Depending on who is on staff, your experience could be great or mediocre. Some staff was awesome and some staff didn't seem to want to be there...Very clean, adequate breakfast, and the outdoor pool was surprisingly great! Good stay for the price

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in need of some major fixes/updates. The washer/dryers were ALL broken down and we were there for a baseball tournament so that was very inconvenient. Someone set off the fire alarm at 2 am burning popcorn so we spent time outside waiting for the fire department to get there. The room did appear clean other than the stained carpet.

The unpretentious property had everything we needed, It was convenient, assible with adequate room to navigate in a wheelchair,. Adequate breakfast. Clean and well maintained. It was also inexpensive, I would stay here again,

The carpet in the halls by my room were wet. They were wet the entire stay. The paint was coming off the walls in the restroom of my room. The television was dark. Could not adjust the color so we did not watch tv. There was always a large amount of laundry in the hall. The people and service was great.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was unacceptable. The bathroom had visible mold, which is not only unpleasant but a serious health concern. The carpet was stained throughout the room, giving the entire space a dirty, neglected feel. Worst of all, the sheets were not clean, which is the bare minimum any guest should be able to expect. For the price and the reputation this property claims to have, the level of cleanliness was extremely disappointing. I hope management addresses these issues immediately, because as it stands, I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. I will be requesting a refund

The bathroom was not cleaned properly with strands of hair across the shower, toilet and sink. The base of the toilet and floor were gross with dried pee and dirt.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows were comfortable. A/C was plenty cold. The bathroom was spotless. The free breakfast had plenty of options, including scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, waffles, toast, muffins, yogurt, cereals, coffee, and a variety of juices. The location was convenient, with a nearby gas station and grocery store, and not too far from downtown. I would stay here again.

Stay away from this place. Worst hotel ever. The place was dirty, sheets and comforter didn’t look clean, carpet was old & dirty with stains on it. Worst part was the sink faucet in the bathroom didn’t work with no water coming out. The tub wouldn’t drain when taking shower and had standing dirty water. Phone, clock in the room didn’t work either.

The cleanliness was not what I was expected out of a hotel. There were stained bedsheets and trash from previous occupants. Most likely will not stay here again. however, the staff was friendly and the location was nice and walkable to restaurants and stores.

We stayed for one night, there was a band aid on the smoke detector like maybe someone used for blocking a light on it. Toilet had feces all over the handle and in the bowl. More care into cleaning was needed. Other than that everything else was fine. Breakfast was perfect for what we needed. Staff were all friendly.

Multiple, filthy--even sticky!--carpet stains throughout the room. Sink faucet handles loose and floppy. Shower didn't drain, and water was barely warm. Laundry carts strewn about just outside the lobby, with wash cloths on the floor, looking like they'd been forsaken there a month. This is a sad, disgusting, and neglected hotel.

The bathtub drained very slowly. The shower diverter valve got stuck so I had to force it down. The device used to prevent the door from opening was loose and needed to be screwed in tight . Breakfast was good both days. The room was clean and spacious.

TV was dark/barely visible, heat didn't work (the fix was to bang on the unit each time it quit working), website says checkout is at noon but we got a knock on the door at 11:05 and told we had 20 minutes to get out. I just checked and the website still shows noon checkout. Walls were very thin and we could hear conversation in the rooms on either side of us and in the hallway.

This place was fine, but it's not aging well. My room had wobbly furniture, a very loud heater and fridge, and mismatched lightbulbs in the bathroom. I could hear someone talking on the phone in the connecting room even though my door was shut and presumably the one on the other side was too.

Well the check in provess was great, and the lady gave aus a great restaurant suggestion. I was immediately struck by the disarray and cleanliness of the building. Our room had a moldy smell and the paint was peeling in places. The linens were clean. The hotel looks generally run down. After a long day of over 8 hours of travel, we needed a good night sleep. We were awakened at 4:50am by the loud, and angry, conversation that was coming from the front desk staff. Needless to say, we were exhausted the rest of the day after being woken up so early. They were completely unaware that their voces could be heard throughout the first floor of the hotel. It is highly unprofessional.

