Piraeus Theoxenia Hotel

All went well Staff was great and friendly Rooms were very clean, spacious and has very comfortable beds, and lots up closet space. Breakfast was truly amazing; there's a great fresh variety of a hot and cold buffet and they also offer many different varieties of coffee. My husband and I truly enjoyed their amazing Cappuccino's and Espresso's. There's a nice pool on their terrace with a spectacular breathtaking view of the cruise port, Piraeus and Athens. Only disappointment is that the Hotel needs a simple paint job in all the common areas including the terrace of their pool area. It's clean but truly needs a refacing. The Hotel is very well situated. Walking distance to the cruise port; city center; bus stations, metro, restaurants, stores etc.. etc.. Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back. Thank you so much Piraeus Theoxenia for our great stay.

First unique feature was the parking, had to get into an elevator to get to patking garage, that was a challenge. You need a small car for this. But, very glad it was private and secure. The all inclusive breakfast was extensive; would put any USA hotel to shame. Our room was wonderful and modern, no traffic noise, great blackout curtains. Metro train within walking distance was great. Rooftop swimming pool and sunbeds wonderful on the hot days, also nice and private. Didnt locate the fitness center. What would have been nice is if the hotel would have provided either in room coffee or lobby coffee for guests. The staff are also not familiar with wash/ face cloths. But, the staff did try to accommodate us with extra hand towels as an alternative. The two most outstanding staff members were Visilis on front desk and Kostas in the breakfast dining room. Both these gentlemen went above and beyond and were genuinely friendly.

Very close to port. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The rooftop pool has great views and a super way to cool off.

Et udemærket hotel, men det har ikke karakter af 5-stjerner. Super serviceminded og sødt personale. Værelset var ok, rent og pænt. Hotellet var lidt slidt, pool på taget kedelig og uden hygge. Fitness manglede næsten alle håndvægtene. Hotellet mangler sjæl og charme.

Nicely located in Pireaus, about a half mile from the bay. A little too far to drag a suitcase to the cruise port, but near lots of restaurants and bakeries. Room was nice sized and very quiet, even though we were street side. Nice complimentary breakfast. The shower is a little cobbled together, with a hand held sprayer, but a minor inconvenience. Roof top pool was not heated and the water way too cold to get in to.

Our room was quite dark and tired although comfortable. The room layout was quite odd with wasted space. The bathroom was cramped and when we used the shower the first time, water went everywhere as the shower curtain was shorter than the drop and did not meet the bath! They changed the curtain immediately. There is a small step up into every bathroom which at first I was very wary of. There was no tea/coffee or water (except water from the bathroom tap or gym area) freely available either in the room or in public spaces. You could though buy things from the minibar or bar. I bought a coffee at the bar and the waiter was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent although the hot food was often only warm but the staff were friendly and efficient. We used the pool a lot, you have to go to reception to get towels then back up to the roof to the pool. The water was cold but it’s a great facility. When we arrived we asked if it would be possible for a late check out as we weren’t flying out until late at night and had to wait until check out day to find out if it was possible. On asking again we were given an extra hour but told we could stay around the pool, use the open air pool shower and change in the toilets. Not helpful when you have been in the sun all day and you don’t want soaking ‘swimmers’ in your luggage. A private shower in the toilet area, which was very clean, would be perfect. Glad we stayed here, due to the pool, however would not rush back.

Zentrale Lage mit U-Bahn ums Eck, wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer. Frühstücksbuffet war im Preis inklusive, allerdings nicht sehr hochwertig. Pool auf dem Dach ist zwar an sich toll, aber alles etwas verwahrlost. Insgesamt hatten wir aber einen angenehmen Aufenthalt

Having access to secure parking was very important.

Mycket bra service, trevlig personal. Bra frukost. Bra att man kan streama till TVn på hotelleummet. Bristande städning i badrummet där det var kvar märken av tvål eller liknande runt handfat, hårstrån på golv och dusch. Bristande städning runt poolområde.

