Stayed 3 nights

Lovely staff who are not always on the premises once the restaurant closes. They leave you with a code to get through the doors at the back of the restaurant. The room itself was adequate but hot water, tea and coffee and toiletries were sparse. The bed was comfortable but the pillows gave me a very stiff neck. It was ok for the three nights we stayed and the price we paid, but I wouldn’t stay again which is a shame because it was in a quiet location and the man who showed us to our room was very nice. It desperately needs modernising and upgrading.

We arrived early and were graciously welcomed to check in before our scheduled timed. Easy & personal check in, Uber-accessible to city center (5-7 minutes) quiet, and safe location. Very nice and accommodating local business.

A no-frills option and cheaper than most accommodation in Durham. Property is tired with some damage to fixtures and fittings including the door jamb, and could do with a renovation and/or deep clean. Car parking is free and convenient, and staff were helpful when there. Conveniently located within walking distance of a retail park for breakfast options.

There was no breakfast available despite the description stating there was. The bath had no plug & the electric shower was very temperamental (from cold to scalding). The decor left a lot to be desired with nails/screws sticking out of the walls. There wasn’t a TV in each room & bedroom furniture was unstable.