This facility is not fancy, but they use BeautyRest mattress which is one of my favorite! I had a nice quite sleep. I definitely will consider to stay here next time when I visit Blooming, IN.

I had tried all week to contact the hotel to advise of a late check-in in accordance with our travel plans to no avail. Upon arrival I was advised that our room had been canceled eventhough I had received an email advising of check-in (assuming automated) and asking for a review of the check-in experience. The manager advised that he would have to book a new room and I'd have to pay their full rate and request a refund from Hotels.com/Expedia. When I told him that was unacceptable and became argumentative with him he ordered me to leave the hotel and threatened to call the police. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel and/or staff anywhere in the world in my years of travel. I'll never stay with anther Comfort Inn. I went next door to the Holiday in and explained my experience to them and was accomodaed immediately with a discount rate and was comfortably in bed within 15 minutes.

We were in town for our daughter’s graduation from IU . We were pleasantly surprised that we could even book a hotel room 6 weeks before ! The staff ( especially River at the front desk ) were so refreshingly pleasant and gave us gift bags ! We will come back to the hotel again because of the generous staff and clean facilities!!

They refused to give me the room I booked because I booked through a 3rd party and I had to purchase a second room. Toilets ran all night, stains on the carpet and the place smelled.

I checked in in the evening, no one was at the desk at first. Someone came out of her car, didn’t greet me or seem friendly, checked me in but didn’t tell me anything about breakfast etc. The main light in my room didn’t work. It was my first time staying here, but I wouldn’t do it again.

The GM was very rude and kicked us out over suspicious activity because I walked to gas station and someone that had been trespassed was there before I got there. Called the cops on us and we never had anyone come to room, was quiet, and caused no trouble kept our room clean.

The facility is adequate. The lobby wallpaper is peeling and generally the property would benefit from some upgrades.... but i can overlook that because the front desk staff us SO amazing. I travel often, but this group of women really made me feel welcome! I asked for restaurant recommendations and had a few other interactions - all very positive

Our room seemed clean except there were numerous splotches on the carpet that had not been remedied. Also, a bldg adjacent to the hotel (guessing low income housing) had lots of people hanging around outside (w/o shirts on, etc) and seemed unsafe. And the parking lot opposite the front hotel door had cars coming in and out and appeared to be drug deals going on throughout the evening. Overall seemed like a very unsafe area and glad to see that my car was not vandalized in the morning

For almost 200 a night the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The shower was almost unusable and you felt like the toilet was just going to rock off the floor. The mold in the bathroom was a nice touch. The only thing hot about the breakfast was the coffee.

Apparently there was an upgrade to this property so the guest rooms were very nice. Comfy beds, updated decor, and quiet. The negative was lack of water. Wanting to fill a water bottle the front desk attendant mentioned there was water in the fitness room. The bottle was empty/needed to be replaced. The front desk stated she’d leave a note. Next morning, still empty. Apparently a crowd ate breakfast before we got there and many items were not replaced. Very disappointing.

The lady working at 5pm Friday June 20th at the front desk was very nice and got us checked in quickly. The hallways to our room smelled very good and clean. Our room was perfect. Very comfortable bed. Good tv channel's including 3 HBO and Cinemax. Breakfast was so good. Hot and cold selections at no extra price. This is our 5th time staying here through the last couple of years. Even though softball is ending for my daughter. If anyone ask or I need to stay in Bloomington again. This will always be my first and only choice.

Breakfast provided 2 of 3 day stay. Coffee was good. This hotel is clean and safe but be warned the staff will be unhappy with you if you point out that anything is missing, such as sugar packets at breakfast. They also got upset because i asked the maid to take out the trash after 2 nights.
