We had a short but very sweet weekend in Austin, with the Fairmont as our home base. We did the gold package, and it was worth every penny! The staff was friendly, the Gold Lounge was stocked with great snacks and drinks, and the gym was very nice with a great mix of cardio and weight options. The bed was very comfortable, and overall it was truly a pleasurable stay.

The hotel rooms and staff were wonderful. From the valets, to front desk, to bellmen, to cleaning staff, they were friendly and attentive. We stayed in the Gold area, which had its own lounge with complimentary breakfast, snacks, appetizers and desserts. Food was great and the view was nice. Room was well appointed with comfy beds and a nice bathroom. There is a lot of construction going, which did cause some degree of noise even on the 35th floor and the room surrounding the hotel is a bit sketchy with panhandlers, etc. The only negative about the hotel property was the pool area. The pool itself was nice but the pool deck was cluttered with used towels, empty glasses, food wrappers, etc. with no one (apparently) tasked with cleaning them up. We arrived to find all but a few chairs occupied by used, wet towels from since-departed swimmers. No one offered us drinks or anything either, which seemed odd given how nice the hotel is.

My wife was at a conference and my wife was there all day by herself. The first full day she was at the pool and there was little service - no umbrellas put up, food was left by her chaise, had to ask where to get food, etc. Booked an all day spa experience and found it to be very crowded and dirty. Cleaning service was good after she called them.

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Easy to park. Friendly staff with great customer service. They have really good recommendations if you don’t have plans for the day. The rooftop pool is awesome! It’s not crowded before 11 or after 6. During service hours, you just have to get there early for a chair. The food is amazing whether it’s by the pool, room service, gold lounge, or the restaurants. We would stay again in a heartbeat

Everything was great- the gold experience was totally worth it. The private concierge, the breakfast and lounge access were fantastic. The room was very clean and pleasant. The spa was ok- nothing special in terms of the service quality.

The staff was amazing and the Gold experience was phenomenal. Every staff member provided excellent services and even went above and beyond to make clients happy! Will definitely be returning for this experience! We used the gym, which was kept clean and restocked for towels, etc. We used the pool and hot tub one day but it would have been great if there was pool side service.

The service level in the lobby bar at lunch was terrible 30 -minutes to get service. The Air conditioning is set to go off in the middle of the night and had a minimum of 65 degrees. There are way too many obvious cost saving steps that they have taken like the automated service lines rather than a real person, all these steps have seriously damaged what used to be a very high-quality brand

If you've never stayed in a Fairmont Gold property you're missing out. It's basically a hotel within a hotel. You get your own dedicated check in desk with dedicated staff. You have a lounge to access with free beverages including an honor bar system where you can make your own drinks. You get breakfast and snacks included too. I had a king room with a city view. There is a lot of construction going on around the property so be aware of that. My room was very clean and the staff was very nice. If I had a nitpick it would be that it took a long time for the hot water to come on in my room. Like a good 5 minutes. I was on the 34th floor. I mention this because the property seems fairly new. In San Francisco I stay at the St. Francis and I haven't ever had that issue. Other than that very nice property.

As always, I enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Gold level. The staff are all so wonderful and welcoming. My number one place to stay in Austin!

We had a great stay here the first time about a month ago, this time was a little disappointing. Excluding the bartender Austin at Rules and Regs, and excluding the check in staff at the Gold Lounge, the service everywhere else was not great. The lobby bartenders/servers and the lady at Good Times was really not warm, welcoming or friendly at all. Almost like we were bothering them for being there. We also asked the concierge if they had some chips because they did the last time and she told me no but I could purchase snacks in my room. Minor thing but still off-putting. We had the complete opposite experience the first time we stayed here where the staff and service everywhere was excellent so just really a let down especially for the price point of a hotel like this. The property itself is beautiful and has great amenities and the gold experience is nice but we are reconsidering having this place as our go to Austin hotel.

