Stayed 1 night

We only stayed overnight. Breakfast was ok, but had no meat/protein. I didn’t know there isn’t an elevator, so that is something to consider if you can not climb stairs. I feel it should have been in the listing so people know…We were on the second floor, so we had to haul our things up the stairs. Overall it was ok, but we’d probably try a different hotel if we stop in that area again.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable at least. But check-in took far too long and though we were quoted a $20 early check-in fee, when we arrived, we were told $30. I told the man at the desk I had been quoted $20 on the phone, and they lowered it. The staff were polite, but only enough to not be rude. There is no elevator, so we had to carry our bags up the stairs. The breakfast was underwhelming with nearly every option being carbs (cereal, bagels, muffins, potatoes, waffles). The only protein was rubbery sausage and two flavors of yogurt. K State was having a home football game in nearby Manhattan, so hotel options were limited, but I wish I had paid a little more to stay somewhere else.

The landscape was overgrown, lots of weeds. l/2 of the building looked like it needed cleaned. Our room was clean except for the bedspread looked soiled. The room smelled like urine. The staff was very pleasant but the clerks checking in were very hard to understand and at times spoke a different language. That is never pleasant in the US.

Hard to find anyone at the front desk. A robber could come in and never be noticed. That really concerned us. Even though we canceled one of the reserved rooms. We were still charged. I am still trying to get reimbursed. Will not stay here again.

We came to Manhattan for the Kansas State Football game and we had to stay in Junction City. The Quality Inn was very clean and the rooms were wonderful. I highly recommend the Quality Inn if you cannot get a room in Manhattan.
