Close to Indiana Dunes, lots of well stocked stores, even an outlet mall nearby handy for beach stuff. Nice inside pool and jacuzzi.

Overall I will recommend this place to stay. Staff let us check in 25 minutes earlier a plus for that. They had a pool which we really had a great time swimming in it. Plus they had a hot and relaxing mini pool.

Everything was clean. it was just outdated. The furniture was scratched, painting, repair and updates are needed. However, the staff was super nice. Our bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was close to Everything!

Hotel was great staff was great veryhelpful. The only complaint is the chlorine smell was extremely strong, we were on the third floor and could smell it up there, but when we walked in the entrance it was extreme. Room was very nice other than that.

We chose this hotel because we wanted a hot tub after driving and sightseeing all day. The hot tub was cold and so didn’t use it. Not just cool but COLD!!

Pool only had a couple of chairs but one was cracked

The property was very clean, and many updates were noticed throughout. The parts that weren't updated were really clean though, the staff seems to really care about the property. We were happy with having a good size refrigerator in the room, a fitness center, clean pool and hot tub, and the breakfast area was continuously stocked and clean. If we are in this area again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Overall the hotel was clean and in good shape however the workout room was non functional. The A/C was broken, both treadmills did not work, the weight training machine had a broken cable and there was no remote for the TV. We look forward to getting some exercise after a day spent in the car. We were very disappointed. This hotel is off our list now.

Breakfast was an different choice each morning, and always good. The room was very clean and convenient. The hot tub was great, and the pool felt awesome after hiking during the day. The only downsides (and these were outside the staff's control for the record) were that I don't think the room refrigerator worked the first day or two, then seemed to kick in on my final night and that the hotel's dryer went out of order when I actually hoped to clean my clothes, but that's nobody's fault, these things happen.

We had a King room on the first floor. It smelled so bad of mildew so Musty. It was damp. It was hard to sleep but we were too exhausted to change rooms after a 9 hour drive from Minnesota.

Front desk staff was very nice at check in. Room was clean. Breakfast was decent. Furniture was starting to show some wear. Would stay here again.

We checked in kind of late and the first room we got assigned to was GROSS. It smelled very musty, the furniture was in terrible condition and we found mold on the bed skirt as well as dirty sheets. I have never complained and asked to change rooms but I didn’t have a choice. After telling the front desk employee our concerns, she was nice enough to assign us another room which was much larger and was in better condition (other than the banged up furniture). I was still pretty grossed out by the previous room so didn’t feel much more comfortable in the better room. Also, the coffee maker was in the bathroom, right next to the toilet? That’s just unsanitary! On a positive note, the Breakfast was decent and the staff was very nice.

The hotel had a kitchen area, a living room with a television and a separate bedroom with another television. It was clean and quiet. It is near I-94. This hotel is much nicer than other hotels I’ve stayed at. I would definitely stay here or other Country Suites hotels again.

Room smelled like mold

Overall it was an okay stay, would not book again. Room was old, furniture was old and worn out, bathroom was just okay but felt dirty. Linens need to be updated and replaced. Not well maintained common area or pool. Staff was friendly.

Breakfast eggs was over cooked dry. Coffee watery tasting. No orange juice only apple and cranberry. Room carpet dirty. Sink slow draining. Pillows not comfortable. Noise over head complaint to front desk nothing done about it kids .mention at check out desk clerk never acknowledge.

I came to Indiana to see family, but wanted my own space for sleeping and showering. I picked this hotel because the price was WAY more fair compared to others in the area and had decent reviews. I was only here to sleep and shower, so I didn't want to pay more than I needed. Check in was easy and wonderful. The front desk lady was SO KIND and so nice, Linda I think. I got a free upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. I didn't need it, but it was nice nonetheless. While the hotel was clean, quiet, and well kept, the reason why I downgraded my rating was that bed was the WORST bed I ever slept on in my entire life. I hurt my back at the airport the day I came in, and I slept two nights on that bed and it made it worse. There was no cushion, so softness, NO support. I didn't sleep for 2 days with trying to get comfortable. The hotel was booked so I couldn't try another room to see if the bed was better. It was like sleeping on a warped plywood board. I brought a family member with me to try it and couldn't believe that's what I slept on for 2 nights. Due to this, I ended up checking out early after two nights, even though I was booked for 3. I couldn't do it. I stayed on a family members couch, which was 100% more comfortable. Thankfully, the early checkout fee was waived due to the bed. If you can handle an off bed, FIRM beds, this place will be okay but be warned. I hope those get upgraded. Sadly, I won't be able to stay here again when I come back.

