Fred and staff were great. We had to cancel the first night and Fred worked with us to book for the following dates. everyone was very friendly. location was perfect, right by the beach. very quite and safe. We had a small dog and hotel is pet friendly. Restaurant is very good, good prices, friendly staff. Thank you for everything we had a great experience.

The only thing that was positive was the location - right on the beach, far enough way from the honky tonk center - but could walk to it. We had stayed at the Friendship Inn before and loved the location, facilities, cleanliness, staff, etc. We weren't able to get a room there so booked the alouette big mistake would never stay there again. The pool was dirty filled with sand and water cloudy, the room smelled like BO, the building was ramshackled looking - porch and floor in room was very uneven, the stairs were worn, parking was difficult to get in and out of and to find a place near room, water in shower was often cold, there was no hair dryer, or closet to hand clothes - just 4 hooks on wall - bizarre. When I began to explain this to woman upon checkout she was very pleasant and informed me that I should have said something prior to check out - they could have found another room - I told her by the looks of property in general I wouldn't have bothered - would never stay there again

Advertised outdoor pool was not on-site but 2 properties over, was very small and dirty with small broken up patio area. Location of place was terrific, just steps away from beach, staff very nice at check-in. Room was very basic which was fine however the piece of cut-out carpet used as a mat near slider/entrance was a trip hazard. AC unit located near bed and was very loud. Bed was OK but not great. Overall for the price compared to others it was fine but will look for somewhere else next year

We had a great time at Alouette! It was our first ever time to Old Orchard and we did not know what to expect. It was so convenient to the beach, parking was easy, the onsite cafe was a great option for breakfast. We will definitely recommend to others and stay there again.

Exactly what you would expect from a motel in the area. For the price, it’s tough to beat. The few staff we encountered were all very helpful and pleasant, and the indoor heated pool is a huge plus on cooler days.

Stay was overall good. Location is very good. Parking is not so good if you stay at Wind Song. Please be aware that breakfast is not included in the stay. Breakfast is just ok. I don’t know how they got award for their breakfast!

The staff was friendly and very helpful. There is easy access to the ocean as well as on site areas to wash the ocean and sand off your feet. Indoor and outdoor pools gave great options for when you wanted to enjoy water out of the Ocean. Great all around experience. Highly recommend!

The room was clean and inviting. The queen bed seemed to be not as roomy as our queen bed at home, but we both slept well. The bathroom was quite small, but had everything we needed. Our oceanfront view was wonderful and we enjoyed a walk on the beach. The kitchenette was a real plus. The cafe on premises is great. Would stay there again.

The room we stayed in, WS10, had not been vacuumed. The noise level from the other guests were awful, we heard EVERYTHING. The stairs to get up to the room were uneven and loose and the decking and even the room had huge sloping aspects. Made you feel unsafe.

We paid for a beach view, but it was on the side of the building adjacent to the beach. The room looked clean, but wasn't clean if that makes sense. There were a few hairs on the bed. The water smelled musty. The neighbors sounded like crack heads. Overall, 2/10. It's a place to rest your head near the beach. However, the entire beach town is a ghost town. I don't foresee ever returning.

We ended up checking right out. The outer rooms with private access were not clean or updated. There was dog fur food and bugs under the stands on heater and corners. The bathroom was crazy, and the sliding door was broken along with the curtain. It was not a clean or homey feeling at all.

It’s a good budget hotel right on the beach. If they have a beach front view room available definitely take the upgrade and pay the difference. It’s 100% worth it! The shower stinks and bathroom is so small, the mattress isn’t the best, they need a spicket outside to clean your feet off, and they need garbage cans on the location. The garbage is all the way down the street which is a pain. Other than that it was a great stay and their breakfast is terrific. We’d return again!

Decided to take a quick trip to the beach and while this place was a little more than i wanted to pay for one night, it had the best reviews so i decided to go for it. I got an "upgrade" to a partial sea view room. The room was quite small but it was just myself and I only slept there. The best part about this property was the proximity to the beach and the wifi distance. It was very nice and relaxing to be able to get some work done and enjoy being on the beach at the same time. This place has spoiled me with it's proximity and I am thinking about returning before the summer ends. The A/C unit was very loud so I just left the balcony door open. Might have been an issue if it was very hot out.

Located right on the beach with parking in front of the units, pet friendly with a small kitchen. Rooms are very dated though. Smart TV so you can watch streaming channels. Bathroom very small. Reasonable prices so can't complain if you want easy access to the beach.

