This property was being remodeled. The pool was closed when we arrived which was one of the reasons we picked the hotel. They did eventually let the kids swim after the tools and workers were done but there was caution tape and a bit of a mess. The rooms had carpet stains as well as stains on the room furniture. Overall the stay was a bit disappointing, I’m sure after the remodel it will be improve.

We went for a quite weekend and had to walk through construction zone to get to the room. Hot tub was broken and tv did not work in room. The smell of paint was overpowering. The price we paid was high for the condition the hotel is currently in.

Sad to have paid for this place and then the hot tub was not usable. Depending on day, dining area wasn't as cleaned up after users as would have been nice. ie table and counter areas not cleaned off. Would stay again though.

Room was ok. We did t get a king bed like I reserved. Shower pressure was so week. I felt like I was outside in rain while it was sprinkling. Hot tub didn’t work. No towels available in pool area. No bar of soap in room had to ask for that. Overall bad experience staying there. Will not stay there again

Room was extremely smelly, moldy and musty. It was so humid in the room the walls, floor and sheets were wet. Mold on lamp shade, steel door hinges and hardware rusting. Noisy air conditioning unit. We were booked for 2 nights and left after only a few hours as we felt sick due to smell and mold.

We stayed at this hotel after a concert event nearby. Upon checking in, that staff was friendly and professional despite the influx of the concert crowd. When we got to our room, the sink was clogged and there was hair in the sink. The toilet was not cleaned. And there were hairs left behind in the shower. Additionally, the remote and lamp switches appeared dirty with crumbs and grease left behind from the former tenant. We knew the chance at a room replacement would be slim with the hotel being at capacity. The best the evening staff could do was provide us a spray bottle of cleaner to clean ourselves. The bed was made when we got to the room, but we knew sleeping in it would be just as much a gamble.

The carpet was dirty in the hallway and in the room we had to by aerosol also the card key only worked once we stayed 5 days every time we went out had to activate the card over and over changes cards 3 times same issue I don’t like to give bad reviews but needs improvement

The rooms smelled musty and like urine. The carpets were filthy, maybe the vacuum they use does not work or they don’t vacuum. The a/c was very loud and did not work well. The front desk person was friendly and helpful.

I’m my opinion this hotel is dirty. I walked in the room and instantly noticed it smelled dirty. Floors are filthy…there was trash on the floor from the person in the room before me. The shower floor was dirty, and there was black slime at the threshold to the shower. It looked like at some point the refrigerator leaked and the cabinet it was in was literally pressed wood that was coming apart. I felt just dirty after staying at this hotel.

The carpet was nasty/filthy and the chair was just as bad. Tried to tell the front clerk that the rod for shower curtain was coming off the wall and wouldn't let you close the curtain. They came next day and put different curtain up and tried to explain that will not fix the problem, she put up anyway. People smoking right outside the entrance was terrible, it smelled awful. The entrance into the property needs fixed, very rough . We will not be coming back.

Ants Ants Ants ! All over the room. The a/c, the counter, refrigerator and beds. Unacceptable for a hotel of this class and brand. No, prior notice that the hotel was being renovated. There were shower enclosures and other various construction materials throughout the hallways blocking the ice machines leaning against the walls, etc., and the floor was completely covered with drywall material. Had I known of the pest issues and the construction I would have chosen somewhere else, but since it was memorial day weekend, I did not have any option left

Not at all happy with this accomodation.For $165 expected clean and safe hotel. Hall carpets stained and dirty. Chair in room was the same. Had to put a towel over it before anyone could sit. Pull out sofa bed bad mattress and no top sheet in bedding bundle. Air vents cloggedd with dust. Had to clean them with face wipes Our socks were filthy after walking around in the room. Worst of all there were people just hanging out in the hallway all night long. Skirmish with the night manager? with another guest. Couldn't get sleep with all the shouting and talking well into 5 AM! Good points...the desk staff were friendly. The breakfast cook did a great job of keeping everything stocked. The food and selections were very good. Bathroom well stocked with clean towels. Room coffee maker was good. But the bad outweighed the good. Won't stay here again!

This location was easy to get to and close to shopping and dining. Many things in hotel seemed new. The staff was friendly. The bed was the worst mattress I’ve slept on in a while. Everything else was great.

The room was very spacious and overall clean. You definitely get what you pay for. There haven’t been any updates. The bathtub sloped down so I felt like I was going to fall and almost did a couple times. The mattress was very hard and lumpy and the bedding was thin. There was no bed skirt so you could see the two dingy box springs. The furniture in the sitting area was worn and starting to tear. Again, you definitely get what you pay for so be prepared.

The room was not as described in the website photos. It was advertised as having a couch with a pull out bed and it did not. Shower pressure was minimal and the toilet was difficult to flush. The room was nice and clean just not what we thought we were booking and paying for.

