Pool was closed in July? Didn’t look like it had been open recently. No automatic door? No shampoo in bathroom. Wierd shaped tub that you can't even easily sit up in, much less relax. Woke up with a bad pain in my neck. Location is not bad at all. Area is getting better and hotel is near good restaurants and shopping with easy access to the highway. Plenty of parking.

Area is just off I80 West Des Moines. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance or short distance. Customer service was good. Quick check in. Room was clean. Fairly roomy with queen bed. Only a mini fridge. No microwave. Microwave in main lobby with vending machines. Very reasonable for price at last minute. Was allowed early check in before 3pm. For one or two days, I would recommend it.

The person who checked me in was unfriendly and only smiled when I asked if they had any shampoo. "NO, no shampoo. NO shampoo" she said while smiling a huge smile and shaking her head no. Also the swimming pool was covered, looked dirty, not available.

Clean - the most important aspect of a hotel. It’s an older building and you can tell but it’s clean and didn’t have any bad smells. Which for the price point, is more than what you would expect from other properties at the same price point. Service was good, efficient check-in. Would stay again.

Other guests were loud all night long, and banging doors open and shut. Staff was very nice. Room was gross in the bathroom. It looked like someone peed all over the walls. There was hair stuck in it.

We stayed here for one night (was supposed to be 2) after driving 13 hours. We got there and went to sleep because we were completely exhausted. When we woke up in the morning we found out that the room and hotel have ROACHES everywhere. I was crawling in my skin and completely freaked out. When we grabbed our stuff and left the front desk worker said “I thought they got them all in that room” so this is a known issue at this hotel. We got our money back and went across the street to the Fairfield Inn and Suites which was exceptional. Lesson learned, you literally couldn’t pay me to stay at Motel 6 again.

It stank bad!!! Not even sure what the smell was! There was what appeared to be an unhomed person living in their car in the parking lot, if not more than one. Making it feel unsafe. Wobbly toilet that didn’t work well. Floors in the rooms were filthy!

It was minimal. Just somewhere to sleep for only 1 night. And 1 night only. The accomdations included a refrigerator. That's it. No small one cup coffee maker. No microwave. That's it. Would I recommend this place to someone else? NO. I wouldn't.

The TV in my room stopped workìng and they wouldnt send anyone up to look at it. They gave me new batteries for the remote once, then told me they didn't have anymore batteries when that didn't fix it, so I bought some just to try and that also didn't fix it.

At checkin, asked if I could get a quiet room, even if it meant walking further from the elevator. This is a large hotel and it had a lot of vacancies. Not only did I get an adjoining room with no soundproofing under the door such that I could here the neighbors making noise until early in the morning, but there were also kids running through the hallway until very late. With so much space, there was no reason to pack us all together near the elevators. No point in going back if I can't sleep.

My husband requested a late check out 2 days in advance, as he was staying there for work (he works 3rd shift and is off work at 6 am). He was advised that he could stay until 1 pm. At 11 am, housekeeping and the manager were beating on his door (waking him up) and told him they did not have him as late check out. They eventually granted the request, but then housekeeping continued to slam doors and he was not able to go back to sleep. When he left he thanked the housekeeper for slamming doors. She started yelling at him telling him to find a new effing hotel and to enjoy his miserable effing life. She continued to yell things out the window to him as he walked to the car. We will NEVER stay at this motel again. We have stayed here multiple times in tbe last 2 mos due to work travel as we are relocating. There are so many people staying at this hotel who are clearly on meth and use this place as their home. I

First the lady at front desk was yelling at me for nothing, then in the room lights out, toilet paper holder was broken and the ice maker machine broke, not sure if I recommend this hotel case I asked front desk for a different room he said I have to manage it like that ☹️😢

This place was immaculate! Never seen a Motel 6 so nice! Plus I experienced the quickest check-in EVER 🙌 I will definitely stay here every time I visit Des Moines! Location is perfect, right off the highway and tons of stores and food around. Also, the staff was above average!

The beds were comfortable but the room its self was dirty. You could see daylight from holes around the air conditioner. The hallway to the rooms was trashed and I dont think the air worked in the hallways. Cars in the parking lot that looked like they have been sitting there for 6months with flat tires. Would give it a 3/10 and wouldn't stay again unless I was desperate

We got in around midnight and the person at the front desk was very helpful and polite. Our room was okay. The bed was comfortable, but there was just a tiny bit of gunk on one side of the sheet, so we just slept on top of the blanket. There was no shampoo or conditioner to wash your hair in the morning, just bar soap, so be sure to bring your own. Or maybe the front desk would have some, but I didn't have the time to ask and wait. The bathroom was a bit beat up, not dirty though. Overall, it was a good place to stay for one night when you just need to crash somewhere and hit the road again the next day. Felt safe and the AC worked!

My stay was good. It was a super last minute booking because the hotel we booked was dog-friendly not pet-friendly. The front desk agent was super understanding and very helpful. He showed us the best place to park our moving truck and got us settled in quickly. There are no coffee pots in the room but they offer community coffee in the morning by the front desk. I wish they had offered slightly bigger cups for the coffee instead of mini 4 oz. cups. Overall I would stay there again.

walking up to front entry is not good as it needs a good cleaning and pool cover is dirty and needs repair.for the price we paid there should have been breakfast included but all there is is vending machines.
