The hotel was clean and inviting. Check in at front desk was good, friendly and quickly handled. However, I wish they had told me about the ice machine. Only one was available on ist floor only. Room big and clean, handicapped room was just what we needed. Overall we would definitely return.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and kind in all regards - great staff! But for the shockingly high price, the amenities were very basic, and the breakfast was fairly third rate. Also, the pool was pretty leaf-filled.

Bathroom had hair mopped in the corners of the floor and in the shower, sheer curtains were quite dirty with what appeared to be clumps of boogers on them. Standing water in the swale outside the window was blue green in color.

Dirty! The sheets had blood stains on them and a pillow had snot on it. We were moved to another room because the front desk man said he had no help working to get us new sheets. The new room also had blood stains on the comforter. Disappointing stay!

Overall the stay was not bad. Breakfast was good. There was a musty, moldy smell in the hallways and in our room. There were moisture absorbing boxes in the hallways and in the closet of our room, so they are aware of a moisture problem. I have allergies to molds and it gave me problems. I should have checked out after the first night, but we stayed for two. When we came back two days later, we stayed at another hotel.

Affordable and very clean, and nice staff, however, our room had a strong musty smell and the bathroom definitely was showing signs of age, broken tiling and the tub/shower, while clean, seemed like it should be replaced. We couldn't switch rooms because it was sold out.

Front desk lady was very nice. The hotel gave us a free gator bag since our daughter was moving in as a freshman. Food was good. The only bad part was that The room smelt like mold and the carpet was damp.

Do not stay here. I do not normally take the time to leave a review, but I feel like I need to pass along the information. The carpet in the room was covered in dirt and hair; the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling; the shower floor was dirty with black feet marks; there was DampRids all around the property to try and get rid of the overwhelming musty smell. The list could goes on; but, my advice would be to just go ahead and spend the extra $20 and get a decent place to stay. This place was absolutely terrible.

Always have stayed here for cleaniness and price but they decided to put a high school band mixed in to the floor with adults and the slamming of doors and carrying on went to all hours and started before the sun was up..will NOT stay again

Staff were friendly. Easy check in experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Air conditioning works excellent! Plenty of channels to watch on the tv. Plenty of usb and outlets next to the bed to charge phones, ect…. Only negative which really isn’t is the water pressure in the shower, but we have excellent water pressure in our shower at home that most places wouldn’t have.

Clean, quiet, comfortable. A very nice welcome when checking in with free cookies and popcorn. We were able to walk to wide selection of restaurants. Only negative was there was no ceiling fan in the bathroom.

Although there was nothing unique about the property, I liked how accommodating the staff was. The linens were clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the wi fi was easy to connect to. If there was anything I didn't like, it would be that there was some stains on one of the chairs in the room. The other would be that there was a wear spot on the carpet near one of the beds. Very minor, but you asked. LOL Nothing fancy but it served its purpose, would stay there again in the future.

The hotel is in need of upgrades. The carpet was old in the room. It seems the ac system was replaced, but the old thermostat remains on the wall. The mirror looked old and needed to be replaced. The room was clean, but it didn’t entirely meet my expectations.

Stayed here to be close to Shands. Specifically told front desk needed room especially bathroom clean on Wed as I had surgery on Tues. was reminded by husband again We’d morning, when we returned from hospital about 3:00pm room hadn’t been touches! Needless to say Not Happy!

Enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel was in a great location. Walking distance from shopping centers, restaurants and convenient stores when you walk in you receive a warm greeting quick and easy check-in plus they offer coffee all day popcorn cookies for the children. My hotel room was very clean. The air-conditioning worked very well I would recommend this location.

This is an affordable hotel, just off 1-75, offering a decent hot breakfast and clean, comfortable room. There is excellent shopping and plentiful dining options nearby. Not fancy, but with an early week booking discount, we found it good value and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

If you are looking for luxurious accommodations—this is not it. But if you are looking for a clean, budget hotel in a great location with friendly staff, comfortable beds, every toiletry one would need, excellent included breakfast spread and all day popcorn, coffee and cookies—then there is no better choice in Gainesville.

Bathroom sink was terribly clogged. Coffee was awful. It tasted like dishwater and I could not drink it. The only good thing about breakfast was the waffles which you could make yourself and were hot. The sausages snd the biscuits were cold. Eggs were warm. Overall bad breakfast. Check in staff was friendly. Room did not feel very clean especially after the clogged sink. Bathtub was rusty .

This hotel exceeded our expectations for a one-night stay. There were delicious freshly-baked cookies and popcorn available in the lobby. The breakfast was better than average, with several hot options and also many wrapped snacks like muffins and granola bars. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