It’s a nice hotel and you can tell they’ve made a lot of improvements but the furniture in our room was pretty shabby/beat up looking. Also, our bathroom sink was very slow to drain and one of the TVs in our room didn’t work. What we liked was how quiet it was and the staff was SO friendly. We would stay here again.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The condition of the furniture in the room was poor - it was old and well worn. In addition, the additional security lock on the door did not work. The facilities could use an upgrade.

Rm 303. Bathroom fan not working. Sink drained very slowly. Pillows not good. Bed comfort ok. Maybe put some pictures over the beds.

We have stayed at this property numerous times and was a bit disappointed with the condition of the room that we were assigned this time around...the water in the sink took forever to go down.... no full length mirror in the room at all which made it very frustrating when getting ready to go out... the furniture looked very worn... only one charger jack in the entire room.

Mattress was not comfortable.

There was a loud and continuous ticking noise in the room, and there was no housekeeping on site. Alternate room was not provided. Otherwise clean and friendly. The sitting are furniture and TVs etc look beat up and old.

People up above me jumping around got no sleep and front desk woman said my card would not go thru 5 times gave her another one said same thing till another woman came in to fix things very unhappy

Very pleased. Had problem with air conditioner making a noise, and it was fixed within the day. No complaints.

The check in experience was below subpar. The attendant at the desk was extremely unprofessional and rude. I was truly disappointed that my weekend get away started off on such an unpleasant note. The attendant was so rude that I actually feel uneasy about leaving my items in the room not knowing what the attendant could do. I suggest that Amber the manager get some additional customer service training.

We were upgraded to a suite free of charge. The room had a lot of space and was clean. Free breakfast and hot shower!

Checkin employee was out smoking. I was sitting on a bench waiting for my husband to park. The employee came out to smoke, lit up and blew smoke in my face. I said, “Could you smoke at the other bench on the other side? I am allergic to smoke. She said that she had to smoke by me so she could watch the front desk. The room had no sugar, etc to go with the coffee/tea. The pillows were not sufficient being very small and not enough in # on a king bed. There was only 1 bar of soap, so how do you take a whirlpool and be at the sink with not enough soap? I went to the checkin for another soap and coffee sugar. She argued with me do I had to explain my request. The handrails were sticky from floor 2 to 1st floor. The nightstands were all chipped. The hotel has a bad odor upon walking in the door. The carpet in the room was stained and dirty. The light dimmer knob was missing. Poor condition for the rate charged.The continental breakfast was not pleasing: gravy, biscuits, cereal and fruit…No eggs! We will not stay here again.

Lady who checked us in was extremely pleasant and helpful. Made it a very nice start to the visit and as a result, we will be back.

Comfortable room with above average breakfast. Convenient location for a quick overnight.

It was super easy to get checked in. I like how close the hotel is to Wal-Mart, gas stations, and restaurants.

Its close to everything you need. Gas, food, etc. It was very quiet.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting the Indiana Dunes National Park and a few Michigan state parks. The hotel was conveniently located for all of that. There are plenty of places near the hotel for food and gas. All of the hotel staff were great.

A nice large room, and seemed quite clean. Bed was comfortable. Located near many restaurants, close to a major highway, but not right next to it. Parking was convenient and well-lit. Staff seemed friendly. Mirror in bathroom was cracked. Breakfast was sparse compared to most other hotels that offer a hot breakfast.

No Muffins, No Doughnuts, No sweets of any kind. I asked at the desk and he said that they were not allowed to do so. I doubt that! The other items were...sausages(good), eggs(the kind from a box)... For paying the price we paid...you would expect more. Positive: Lady at check in PM was very good!! Room - good, too. Only real negative was the very disappointing so called breakfast.

That was a terrible breakfast over two-day stay. The worst I’ve ever had. No eggs, not even boiled. No bagels, no muffins, no cream cheese nor peanut butter spread. Fruits were to the bare minimum of few apples and a couple of bananas. They had ketchup but for what? Not any type of potatoes were provided. Only biscuits and grits, few slices of white and wheat bread. The pool was so cold. I know it’s winter but a couple of degrees more to be able to swim comfortably. The hot tub wasn’t even hot. No near that. It was just warm enough to sit in it instead of the cold swimming pool.
