The Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott was our favourite stop. The Resort has a million and one things to do. I’m not sure we even saw everything during our short stay. We arrived earlier than check in and were given keys to the hospitality rooms which was a huge convenience. There are several pools (and water slides) so my kids loved it. We enjoyed a few of their restaurants which we were easy and reasonable in price. The games room was a hit! It was a great stay!

Not sure why you would have pool deck maintenance work in high season. Pool was closed for 3 days. My 13 yo daughter didn’t have any other pool choices, 2 pools only allow people older than 18. One pool is for little kids, sallow. So only option for her and others was one crowed pool. Plus there was construction noise then. Other construction area on front of our window. Started loud construction at 8am!!! Not ideal for a vacation resort.

The property and pools were amazing. Pool service was wonderful at both of the pools we used (there were at least 3 pools). We dined at the Kapa Pool Grill and enjoyed the mahi-mahi while watching the sun set. The gym was first class. There is an on-site Lauau that we have gone to several times and highly recommend. The resort is a bit pricy and I was surprised by amount of the daily resort fee of about $140 a day and parking of about $50 a day. I suppose I didn’t read the fine print in Hotels.com. The only issue with the room was that the clock wasn’t risible while in bed. The cord was too short causing the clock to face away from the bed. I couldn’t unplug it to move it to another location because it was plugged in under the head of the bed. While the clock was a little annoying, we really enjoyed our time at the Marriott.

Super nice hotel with excellent pool/slide for kids. Near food and shopping—all a quick walk. Only criticism is hefty daily charge to self-park. Expensive but worth it considering competitors. Would highly recommend and would return!

Overall, a really nice stay. They need to deal with the folks who stake out the pool area and “self-reserve” front row seats at the adult pool. I watched each morning as a couple came from some place away from the pool to “hold” their places. They need to have a policy of no holding. I watched as many couples were frustrated by not being able to enjoy the pool because of these inconsiderate guests who looked as though the paid for cheaper rooms but gained the benefit of the ocean view rooms.

Beautiful property and amazing amenities. The beach situation is undesirable if you like to sit in a chair. The guy shows up late every single day, the line takes forever to get a chair and it's super crowded, on top of each other. Minimal space between beach areas of two other hotels. Avoid this and just put your towel on the sand, away from the chairs for a much better experience.

WBR is a huge property w a beautiful open lobby and common grass spaces, including next to ocean on public walking path. We stayed in a premium ocean view in Halle 7, near ocean. Try for a Halle, not the tower which is very tall, closer to lobby. Sun deck rooms are very sunny; not sure worth $. Very little shade at either pool; they closed pool umbrellas in early pm due to winds. The bar and grill/pool food was very good.

Amazing resort with a great kids adventure pool. Very clean rooms with good dining options including some seasonal food trucks. Shops at wailea is closeby (walkable) with good food options. Great adult pools and amazing access to 2 beaches. Will stay again for sure.

Property has a very nice view, very good food and drinks but I would say it’s not worth it for the price. The food and drinks are over priced. We paid more for our room for the view but it was lacking cleanliness. Our washroom toilet was soiled with feces on it and the shower was not clean. I was the first one to use the shower and I saw that the shower curtain had red and yellow stains all over it and the floor was yellow. Our room was dusty. The table stand had dried up stains as well so we had to use the alcohol wipes we bought to reclean the surfaces. On the first day, we left our room with our clothes and other belongings on our bed and when we came back our clothes and belongings were on the dirty room couch with our beds made. Everything else was restocked which we appreciated but I was not aware that housekeeping would be touching the guests belongings. The following day we needed towels so I went up to a housekeeper that was cleaning a room and she was moving around some of the furniture in the room and cleaning up with gloves on. When I asked for towels she used the same soiled gloves from the guests room to give me clean towels. My sister and I also noticed that the bed duvet in not fully covered with a sheet. It is exposed and we saw that the duvet was soiled with stains on it. They were many red and yellow stains so we slept with our jackets on instead. The indoors and outdoor furniture was also very soiled with stains on it so we did not sit on those either.

The place is beautiful, however had some serious reservations with the cleanliness of the place. We found bugs (cockroach) in our bed. We immediately started to wrap up and checkout. The couch in the room was worn out. It was almost kinda broken. To be true, not a place I’d recommend if you want a quiet comfortable place. The room was noisy, every time someone walked through the alley, the noise could be heard in the room.

Our stay was spoiled by the loud, obnoxious afternoon disc jockey music from the pool. We had an ocean view and deck, but could not use it because of the loud music. Not even Christmas music, but rap type music. My husband went to the pool to ask the man to turn the sound down, just a little, but he was rude and did not change it. Three times we had to ask for towels. We either had too many hand towels and no face clothes. Or too many face clothes and not hand towels!! The food was average at best.

