Hotel Murano is in a convenient location to explore Tacoma's downtown area. It does have a few amenities like a decent restaurant & a bar area. The building is in need of a little updating, in particular, the elevators - very slow with 1 of 3 out of service.

The hotel is renovated and they added some really nice artwork to give it a modern feeling. The rooms are comfortable but still have the refurbished feeling. We hoped that our room would have been cleaned and towels and coffee filled but this didn’t happen even after we returned a text asking if we needed anything. I also paid for parking and the info was entered in by the front desk incorrectly so I got a parking ticket. I was hoping to like this stay but it was not the best.

Check in was easy. Parking is very expensive. I didn't see that listed in the description. $28 for one night. The room is fine. Nothing special. Kind of old and dingy. Bed is nice and comfortable. The room was nice but very basic. The decor around the hotel was gorgeous!! The parking was not great, very small lot and a tight fit , and overflow was in an upper lot that was a little less safe feeling at night.

Our room was not clean. There was black specks on one bed and a stain on the other comforter. There was also stains along the counter tops / dressers. Unfortunately, the bathroom was also dirty. The bathtub had black inside of it.

Elevator repeatedly broken and staff seemed accustomed to working around building problems and downplaying inconsistencies and issues. Most of the staff is very friendly but that doesn’t make up for the expectation set up by their four star rating and advertising. As far as rooms go, I was extremely disappointed by the contrast between how the patron level room was presented and what it actually was. The room was dingy and stained. However, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the view was incredible.

Our curtains were shredded like a cat climbed up and ripped them apart The bathtub had been painted over and the paint was peeling Someone used the iron on the carpet and melted some of it Atmosphere therefore not pleasant / also had a musty smell - not sure if someone had been smoking in there

0 The sheets were not cleaned and had stains. We could not get anybody at the front desk to answer. Ever!!! Thank goodness I brought I brought extra blanket. There was blood on the back of the bathroom door. There was some sort of water leak at some point by the window. With a whole bunch of paint peeling off the ceiling that's falling onto the window sill. This room was not clean. And I'm so disappointed that I could not get anybody at the front desk to assist last night. I will never stay at this establishment again. Also want to mention when I was in line checking out. Several customers had similar complaints as well. Oh, and don't get me started on the “free” breakfast that was already ran through by 7 AM and it was completely filthy in there. Your hotel is supposed to be a high-end hotel. I would like this message passed on to the manager over the whole hotel. This completely ruined mine and my husband’s New Year’s and anniversary.

At one time this was a nice hotel. Now it’s showing signs of neglect. While clean, the furniture has dings and closets have screws coming loose. The carpets are getting worn. Top it off only 2/3 elevators were working which was a disaster mid morning that resulted in waiting for 3-7 elevators full to pass before you could get on one. That said, it’s clean, comfortable and quiet. The glass decor is beautiful and interesting.

We were originally checked into a room that smelled of cigarette/weed. We asked for a different room and the new room seemed like a downgrade. It was smaller and didn’t have an additional chaise/sitting area and the view wasn’t as nice. Saturday morning there was no hot water. Saturday evening you could hear people arguing on the street (poor soundproofing) and at 2am our neighbours came back and were extremely loud. This is not the hotels fault and to their credit, they sent someone relatively quickly to deal with it. I don’t think I’d stay here again.

Seemed like an older hotel where all the money was spent on the lobby and hallways. I booked a corner King with mountain view but I was given a 12th floor room and could only see the city and some of the water(not even a hint of mountain). Rooms were not that comfy and had a few too many maintenance issues. No major issues, but enough to know that they are not addressed (sink stopper, soap dispensers falling off the wall, lights not working, microwave etc). Over a 3 night stay, neither of us slept a full night here due to street noise. Windows are not thick or well insulated so you can hear very well whenever someone in Tacoma is revving their engine and it seemed like every night someone is doing doughnuts in a nearby parking lot. Parking was $28/night and requires you to walk around to the front door to get in. Your parking spot is not reserved so you might come back and find that you have to park in a different parking lot a level higher and carry your bags down stairs and around the building. Breakfast is not included, but was pretty good and is priced appropriately for a hotel restaurant.

Not once in the three days and two nights we were there did housekeeping check to see if we needed anything or wanted our room clean, toilet was too far to the ground. I am in a wheelchair and had a very hard time getting back into my chair. Definitely was not a wheelchair accessible room the bathroom sink is clogged. The entire time has soapy, nasty water falling onto us had a very hard time getting around the room. That bed my lumpy could not wait to get back home and into my bed. No internet access also, my son had to sleep on the floor and we were not given anything extra as far as pillows or blankets will not stay at this property again.

Great hotel with good location. Unfortunately, the man behind the bar on our stay tried to overcharge and when it was politely pointed out he said °Go f""k yourself° loud enough for us all to hear. As a consequence of this we will not be staying again. This is a shame as we have been a couple of times and due to family living close we had planned on going again.

I will never book another night at your hotel again after the terrible customer service provided by the manager, Anna, and her front desk staff. I book many rooms at your hotel every year, including last night for Mr Sachin Joshi. I extended his stay until tomorrow, but your staff, on Anna's instructions, refused to let him back into the room because, despite being told by someone at the front desk that I could fill it in when I returned to my office in two hours, I had not yet filled in the credit card authorization form. Keep in mind that he had provided a card for the previous room.

The room was clean and comfy. The restaurant service was excellent. Our server Angela at Bite was friendly and made us feel welcome. I also liked the hotel’s eco-friendly idea of offering vouchers for skipping housekeeping. However, the front desk has room for improvement. Before arrival, my flight was delayed and when I called about a late check-in, one staff member was unhelpful and the team wasn’t on the same page about the policy. There were also a few small issues during the stay such as a leaky sink and a microwave that did not work, plus some trouble switching my payment card at checkout. Some staff were great, but I wish there had been more flexibility and clearer communication overall.

We were charged $28 for parking, and while parking and unloading we had to literally fight off a homeless person. Cops were called and police report made, luckily none of us were injured. Just a ripped shirt. Once we made it into the hotel everything was okay, other than the worrying whether or not our truck would be vandalized. In retaliation for calling the police.

Room was okay, not what I expected from a 4 star hotel- minor cleanliness issues and listened to a crosswalk or alarm beep all night while on the 19th floor. Half the elevators had hand written signs that said the panel doesn’t work. Had to pay $28 for parking in the lot a five minute walk from the front doors. Staff (except the gentleman that checked me out) left something to be desired with their attention or care. None were rude but they were not friendly either. Waitress at the restaurant forgot my dessert on my to go order and acted like I was inconveniencing her when I came back down stairs to get it- I was polite. I spent over $40 on dinner that was bland- nothing good was the crab chowder and dessert.