I would not rate this a 5 star hotel, maybe 2 at best! Looks nothing like the pictures. Our room had mold in the bathroom, it’s so noisy with the plumbing clanking around every time someone uses the washroom, you can hear full conversation word for word from the rooms all around you and it just over all felt dirty. The bathrooms didn’t even have outlets for us woman to plug a hair straightener into. We shared a cab to the airport with another guest and they had nothing but compliments as well!

Ich weiß nicht was an diesem Hotel 5 Sterne sein soll. Hotel ist total abgewohnt, die Möbel im Zimmer stehen so wie der Zustand ist wahrscheinlich schon 2 Jahrzente. Das Bad macht mir einen Eindruck als wäre es aus den 80ziger Jahre, hat sogar noch einen Duschvorhang, der aber zu kurz geraten ist, die Lichtschalter sind gelb und spröde da das Plastik wahrscheinlich auch noch von der Erlffnung des Hotels sind. An Abreisenorgen ist mir ein Ring unter das Bett gerollt….war total versaut darunter, da war Monate kein Wischmop mehr. Die Steigerung war das Frühstück, erstmal kein Platz bekommen, gut kann passieren, kein Kaffeeautomat, kaffe gab es nur aus dem Fass, keinerlei Wurst oder Käse Aufschnitte. Rührei war nur eklig, alleine die Konsistenz, brotauswahl beschränke sich auf Toast. Zum Glück nur eine Nacht. Waren drei Nächte vorher in einem 2Sterne Hotel, dies war um Längen besser. Einmal und nie wieder.

At the breakfast, there were bacon and sausages, which I don't eat, but not fresh fruit. The tiny swimming pool was filthy with seagull poop.

Convenient location close to restaurants and shops. The hotel need some updates. Mattress was to soft, old. Coming areas and elevator dirty. The staff very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was phenomenal. The only issue I had with air conditioning vents. It was located right across from the bad. Wnen laying in the bad, the cold air was blowing right in my head. For one night was good enough.

Resepsjonisten var hjelpsom og veldig hyggelig, vi var på rommet vårt tidlig tre timer før innsjekking. Rommet vårt var skinnende rent.

Location is good, 10 minutes to ferry and train station. Area is decent, a lil rough in some parts but safe. Property is nice from outside and lobby. Rooms are pretty good. Carpets in common area were filthy, not acceotable fir a 4 or 5 star hotel. Our view was not very good, abandoned buildings. There was also a noise that was ongoing, all night and dat, and it was pretty loud. Machine room maybe? No parking either, thankfully found street parking. All in all i expect better from a 4/5 star hotel.

The only thing about this hotel I don't believe its a 5 star hotel. A 5 Star hotel has robes and also should provide free water bottles like all 4 star and 5 star offer. The quality of the rooms are not 5 star standards.

This 5star hotel didn't live upto my expectations. The room was neat but lacked simple amenities like a coffee maker. Bottled water was only available in the minibar and costed 2Euro per bottle!

Convenient to take a ferry next day. The room was very clean, although rather small. The bathroom was spacious. There was no coffee maker at home, and we could not make any hot drink.

Spacious room with comfortable bed. Good toiletries. Very spotty internet and no in-room coffee facilities. HVAC inoperative.

Use this hotel often , though many years. Rooms are not new. But good size, and staff there are very helpfull, can only say good things about this hotel

Liked the property. The only drawback is we purchased a Jr suite the bathtub was shown in the add as a deep spacious hot tub for two people. Standing up my feet barely fit in. The balcony had no chairs or sitting area. At least if the tub fit one person i would score a 5 star. I still would go back and stay just request a full tub for at least one person.

