Hilton Garden Inn Huntsville South/Redstone Arsenal

We ended up staying 1 night, then left. I was told that when showing up to check in, the pool would be fixed the next day. I asked the next day, won't be open till sometime the following week... I felt lied to and will never stay here again.

Great place but didn’t know the restaurant/bar was closed until we got there, should have been a bit cheaper since the place was under construction and had to leave the property for dinner, otherwise a wonderful experience! The construction will be completed spring 2024

This hotel is off the main road and not very walkable to area locations other than a strip mall but a close drive to Memorial Parkway and a quick drive downtown. The pool area does not have a hot tub but it has a nice fitness area. Room was clean with black out shades. Comfy beds and quiet! I’d stay again when in the area.

Overall, not a bad place to stay. Rooms are nice and well furnished. Things that kept me from giving five stars… -towels were not stocked well in the pool area. Aside from this, the pool was great. When more towels were requested for the area, desk staff indicated there were no more available until laundry finished. I appreciate the honesty, but was surprised that a hotel like this would have ALL of its towels out. - our bathroom had some kind of unpleasant smell. It was hard to put our finger on it, but it was there the entire stay. - the phone in our room did not work at all - the hook on our bathroom door was dangling. This isn’t a huge inconvenience, but it made me wonder how well the facility is maintained. - we requested some extra blankets and the front desk said they didn’t have any. No explanation that I heard, but I thought that was odd. None of these are massive failures, but definitely things I don’t expect when paying $180 for a one night stay that does not include any kind of breakfast. I got the impression they were under-staffed as I can only recall seeing 4-5 different employees during our stay. Flip side: -Staff were all extremely polite. -check-in was as easy and fast as I can ever recall, anywhere. -the area of town seemed very acceptable/safe. Nothing I saw raised any suspicion on my part.

I was put right underneath workers cutting with a loud machine. They moved me from floor 4 to floor 2. Still loud but not blasting loud. Had a headache every morning and was not a enjoyable stay. Been there every year in January. When booked should of said loud repairs. Pardon the dust doesn’t cut it. Will never stay there again. Not a relaxing stay. Very unsatisfactory. Never in my life had I had an experience like this.

I feel that hotels need to be tranparent when they are under construction - I walked into a bunch of noise after a super long day - inside does not look the way it did NO FOOD - comfort level was POOR i feel that they should duscount rates during these times or warn the travelers

Building and facilities showing a bit of age. Staff friendly. Exercise room TV did not work well. Bed and room comfortable.

Great location and parking access. Greeted immediately upon arrival and given 2 bottles of water, which was welcomed. Room was spacious and most importantly clean! Pillows need to be upgraded! Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel is nice and clean but one of the elevator’s buttons didn’t work properly and wouldn’t go to our floor so had to use the other elevator.

The bed was comfortable and room appeared clean. Noticed a little hair in the shower from the prior guest and some of the baseboard (plastic piece) was completely away from the wall laying on the floor. Location was convenient and quiet

Under renovation and linens had to be traded out because they smelled like CBD vape Not good!!

Just a few small things. The bathroom floor was not clean. The closet door was off its rollers and was hard to open and close. Someone broke the button for floor number 2 in elevator 1 but we reported it to management. Otherwise, we felt safe there. The bedding and towels were super white, clean and fresh. Even the room and hotel were very clean. The staff were very nice.

Stayed here as we were passing through town overnight. Staff very friendly, easy check in process. The whole building looks recently renovated, very modern and inviting. Room was VERY clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good for the extra $12 for two people added when booking - a nice continental breakfast with some hot foods (eggs, sausage, grits and biscuits, potatoes). Would definitely stay here again.

The front desk lady who checked us in was super friendly. The room was nice, the only issue i had was that the window had a ton of ladybugs. I just closed the curtains and they didnt really bother us. Otherwise super pleasant stay!

The hotel was nice and the room was clean, but I will never stay here again because it’s dog friendly and my room smelled like a dog.

There were lady bugs in my room which made it extremely uncomfortable

Hair from previous guests in the shower, mud and dirt all over floors, fixtures are taped to the wall, bathroom fixtures in very bad condition. Definitely not what I expect.

This visit maked my 4th stay. Which mean I liked the comfort of my stay. However, this stay I experienced a bit uncleanness. There was a few hard brown spots on the carpet between the queen size beds. Also there were several visible stains on one other bed comfort. The staff was friendly as usual and the rest of the stay was appealing.

