Our stay at the guest house was very good - Michelle was very helpful and even lent us a brolly to cope with the lovely lakes weather ☺️ The room was very clean and more than ample for our one night stay Would highly recommended a stay here The only disappointment was there isn’t any parking as stated on hotels.com site - just street parking wherever you can find a space

Lovely stay in the dog friendly deluxe room. Very comfortable, clean and well decorated room. The room has it's own parking space and is only about 10 minutes walk down to the centre of Bowness. Hosts are very friendly but leave you to enjoy the room in peace with the proviso that they are only a message away should you need anything. They are happy to provide any information on the local area required. They even provide dog bed, bowls and towel though we had brought our own. We will definitely be returning to this gem.

A beautiful little room tucked away at the top of bowness, nice and quiet and perfectly situated to get into town. Michelle was wonderful making sure everything was ok with our stay and our dog was very well catered for with treats, bowls and a bed provided!

Incredible stay, our hosts were fantastic and made us feel really welcome. We’re just sad we didn’t stay longer! Room is finished to a high standard and just utterly spotless. All of the little touches were appreciated, even a booklet with information of the local area with food menus. We can’t wait to come back.

We cannot recommend Bowness Guest House enough & we will absolutely be returning! Upon arrival we received a very personal check in - we were shown to our room & given an overview of the room facilities, the hosts took their time to chat to us and gave us recommendations of where is good to eat / drink in Bowness! Our room was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities you would need for a weekend away. The tea / coffee making facilities were a lovely touch & we were provided with an ice cold bottle of water on arrival. Genuinely cannot fault at all - a 5 star from me!

The stay at Bowness guest house couldn't have been any better. A long weekend away in the lakes. Lovely accommodation with very friendly and knowledgable owners. Great location and close to shops, cafes and restaurants etc.
A long weekend away in the lakes. Lovely accommodation with very friendly and knowledgable owners. Great location and close to shops, cafes and restaurants etc.

Should have checked my booking more accurately, especially re Room only. Would prefer B&B but it was a lovely place to stay, most welcoming and Rhian and I had had a busy and enjoyable few days, visiting the Beatrix Potter Attraction, the Lakeside Aquarium, undertaking a Lake cruise, visited the Lakeland Motor Museum and at beautiful and sunny (on the day) Keswick, the Derwent Pencil Museum. All within 20 miles!

Close to the Dales Way endpoint, pubs and restaurants. A real haven, extremely comfortable bed and room. Much needed after our final leg of the Dales Way. Lovely, friendly hosts.

Incredible stay, our hosts were fantastic and made us feel really welcome. We’re just sad we didn’t stay longer! Room is finished to a high standard and just utterly spotless. All of the little touches were appreciated, even a booklet with information of the local area with food menus. We can’t wait to come back.

A perfect stay in the dog friendly room. Parking space was a bonus and the room was presented really well with everything we could want/need. We were able to check in a little earlier due to our room being ready and this was communicated to us promptly. Really well located for all local amenities and would definitely stay again

Bernard and Michelle were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and good facilities. Quiet location but very handy to shops, restaurants and transport. If we were ever back in Bowness we would be happy to stay there again.

A lovely two night stay again! This was our second time at Bowness Guest House and it was exactly as we remembered, everything we needed and absolutely spotless. So much more personal than a hotel - 10/10 hosts.