The location was beautiful but there was a mix-up with my reservation but the owner changed our room for the last 2 nights of our stay. The mattresses were very uncomfortable in both rooms and should be replaced. I found it difficult to control the temperature in the room as well. The bathroom design is awkward as the toilet is in the way of the shower. The floors were damaged, sink was cracked and it seems like they need to spend some time and money on repairs.

I would say to do the upgrade to the second floor with the balcony. The rooms on the bottom floor, the bathroom were no existing really. You could go in sit on the toilet and put your leg in the shower. No window and very dark. The sink was out in the room. The staff were all very nice and pleasant. Great convenience to the beach.

1. Room is dirty, it’s very old, bed sheets and cover looks like 10 years old. 2. Wi-Fi is just terrible, you won’t even make video call, it’s always dropping, speed sometimes 0.05 Mbs(not error). It’s shame to have so bad internet in 2025. 3. Walls. It’s solid concrete but you will hear every fart and cough of your neighbor. 4. Room is may be 50sqft, restroom 60ft not like stated “340sqft”. 5. There is no sauna like stated. I’m moving every week and changed may be 40 different hotels and never wrote reviews but this hotel was terrible.

Parking was great, room was clean, was going for a nice relaxing weekend away with the wife. Had a sitter for the weekend for our kids but the people renting the room next to use and above us ruined the whole weekend. The people upstairs sounded like they were going to come threw the ceiling and the people next to use were super loud. Slamming doors after 11pm and around 5am. Their smoke detector was going off at 530am. Not the quiet and relaxing weekend we were hoping for where we paid extra money at check in to upgrade our room.

Teeny tiny room with a terribly soft bed. Barely enough space for 2 people to move in. The shower soaked the entire bathroom floor…but then the bathroom was only about 10’ x 3-1/2’!

This is clearly an older property that has been propped up over the decades. By propped up, I mean only updated as absolutely needed. It’s very New England “beachy”. Good: The location is right next to the beach, shops, and everything else that the touristy part of Old Orchard Beach has to offer. The on-site restaurant is open from 7 AM to 10 AM for breakfast only. Check in was handled by a couple of very nice, patient ladies. Not good: The balcony felt old and problematic. The old carpeting on the balcony is truly disgusting. Old beer tops on the balcony railing, no table on the balcony, what looks like construction detritus in a corner inside the room (cut electrical cord from the air conditioner install?), an amazing amount of plugs packed into a power strip, but you have to bring your own power strip because you won’t have enough plugs for your devices. There wasn’t a good plug for the coffee maker! And no microwave at all. There WAS a refrigerator. Because the units face each other, I could hear some screeching drunk, middle-aged people right across the small parking lot alll evening. Noise echoes all over the buildings in the confined space. As nice as check-in was, at checkout I literally tripped over the owner’s dogs as I was coming in the door and almost fell. They’re cute doggies, but don’t belong in the hotel lobby. Overall, OK if you are looking for just the location.

We loved the view and quiet area, but the parking is definitely an issue! It’s a dead end street with very tight parking spaces on one side of the road. If you’re driving a pickup, like we do, the spaces take several maneuvers to wedge in and out of a spot. It’s still quite a hike to the Pier but thankfully the weather was very nice so walking wasn’t much of an issue.

The welcoming staff was very nice, informative about restaurants, explaining the properties (we were down the block at their other site). Having a coffee shop was a real plus (and they were nice, too). The air conditioner was awfully noisy (but we needed it, so could not just turn it off...). Good walking distance to the pier and town.

This was my first time at the Alouette. From the beginning of the booking they were friendly, welcoming and gracious. The front desk gave me an upgrade to a room with a view which I very much appreciated! I had a delicious omelette at their breakfast restaurant. A lovely, quiet resort right next to the beach with gorgeous ocean views. Loved it and I will be back!

It was a partial ocean view. A staircase was blocking some of the view. Beds were comfortable. The shower is a little small. Kitchen was nice and stocked. The refrigerator was a bigger size. It could hold a lot of food in the fridge and the freezer. The staff was great. The food at the cafe was delicious.

The room was large, comfortable, and clean. We stayed here in late January, so we didn't go to the beach, but it was right outside our back door giving us a beautiful view. The breakfast, which was included, was excellent. The restaurant is part of the complex and provides a regular breakfast menu, not a continental breakfast. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Definitely staying again when we visit loved the location, was in walking distance of pier n stores , staff was very nice, enjoyed the cafe, Claudette was our waitress she made sure we always had enough coffee n the food was great. Room was small but nice for two adults.