Air-conditioning could not be adjusted...it was freezing in room all night. Called front desk and they said they would come but never did. Hair dryer did not work. Television was complicated. Room was very clean and bed was super comfortable.

Hotel was nice and it a quiet area. Room was clean, but light was not working in bathroom and AC was really loud and kept waking me up.

This property is dated.

The rooms are entirely too small and too plain for the amount of money that they charge. There's nothing luxury about the rooms, at least not the room I stayed in. Not any different from any other motel room establishment in the way of furnishings and overall room size and appearance they charge a big price for the same thing. They even called it luxury sheets. My sheets at home were softer than their sheets and I do have a luxury hotel sheets on my bed. I definitely will not pay to stay there again, not that price

Average at best. Was fairly quiet because i was there during midweek. Bed and pillows were terrible. Isnt that what you get a room for is to sleep? tossed and turned all night. Bed was like sheet of concrete. Pillows were like a bag stuffed with cotton. Would not stay again.

The beds are horrible, needed comfort not hardness. Also being handicapped we were put the furtherest down the hallway from the elevators.

The staff were so friendly and the rooms were so clean! Thanks for a great stay! My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was not consistent and got very weak.

Top tier customer service

When I arrived at the hotel they could not find my reservation. I never received a confirmation number on my reservation so that made things worse. Trying to use the customer service chat on Hotels.com was impossible. The front desk clerk finally figured out that they were sent my reservation with the name "Ron Ron: instead of :Ron Beers." All of this took 45 minutes. It was the end of a long day and was the last thing I needed.

I was not told at check-in that the rooms were only cleaned every other day unless I request it. Came home from a 14-hour work day to my trash can still full of food and having no towels. I also booked through hotels.com where the booking stated I would have free breakfast but I was charged both days and when I inquired they said I did not opt for free breakfast even though my booking said I did. There's a beautiful bar that opens at 5:00 p.m. but does not serve food. Not warm and fuzzy at all.

Every thing was great. I forgot a couple of things and called the desk to ask about them this morning and she was very short and rude to me over the phone like I was bothering her.

More so about the service provided at the hotel. I wasn’t to pleased with the lack of hospitality we encountered. The bartender was rude and so was the morning waitress.

The property overall was fine. The phones in the room half way worked. And when they did work, staff didn’t answer the phone on second or third shift.

It was a good stay. Nice and quiet. There is no restaurants or shopping places or convince stores close to the place, so plan on doing some driving about 15 minutes away. The place does have a well stocked up supply of snacks and drinks near the front counter. Coffee and water has been set out in the front lobby on a table. Lots of room for sitting around and talking.

Convenient to downtown. Fairly easy to jump on and off the highway. It’s a very quiet location. Clean place with friendly staff.

Hotel is not convenient to find ! It is off in the cut and difficult to locate . Was very out dated lobby smelled like cigarettes. Front desk lady was not friendly and took forever to check me in. She asked me how I wanted to pay and then still charged my card on file because she couldn’t figure out the card reader . Dead bugs laying around. I will not be returning

The staff was excellent and very helpful, the food on the breakfast bar was delicious and it was clean, comfortable and quiet. We stayed at this motel 3 to 4 times a year and it is excellent. Also, we will be back there over for Thanksgiving holidays. We were a little disappointed, and very surprised that the compliment breakfast was not offered anymore had to pay for each item bread, bagel, cereal etc. other than that everything else outstanding look forward for return Thanksgiving, Al Pace 704-654-2198 complementary breakfast

We booked through a travel site and it did not include breakfast. The price the hotel was going to charge us for breakfast was ridiculous!!!! Will not stay there again!

The hotel was clean & the room was roomy & convenient. We paid for three breakfasts and we were told at checkin breakfast was served until 10 am. I went down at 9:45 & the hot items were already being taken up. When I asked about them, the server was rude & didn’t want to provide the food taken up early. I eventually convinced her that I had paid for the food which was supposed to be served until 10 am. But she made me feel terrible about it. Just provide what you say you provide when you say you provide it & don’t make customers feel unworthy to get what they pay for.

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, good bed, convenient enough location. Pretty standard mid-level huge-chain accommodations. The breakfast was stupid expensive, and the coffee machine was broken (can't run to Walmart and get a spare?)