This property is in a great location convenient to the beach and premium shopping. The pools are really nice, including a beautiful adult infinity pool and a fun children's pool with slides. On the other hand, everything on this property, including self parking is an extra charge ($40 per day). Drinks by the pool and food on property is really expensive, similar to the Four Seasons which is nearby and also very expensive. The views from this hotel are wonderful. The front desk is ok, not Ritz Carlton great. We stayed for 8 nights (family of 4) and we had problems with housekeeping 3 out of our 8 days, including 2 days in which they showed up almost at 5 pm after we returned from day out, and 1 day in which they did not show up at all until we called at 10 pm. Considering that we paid over $1,000 per night for our 450 square foot room and expected regular room cleaning and towel service, this was disappointing. I handled 2 of the episodes with housekeeping directly, and they responded fairly rapidly. On the 3rd episode, when we were gone all day from 630 am until 10 pm (Road to Hana) with no service, I asked the front desk to help- and their first reaction was to accuse us of "you must have left a do not disturb sign on the door." This was outrageous because it was completely false, and it was the 3rd day with poor service. Rule #1: Customer is always right. I would check alternative options next visit to Maui.

Our overall experience at the Wailea Beach Resort was excellent! We found our room to be clean, spacious and comfortable; ours was an oceanfront room and had a great view looking west where we could see incredible sunsets from our balcony! The hotel offers a luau that felt very authentic (the master of ceremonies and the performers seemed to take their roles with sincere care and respect, yet they definitely looked like they were having fun, which helped all in attendance enjoy the show more!). Food at the luau and restaurants at the hotel was excellent. Being at the southwestern most side of the island, the surrounding area was very quiet and pleasant, with lots of small restaurants and shops to explore. The beaches around the resort were very nice to bath in. Hotel was about 25 min drive from the airport, so not too bad. We recommend the Wailea Beach Resort for anyone staying in Maui!

The pros are the hotel has great facilities for families, they have some really good slides for the kids, an arcade room, a Starbucks nearby and also car rental. There are two restaurants onsite and a few others within proximity. I also like the lobby area where they have a couple of tree swings, chess and some activities for the kids. That said, in terms of value, the room does not justify it. The bed was creaking, toilet is really small (you can’t even open the the door fully without swiping the mat on the floor), hot water not working well for the 2 nights we stayed in, temperature of the room can’t go below 20.5. And when the engineer attended the property, he couldn’t help with the issue and didn’t take off his shoes when he came in. Housekeeping did a good job in tidying up the room, unfortunately they only picked up the phone once out of the 4 times we called. All in all, for I felt the rooms definitely need a freshen up to charge the price.

The property is beautiful, however the elevators weren’t working 4 days out of the 7 days we stayed there. The bathroom in the room was very small. And the lights for the bathroom weren’t in the bathroom. You have to go to the door and turn them on from there. These are my only complaints. Other than that it was great.

This was an outstanding property in every way. I will definitely return with my family. My one suggestion is if you prefer privacy do not stay in a ground floor room. The walkways are very busy.

This place is nice, but all the unexpected fees charged at the end of our stay makes it less. Also, our room was located right above where there was a constant parade of delivery trucks. NOISY! Always waking us up very early in the morning, and made it less enjoyable here. I’ll go somewhere else next time.

Hotel was Amazing!! Pools are Gorgeous! We especially loved the Infinity pool!! Our ocean view room with a balcony was beautiful! Hotel is expensive but as the saying goes You get what you pay for!! We really enjoyed our time here!!

Staff are miserable. Their accounting system had an issue with my card (which had been used at the spa successfully) and threatened to evict my family at 10 pm that night immediately. Had to borrow a family members card that did work with their system to stay. They like to make their system problems your problem. This place is past their prime. Everything closes early, staffed are stretched and don’t care. Pick a better place next door

Our view was amazing, you can’t beat the atmosphere at Wailea Beach! The restaurants have some delicious items, but it’s the property and staff that make the experience. So beautiful and friendly, everyone is helpful and our expectations far exceeded other stays. We will absolutely return! It was so easy to take a shuttle, walk to the market and mall and enjoy coffee in the morning and (cheaply) Uber to South Maui Gardens for amazing food carts and garden areas. The kids loved the pools and felt safe wandering around, which was very nice for us parents. The LUA was the best too. 12/10 :)

We loved the swings, play room, slides and convenience store. Did not like the app which sent us walking all the way around the property to get from one kids pool to other. Also did not like the wrist band keys or the card keys as neither of them worked to get into the rooms on multiple occasions and to get out of the parking. Pretty annoying. We had 3 sets of cards and wrist bands. Only one worked. Had to consult check in which recoded keys but still didn’t work. So it was a pain. Also the bar and waitress area were not friendly.

