Very nice Hotel. Great buffet breakfast and very clean rooms. Front staff very helpful and provided us a to go breakfast on our very early departure. Also very helpful in helping secure parking very close to entrance. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast area and bar were very nice, and the staff were friendly. The pool was also clean and well maintained. However, the room itself was disappointing. It had a strong damp smell, the mattress was very uncomfortable, and the shower wasn’t particularly clean around the bottom of the door. On the positive side, the room was a good size, and the balcony received plenty of sun, which was lovely. Considering the inexpensive price and the excellent location, close to both the beach and the centre of Glyfada, it does offer good value. If you’re lucky enough to get a fresher room and don’t mind a very firm mattress, it can be a great choice.

Very dated room - felt like a time warp back to the 1950s. Only one outlet!! Most staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms could really use some love and attention from what I saw. Pool was quite nice as was the bar restaurant and breakfast buffet. Parking was not always easy but we got lucky a few times. Not sure that I would go back to this hotel.

The staff @ Golden Sun were lovely and all so helpful! The pool not being open was a big surprise & upset for me as that was the main reason I booked the hotel and it was 25 degrees + more each day. It was way too hot to be sitting by the pool without being able to dip :( I couldve saved $$ by staying elsewhere so I wish this had been advertised. My other main issue was it was SO hot every night. I finally got hold of a fan (they were hard to come by) and then that fan broke and was really small / dingy so I barely got any sleep while I was there. Staff was excellent but hotel was a bit of a disappointment due to the above.

Great location, very close to fantastic beaches and restaurants, the hotel pool was well maintained with lifeguard monitoring the children all day. Very reliable and convenient.

This is the email I sent to the hotel manager. It says it all For the attention of the manager. We have recently returned from 7 days stay at your hotel: I booked 2 rooms, one for my daughter who stayed in 314 and one for me and my partner (108). Although we found the staff very friendly and helpful, the same cannot be said of my room (108), see the pictures. As you can see, these photos were taken on two separate days; there were 2 cockroaches running around the room on the second time but I only managed to get a pic of one of them. I was hoping to speak to the manager before we left but he was not available. This really is disgusting and is totally unacceptable. All we were offered was a can of fly spray and offered to change rooms - but it was very late at night and we were tired. The point is that we should not have been put in this situation, especially my partner who locked herself in the bathroom because she is terrified of these insects. The hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to the main shopping/restaurant district and also local beaches. The pool area was very nice and the outdoor sitting areas. The rooms were dated but nice. Our main problem with this hotel is the cleanliness. We booked for 3 nights - on our first night we found several large (2-4inch) cockroaches in the bedroom area and the bathroom. Staff was very accommodating and moved us to another room. On our third night, in our new room, more cockroaches were in our room and on the balcony. Very disappointing as everything else about the hotel was great, however would not return due to the bug infestation it clearly has and the bacteria that cockroaches carry.

The staff was extremely welcoming, warm, polite and helpful. The pool area was amazing and well kept. The rooms on the other hand were not good. One of our room didn’t have working AC. The fridges were not working. The rooms were dark and out dated. The furnitures were dirty.

Room was clean. The balcony door seemed heavy to move. The hotel is close to the Pikpa and Kolymbiterio stops. Hotel breakfast is good. Staff was courteous, speaks English and was appreciative of efforts to speak Greek. I would book this hotel if i were to return to Glyfadha

The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. It's an older property which looks to have had renovations so the bedrooms are larger than modern hotels. Beds are very comfy and there was a great powerful shower. Lovely breakfast even the hotel coffee machine is better than most hotels I stay in. You can walk to the beach, restaurant and shops and it's an easy taxi to town and the airport.

The furniture was the exact same as in the images, but it did feel markedly small for the size of the room. I booked a room for two people but because I checked alone, they denied access to double breakfast or occupancy. There was substantial noice coming through the bathroom exhaust system from the adjacent bedroom.

I recently stayed at Golden Sun, and while I appreciated the cleanliness of the place, I was quite disappointed overall. The hotel itself feels very outdated, with everything—from the furniture to the decor—looking old and in need of an upgrade. It doesn't live up to the expectations I had based on the listing. The most frustrating part of my stay was being charged almost the same amount as a full night's stay (which I booked through Expedia) just for a couple of hours of late check-in. The hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to the main shopping/restaurant district and also local beaches. The pool area was very nice and the outdoor sitting areas. The rooms were dated but nice. Our main problem with this hotel is the cleanliness. We booked for 3 nights - on our first night we found several large (2-4inch) cockroaches in the bedroom area and the bathroom. Staff was very accommodating and moved us to another room. On our third night, in our new room, more cockroaches were in our room and on the balcony. Very disappointing as everything else about the hotel was great, however would not return due to the bug infestation it clearly has and the bacteria that cockroaches carry.

The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. It's an older property which looks to have had renovations so the bedrooms are larger than modern hotels. Beds are very comfy and there was a great powerful shower. Lovely breakfast even the hotel coffee machine is better than most hotels I stay in. You can walk to the beach, restaurant and shops and it's an easy taxi to town and the airport.

Close to town, beach, and marina. We stayed here one night before getting on the boat. Loved the staff and their suggestions for a great gym and great ‘locals’ restaurant. It’s a great basic, no frills hotel, with a friendly, helpful team.

The breakfast area and bar were very nice, and the staff were friendly. The pool was also clean and well maintained. However, the room itself was disappointing. It had a strong damp smell, the mattress was very uncomfortable, and the shower wasn’t particularly clean around the bottom of the door. On the positive side, the room was a good size, and the balcony received plenty of sun, which was lovely. Considering the inexpensive price and the excellent location, close to both the beach and the centre of Glyfada, it does offer good value. If you’re lucky enough to get a fresher room and don’t mind a very firm mattress, it can be a great choice.

Very dated room - felt like a time warp back to the 1950s. Only one outlet!! Most staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms could really use some love and attention from what I saw. Pool was quite nice as was the bar restaurant and breakfast buffet. Parking was not always easy but we got lucky a few times. Not sure that I would go back to this hotel.

Staff at check in and check out were terrible. Did not advise when breakfast was or provide map anything of local area. Hotel was clean but dated and when the shower leaked the woman at the front desk yelled at me for using the towel to dry the floor (literally deadly) vs calling front desk and waiting for maintenance, then told me I could wait until morning for fresh towels and shower. Fortunately her male counterpart was more helpful and pulled towels from an unused room. Beautiful property but not properly staffed or equipped making for a terrible experience. Also the room had minimal lighting so it was like a cave at night.
