The property would benefit from a higher maintenance. For instance the "new" restaurant is not even finished. This hotel used to be "fresher and neater" . Staff is always friendly, helpful and efficient.

I just stayed for one day but will return. The room was spacious and clean with AC and comfortable bed. Excellent mountain view! There’s a really nice pool also. There’s a very famous pizza restaurant at the property so perhaps at night could get a bit loud, but it’s low noise so I didn’t mind. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Got to meet the owner also so that was a plus😀

One of the beds in the room the springs were broken and hitting the platform under it. The air conditioning wasn’t adjustable only one fan speed, toilet paper holder was broken. Cheap pillows, we have stayed at this property before several times and it’s showing decline. They are always working on the pool and always there’s construction. No noise limitations we had to take a handicap room that was off the pool and people talked in and conversation all night long. The only thing going for this place is the location in Santa Anna is pretty good. The staff also seem not to care anymore. I think that’s our last stay at hotel Louisiana although we’ve been going there for over 10 years.

-Gave a 73 year old "mayor de edad" a room on a 3rd floor WALKUP. Ivan the manager refused to change to a lower floor unless i paid an addtl $250 ! - Sink hot water not working. Maintenance explained have to turn on shower hot water to get sink hot water! - Tremendous amount of machine noise at night ! - Dont bother with the restaurant unless you are comfortable spending $100-200 for either breakfast, lunch or dinner per couple.

Staying at Luisiana is like flying low cost. Upon arrival there was no one able to help bring the luggage to my rm on 3rd floor, i was alone with my young son and it was pretty challenging dealing with all. In our room there was a safety box but they had no key or code for it. Towels were not enough. The bed was good and room was clean.

Kind of noisy in the night, but then again, a lot of hotels are! Also, the hot water is very "iffy". Had to pay $11 per night for an extra car. All that said, I have gone there for many years, and plan on coming back for more. It is great for a budget-priced hotel, and everyone is super diligent and nice!

At the moment of check in, they asked for a deposit, but when I made the reservation it was not expected. Also in the property information there is no “time” for pool closing! I arrived around 9 pm and they told me I couldn’t use it because it was already closed

The room was filthy. Mold in the shower and shower curtains. Moulding around the doors was full of grime. Also the room (and other rooms in the vicinity as our friends were across from us) was located near the A/C system for the building, so although we had the A/C off during the night there was continuous noise w units turning on and off with loud metallic banging. When we asked to change rooms they claimed they had nothing to offer….

We were given a room that has a moldy ceiling and the whole room smelled moldy. It was unacceptable for this hotel to give a guest a moldy room. Checked out after being in the room for almost an hour because of the smell.

The property is need of better management, front desk and kitchen included. The soap they gave in the hotel is close to water so you don’t really feel clean using it. Staff forgets to clean the room.

Room smells bad, like it has been smoked in and the moldy/smoke smell is just stuck in the walls or mattress. Really bad slept with windows open. Room 211, second time in this room and sheets were worn and not so fresh looking.

Our room was the least expensive and it showed. The bed was uncomfortable, the noise all night kept me up. Road and some sort of a compressor pressurizing over and over all night. Excessively loud, ridiculous really. I rarely bother with reviews though this room was up there with the worst.

Lovely private and quiet place, but obvious broken window lock and broken door lock were a bit alarming rendering the room completely insecure. Also no access to room safe. When questioned, the Office said, 'gee, sorry.' No followup. Also no hand towels. Sadly, no breakfast, but we were already aware of that.

The room was good, i recommend better pillows and a different toilet that actually flush faster. The shower has a weird handles that is difficult to operate at first. The cable TV is of low quality, the imege is poor, a better cable quality is recommended.

This is advertised as a 4 star hotel this is more like a 2 star hotel. Everything needs upgrading as it is in a poor state. I complained to Hotels.com but they couldn't help. The room did look similar to the one on the site BUT The mattress was LUMPY and very uncomfortable!

Really far from airport.Looks run down .No VIP amenities per Expedia .AC leaked all over the floor during the night .Could tell it happened before since there was some wood rot.Shower handle loose .Room decor very average .price was good

We arrived at 5:30 pm and our room was not ready. Asked to leave a $50 cash deposit. Next morning they claimed we drank from the mini bar which we hadn’t. Made us wait while they sorted this out. All and all a crappy stay.

This is our “go to” hotel when we go to the San Jose area. They’re like a 2nd family now. Any issues I might have with the room are addressed in a timely manner. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. We feel safe there.

This was a pleasant place to stay. I was here for one evening and found it to be all I expected. The breakfast was good and hearty and staff were very sweet and patient with poor Spanish. There is a supermarket down hill and neighborhood feels safe quiet. Recommend.

Fine for a cheap shopping trip to SJ, but not in a great area, and very basic accom. The discount was presented at 75% off. Marketing scam only. The $50 room is indeed a $50 room. Staff was great. Our meal in their pizza restaurant cost more than the room, but we were not going to walk anywhere to find a more affordable option.

2nd time staying at this hotel (last visit was more than 5 years ago). Nice to see the hotel has expanded but some of the rooms are showing their age - time for a remodel. Restaurant was great, Gallo Pinto was delicious and the staff was very friendly!