There was a couple instances by the pool that was right next to the bar area when me and my husband were completely ignored and the female server approached others that arrived after us to take there order who were sitting right in front of us. She was not very friendly. The gentleman that waited on us by the other infinity pool the previous days was very friendly and very attentive.

The front desk and concierge team is extremely unfriendly and unaccommodating which ruins the overall experience at a so called 4.5 star hotel. We had no issues with booking our tee time with one of the concierge on the first day the nice lady even said "you should book through us because you get an incentive as a Marriot Guests however, when we tried to do so today the other lady who helped us was extremely reluctant and said with an attitude "we are not associated with the course but we can help you if you want". We also had an incident with the self serve laundry where another guest took our wet clothes out of the dryer to dry their own and we only had an hour left to check out. We asked for a later checkout given the situation and they offered 30 mins... we then headed to the front desk to see what we could do about our wet clothes and the lady was not empathetic at all and said "well what do you want us to do about it". Will never stay at another Marriot and will not recommend this resort to anyone.

Loved the pools and dining options however they were understaffed at the restaurants so we had to wait for a long time for drinks, food and our check with two sleepy babies. Our room was also kind of far from the lobby, again with two kids not easy to navigate with stroller and beach bags but we made it work just lots of walking.

Our first time at the resort. We had some hiccups during our stay but the resort staff were quick to handle the issues (our room wasn’t ready even though we requested early check in, our air conditioner stopped working, and we had a very squeaky bathroom door & screen door that needed WD40) We weren’t used to everything shutting down at 8p, but I guess that’s island life. Our flight was delayed several hours and unfortunately we were unable to do late check out because our room was already reserved but they have a wonderful waiting lounge with showers and lockers, tv, air conditioning and sitting area. Overall we did enjoy our stay and would recommend to anyone.

All of the staff were very helpful and my overall experience was great. Special shoutout to Ron at the adventure sports kiosk and Mario who provided great service while we were at the pool. Parking is easy if use the valet parking. Parking spots are very small in the self parking area. Shopping is close and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Our ocean room view was great in February. We could see the whales from our room. Overall stay was great.

Have stayed at other resorts in Weilea in the past. This one really suprised me. Great sprawling resort for families and couples a like! Same access to the beachfront walk. Really convenient walk to Weilea shops. This pace has it all! Will stay there again.

The location of this property is excellent, right next to the wailea shops including a market for essentials. This resort includes many amenities for kids (water slides, gameroom, movie theater, etc.). as well as very nice infinity pools, adult pools, kid pools, etc. I highly recommend getting an ocean view room, as it's more spacious and renovated. A special THANK YOU to JUDY, who was so lovely and helpful when checking us in! Highly recommend staying here especially if you have kids!

Just what I was looking for! I’m a teacher who also just finished teaching summer school so I was looking for a quieter property that was not a kid magnet and the adult pool area provided just that! Room category paid for was partial ocean but got a beautiful ocean view! We were 3 rooms away from oceanfront. Check in was easy. Blue bracelets are way better than key cards. Plenty of pool chairs. No need to wake early to save chairs. I liked that beach wasn’t directly in front of property- made it less crowded. Beach just a short, easy, less than 5 minute walk to the left to the beautiful Wailea beach or 5 minutes to the right to smaller Ulua Beach. Best snorkeling ever at Ulua Beach. Saw hundreds of fish. Rent snorkeling equipment right on property for reasonable rate. We loved our time here. No more Grand Wailea for us. Definitely coming back here to Marriott Wailea Beach Resort.

Very nice view and walking distance for snorkeling. No need to take any boat. The turtles and fish are just in front of the hotel.

The property was really nice and peaceful, with plenty of great pools and excellent service. The only downside was that the restaurant closed at 9 p.m., and there was no room service available. Good small shopping place 3 min walk from the hotel too

It’s great for families but eating onsite is difficult and expensive . You need reservation even for breakfast otherwise prepare to wait for 30 min. Restaurant is understaffed

The hotel was beautiful. We loved the serenity pool for adults. The game room, and the things to play on the little open lawn near the lobby was a lot of fun. We also enjoyed walking over to the other hotel next to Wailea. The food at the resort was good, except for the Grill. It’s the café in the hotel. The food was not great there, but the food delivered to the adult pool and the servers who delivered it were wonderful.

Broken shower in room. Broken bedside outlet/charge plug. Swing on patio useless. Poolside chairs need replacing. Some of the staff need attitude adjustments. All in all not a great experience for more than $1K per night. Am super disappointed and likely will not be staying there again:(

We had a wonderful time and our room was perfect. Close to the adults only pool and beautiful. Restaurants were delicious and a good variety of good. Walkable to the shopping center.
