Quality Inn & Suites Lufkin

The room was clean. The A/C worked amazing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the sheets and blankets had burn holes in them. I choose a smoking room so I’ll take half the blame that’s what I get. At the same time if you allow smoking rooms then you should be prepared to throw a lot of linens away and not make other customers use sheets and blankets that others burned. Just because I am a smoker doesn’t mean I want to use linens that clearly needed to be thrown away. I would have understood if there were only a couple small spots that could have been overlooked but that was the case by any means. Both sheets and blanket had multiple burn holes, a couple of them being very large spots. There was no way possible that housekeeping could have overlooked them by accident while making the bed.

We had. booked for 2 nights, but when we entered the room, we were hit with an unpleasant smell. The fixtures, carpet and furnishings were old. We called the front desk and asked them to cancel the second night, which they kindly said they would and even verified it when checking out. Two weeks later we received our CC statement and found we were charged for both nights. We had gone through a third party to book and they tried to get confirmation of the cancellation so they could facilitate the refund, but the motel refused. Poor, poor quality at the "Quality Inn"

The bed was soft but at a angle that higher at the foot than the head.

The property appeared to have long term tenants with cat worn curtains, smokers the rooms were nothing like the pictures so I’m not sure why they needed a card for damages.

We checked in around 9pm, get to room only to find out you can't turn on TV. We tried to call front desk but phone didn't work. Went to front desk and were told they had to come to our room to turn on TV. After they he left room we realized you can't turn up volume. Either you turn off air to hear TV or just watch screen with no sound. After a long drive i just wanted tovwatch TV to unwind sobi could sleep. Next morning guess what? They had to come back to our room to turn TV back on. This was after an uncomfortable night with the air not getting room cooled down. Awful experience. I asked why they wouldn't just give us the remote, they said to many being stolen. I asked why they wouldn't charge deposit for it. Was advised owner didn't want to do that. What? I've never experienced anything like this before.
