in, went to the room and immediately checked out and went somewhere else. Abounded cars in the parking lot people hanging around the stairs smoking. Weed smell in the hotel room beds were slanted doors don’t shut properly. I am good on all that

Let me start out by saying the staff were really nice. HOWEVER. This is one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever been to. It was filthy! There were baby cockroaches all over in the bathroom, mold on the shower floor, the room severely stunk, and the whole building was disgusting. It was so bad, I ended up getting a different hotel and the staff there said they have people coming from this Motel 6 all the time because it’s so bad. The new hotel also said that this Motel 6 is known for having bedbugs… so take that as you wish. The reviews of this hotel have to be paid l for. I have traveled through almost every US state, and 16 additional countries and I have never encountered a hotel as far from the reviews as that was.

Here is the honest truth I went on Google and left a Google review the next morning I have a dog I am like most Americans very concerned about my finances today and I pick my hotels based on price first I was shocked at this Motel 6 now it's outdated and old but it was immaculately clean and usually when I go into a bad hotel room with my dog my dog runs around and finds stuff to eat all over the place and she can't settle down cuz there's so many smells in the room my dog walked around the room couldn't find anything to eat settle down easy and went to sleep it was quiet clean close to the highway the least expensive place in the neighborhood and you know it's not in fancy hotel it's a cheap hotel but it was clean it was safe the gentleman at the front door was pleasant and greeted me with a smile and the room was clean it was clean and if I'm driving by with my dog and I need a place to stay around there I would go back in a second it was one of the better Motel 6 that I've stayed in and some of the other hotels in that neighborhood look pretty damn Shady so that's the honest truth you get what you pay for and in this place it was a good deal