We've stayed at this property before and it is showing its age. Carpets, paint, facilities etc are all tired and worn, stained etc. There were a few large holes cut out of the hallway ceilings. Check in was easy and fast and the breakfast offerings were good. However, we don't plan to stay again until it's been refurbished.

Property is nice. Needs big update in rooms, faucet barely let water out, took out filter and black stuff came out. Sink did not drain. Bed was hard and not comfortable, pointed out to front desk, they indicated that yes they've heard that and need to update in 1 yr or so.

Property appears dated inside and out. Carpet in rooms stained in many areas. Very low to floor toilets, heavy door for even a bathroom and limited space to get in and out of shower or use toilet. Exterior of building shows need of care as well as landscaping. Comfortable bed with nice bedding. Attempts have been made to update decor.

The night manager was exceptionally rude. We called to tell the property that we would be arriving at 11:45pm, but when he opened the door for us he wasn’t cordial at all. I’d say he was rude to everyone in our party of 4. This is not the way to run a hotel as first impressions are very important. If I had need for a hotel in Kansas City, I would not stay there again!

Upon arrival their systems were down and the response was that we were more than welcome to find another hotel if we wanted. Front desk attendant Jaime was rolling her eyes at customers on the phone and in general acted as if she hated her job and didn’t want to be there. After two hours we finally got checked-in but our keycards didn’t work for the elevator or our room. Finally got rekeyed they stopped working again later in the night and had to be releyed again. The Ice machine does not work on the floor, no towels at the pool, room not having hot water, light in the bathroom didn’t work. At breakfast it’s very limited and presentation was lacking. I was very disappointed, I have never stayed at a Hyatt and had this type of experience.

I am disabled and made that clear. Our bathroom was not handicap set up. There wasn't handicap bars by toilet or shower, The tv didn't work. I asked the girl at the desk she shrugged her shoulders said oh well the ones who could fix it were not there. Nothing like being in a room with a 4 yr old after 16 hours traveling and no tv for her. She told me to use my phone ..... That's not what i paid for She was rude and non caring

Staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel was undergoing renovations, and there were supplies/materials stacked all throughout the hallways. Even so, we weren’t bothered by the renovations. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows weren’t great. Food options nearby the hotel were plentiful. The continental breakfast was adequate, but pretty standard for this price point of a hotel.

Late night front desk employee had no clue of what he was doing. I arrived from being on the road for 12hrs, (note I called ahead of time to notify them of my late check in, assuming and hoping things would be squared away when I arrived) and it still took me 30min to check in. I was the only one there, it was 11:35pm and it was a ghost town. The guy at the desk couldn't even check to see if they had a king size bedroom available when I asked. His response was 'Sorry, I don't know how to operate our new system and I don't know how to check that for you.' Uhmm excuse me? But isn't that your main job? Why are you standing behind this desk if you aren't capable? Later I wake up to my card being ran multiple times even though my room was already paid for by Expedia. Almost $200 was taken from my account in the middle of the night because I was not checked in correctly. I later speak with different reps at the desk the next morning to only be told 'Sorry, the money has credited back to your account but it will take 3-5 business days.' I'm in the middle of a 2 days road trip from CO to SC and due to the negligence of this hotel's staff my gas and food money was taken from me.

The iron was scorched and of course could not be used. However, the front desk replaced it with a new one. Sometimes when I walked to the desk there was no one available without calling aloud for assistance.

Expedia messed up our reservation after we travel 12 hours to get to a wedding and then try to make us figure it out on our own, but the general manager at this hotel, who was amazing. The whole time was able to help us out get our money back from Expedia and was still able to get us a room in a fully booked hotel.

We booked this hotel for the weekend to attend a Sporting Kansas City game. It was within perfect walking distance to and from the park. Great location for nearby shopping and eating. The hotel room was clean and well stocked. The breakfast was nice. The staff was very friendly.

We were very happy with our stay. Our only issue was breakfast on Monday. We loved the breakfast on Sunday. However on Monday we were there 30 minutes before breakfast ended and there was nothing left. We loved our room and our time. The location was great as well. Very close to the stores and restaurants.

We were able to check in at 3 and went to the Stampede for the evening then onto the casino so we came in late but the hotel was quiet and we got a good nights rest in comfortable beds. Breakfast was great! I would recommend this hotel.

The property was everything I had hoped for and that I read on the property's website. Breakfast was excellent, not crowded, quiet and relaxing, great selection and quality of hot and cold. The room was quite spacious as described, very quiet and clean. It appeared as though it had recently been upgraded, as half of the rooms on the floor were currently undergoing upgrade. Would stay again.

The hotel was obviously in the middle of remodeling rooms. So there was the normal materials (inside and outside) and debris. Our tv service was cut off for most of one day. This was very inconvenient. Breakfast was above average (food choices and plenty of seating).

Room was fine. Hotel was quiet which was nice. Breakfast was decent. Staff was good but they definitely need a person to staff just the dining room for breakfast. Girl who was at the front desk was having to keep the breakfast food filled up and check people out. Too much for one person.