Our family had an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a hiccup with the valet. One of valet left our car's accessories button on and the battery was drained. Luckily we had a jumper pack and got it started. Despite the inconvenience we had a really great ti.e and would be back.

The staff was amazing and the Gold experience was phenomenal. Every staff member provided excellent services and even went above and beyond to make clients happy! Will definitely be returning for this experience! We used the gym, which was kept clean and restocked for towels, etc. We used the pool and hot tub one day but it would have been great if there was pool side service.

The hotel rooms and staff were wonderful. From the valets, to front desk, to bellmen, to cleaning staff, they were friendly and attentive. We stayed in the Gold area, which had its own lounge with complimentary breakfast, snacks, appetizers and desserts. Food was great and the view was nice. Room was well appointed with comfy beds and a nice bathroom. There is a lot of construction going, which did cause some degree of noise even on the 35th floor and the room surrounding the hotel is a bit sketchy with panhandlers, etc. The only negative about the hotel property was the pool area. The pool itself was nice but the pool deck was cluttered with used towels, empty glasses, food wrappers, etc. with no one (apparently) tasked with cleaning them up. We arrived to find all but a few chairs occupied by used, wet towels from since-departed swimmers. No one offered us drinks or anything either, which seemed odd given how nice the hotel is.

Wonderful hotel right downtown next to convention center. The gold experience was excellent. Check in was fast, great breakfast and attentive staff. Room was spacious and clean. Looking forward to our next stay there with warmer weather to take advantage of the pool.

If you've never stayed in a Fairmont Gold property you're missing out. It's basically a hotel within a hotel. You get your own dedicated check in desk with dedicated staff. You have a lounge to access with free beverages including an honor bar system where you can make your own drinks. You get breakfast and snacks included too. I had a king room with a city view. There is a lot of construction going on around the property so be aware of that. My room was very clean and the staff was very nice. If I had a nitpick it would be that it took a long time for the hot water to come on in my room. Like a good 5 minutes. I was on the 34th floor. I mention this because the property seems fairly new. In San Francisco I stay at the St. Francis and I haven't ever had that issue. Other than that very nice property.

Very nice hotel, staff was outstanding ! Loved the way it was decorated for Christmas especially when having drinks in the bar area and totally enjoyed the Lounge for the Gold Experience. Wonderful breakfast, snacks,and desserts!

Best hotel experience I've ever had. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The food and beverages in the Gold room were amazing. Honeatly, I'm now spoiled for hotels. The bar has been raised so high, I can't bear anything less in the future.

Everything was great- the gold experience was totally worth it. The private concierge, the breakfast and lounge access were fantastic. The room was very clean and pleasant. The spa was ok- nothing special in terms of the service quality.

We’re pretty regular guests, this time was disappointing. The service, even as a gold experience guest wasn’t as anticipated. The selection in the club left a lot to be desired and the quality of the food was lacking. I’m not sure if we’ll be back.

Overall it was good despite of old building. But I found two spots of blood on Duvet and felt terrible. The staff in the lounge were good, but the hotel needs to replace the lady at front desk. I felt she didn't emphasize with how customers feel. Also, Valet system and traffic around the hotel was so bad.

Our stay at The Fairmont Hotel with The Gold Experience was simply AMAZING. Welcoming staff from valet to front desk and room service was Fantastic! Oh and about The Gold Experience… it made our 12yr old twin sons feel like we were celebrities! Starting off the day with an included breakfast.. We could grab snacks/beverages plus much more anytime throughout the day. And with very helpful/pleasant staff at The Gold Lounge.. one twin even quipped “Can we stay here all day and forget about exploring Austin”lol.. and they hadn’t even seen the pool!! Stepping outside onto the 7th floor rooftop was pure magnificence. 2 pools with one looking like it was half the size of a city pool. We definitely wouldn’t be packed in there like sardines like at many other hotels! 5 Star Rating? I give it 10 Stars.. it’s Highly Recommended!!