Terrible hotel room. A room with separate beds was requested at least a month in advance, however, our flight to Athens was delayed 6 hours causing us to get to the hotel 7 hours later than expected and upon arrival a room with two beds was not available. The staff working at that time gave us a room and said that we could separate the king bed into two twins on our own and he would give us linen. This was not what we wanted to do after traveling all day and having a 7 hour delay that was unexpected. The toilet in our room was broken and. Leaking and freaked like urine. It was terrible and the air conditioning kept things very cold, too cold at times, and it blew the smell of the urine coming from the bathroom around the room. If air was turned off it hit too hot. TV did not really work and had limited channels. The area of the hotel was very run down and graffiti everywhere. The hotel is in a good location as it is close to the cruise terminal, but if not going on a cruise I would it stay there. Even if going on a cruise staying in Athens city or Plaka area is better.

The staff went above and beyond for us. When we told them that we would be checked out before breakfast, they had sandwiches waiting for us as we left.

i didn't find the staff to be very friendly. one night we came in late and asked the front desk for a water and they denied us and said to take it from the room bar which we were then charged for.

This hotel was exactly what we needed for a one night stay pre cruise. It was close to the port and the customer service at the hotel was phenomenal!!!! The check in was exceptional and the guy who checked us in (sorry didn’t get his name) was so helpful with restaurant recommendations and g

We stayed at this hotel for two nights prior to taking a cruise. The hotel was perfectly located for this. The staff were most accommodating. Would recommend this hotel.

The staff was very accommodating. They responded to our requests promptly and even made sandwiches for us before catching the ferry. We were impressed.

Well priced. Staff was helpful and courteous. On-site restaurant was very good. Hotel could use a refresh as it was a bit dated. Rooms were small and local had a bit to be desired.

This hotel is close to the subway and to the ferry. There was a taxi strike on the day we were going to take the ferry. The location is great for folks who plan to take the ferry or the subway. The subway was a great way to get to/from the airport. Breakfast was included so we wasted no time. We will stay here again on our next visit.

Location near the main Port and shops. Lots of great local restaurants nearby.

Very convenient location if you have a Cruise

This is a very well-maintained hotel in a good location in Piraeus. It is a convenient walk to the metro that takes you directly to central Athens, as well as to the tram to Glyfada. If you are going on a cruise, your room may overlook the cruise ship and, again, the distance to the terminal is convenient. The breakfast is certainly ample enough, it cannot compare to a similar hotel in, say, Germany, Sweden, or Denmark. Then again, that is to put too high a bar in the comparison. It it listed as five-star. I fail to see the difference relative an ordinary four-star hotel. The main effect of the additional star is to bump up the per-night tourist tax.

We are super happy with the staff and friendliness however this is not a 5 star luxury hotel. It’s outdated. Furnishings are old the pool is old and in bad condition and cold. pictures online must be 10 years old or more. Beds are old style. I don’t think the pool or restaurant here qualify this as 5 star luxury and the area is terrible and rundown. Convenient for boat trip but really rundown and derelict

Such a beautiful quiet hotel. Perfectly located to walk around town and close enough to walk from the port.

This is a great hotel, that really stands out in the neighborhood. The area feels a little sketchy, but it's not, the location is terrific for access the Metro Dimotiko Theatro station. It's about a 5 minute walk. Getting to the port is about a 1 km walk, so we just took the metro

Convenient location for boarding a cruise ship in Piraeus. Lovely rooftop with pool and great views. Excellent Italian restaurant in hotel - extremely accomodating with dietary issues.

The staff was friendly and efficient. The food in the restaurant was very good.

The rooms were clean and the staff very helpful. We had supper in the restaurant and it was delicious. The weather was hot and we appreciated having a pool on the roof. It has a great view from the pool deck. A good place to stay when taking any boat trips from Piraeus.

The staff was super helpful and with advised us of many tourist options. Breakfast offered lots of variety however could have been hotter. (Cool eggs.) We could walk to hop on hop off bus and view from top deck pool...amazing. if i ever come back would stay again for sure

Good hotel but not good dining.

Limited dinning staff! Waiter seem to be upset, stressed, overwhelmed, and took it out over us. He was not happy man. Hope he has better days. All other stall members were great!
