Although no elevator and parking is off-site ( still very convenient, safe and well lit with security cameras), the staff and the ambiance of the building alone make up for it. Very close (10min stroll) to a variety of restaurants and bistros. 30 mins from Old Montreal on foot. Will be my future go to when I am in town. Highly recommend

This is a lovely and quaint inn. The room, bed, and bath we’re comfortable and clean. The included breakfast foods were extensive and fresh. The one drawback is the lack of on-site or valet parking.

Stay in a lovely preserved piece of history. Magnificent first floor where you enter with all wood. Beautiful living room area with bay windows looking onto the street. I was greeted by a warmly reception woman and felt genuinely cared about throughout my one night stay. My room was a two floor walk up ( no elevator). It was large enough and was neat and spotlessly clean with a modern bathroom. Many restaurants within a 5 minute walk in a safe neighborhood. Breakfast was generous in selection of food. All in all I was very happy with my stay and thought it was a fine value. The main bus terminal is an easy ten minute walk.

It's a quaint little property at a fantastic price. It's located within walking distance of many of the big attractions of Montreal, and within a couple minutes of the Sherbrooke metro stop. Their morning breakfast is simple, but delicious. The staff was super friendly and personable. The rooms had A/C units to help you cool down after a long day of walking. They even have this digital wine machine in the lobby so you can enjoy at your leisure in the evening. My single room didn't have a private bathroom - but I believe that is an issue with Expedia not properly listing the description (most rooms have them - and it wasn't an issue for a solo traveler like myself). I would absolutely come back for another visit.

The staff at Manoir Sherbrooke were great. They were very attentive and were just pleasant during every interaction. The hotel is a little dated, but in a charming way - similar to a bed and breakfast. The building itself is historic and still has its charm. We visited for a 3-day weekend during JazzFest and the location was absolutely perfect. Parking was a bit tricky, so I would suggest figuring that out beforehand.

Lovely place in a convenient area of Montreal. Staff was great. Rooms are great. Easy to walk to cafes, Mt Royal, Subway. There is not parking at the hotel other than short term metered parking on Sherbrooke but there is a long-term parking garage within a block and suggest parking you vehicle and taking public transportation, Uber, or walking as much as possible.

We did enjoy our stay BUT for seniors in their 80's the off property parking was not easy. Yes it was just over 1/2 km walk BUT getting out of the garage was a joke as the pedestrian door was locked and had to walk up the ramp & wait for the door to open. Getting back out needed more instructions of how to use my printed receipt. Getting back to the hotel in my car was very frustrating due to one-way streets and construction. Perhaps a sheet with information could be handed out at reception?

Such a beautiful property inside and out, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. Coffee/tea available in the comfortable sitting room at any time. We will definitely be back.

Bathroom floor is dirty. Hasn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. Pokey little room on 3rd floor. No elevator to property. Fortunately the receptionist was able to carry suitcases up the stairs for us. Not impressed at all.

The room was very clean, well designed, comfortable, and roomy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. 24 hour coffee and tea was very nice and the location was very close to many shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Had a slight issue the first night of my 3 night stay with a poorly cleaned bathroom but this was addressed and quickly remedied without issue. The staff was pleasant overall and the breakfast lounge staff were extremely friendly. They were outstanding and very welcoming. The breakfast food options were very nice and the coffee was actually excellent. I enjoyed the variety of good quality bread options. Finally the bed was very comfortable.

We left this property and at 9:00 at night moved to Softel Hotel, also on Sherbrooke. This property had dust on the tops of furniture which made one wonder about the quality of the cleaning. The tub was badly stained and looked dirty(uninviting at the very least). The bathroom door had a crack in the veneer surface. The hallway carpets were frayed. The room was generally run down and implied poor upkeep/maintenance aka substandard. While young people might find this property acceptable we, in our 70’s with our experiences and means did not. It must be said that the office staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The desk person gladly helped us carry our large, heavy suitcases up the narrow stairs to our room on the second floor. There is no elevator.

Room was nice and as expected. Staff was nothing short of amazing and extremely helpful. My 4 score is only based on limited breakfast and somewhat dated room which smelt damp. This hotel with AC in the summer would likely have fresher smell but well worth the stay.

Great stay at this hotel for 2 nights. Staff excellent - friendly and helpful.. Breakfast fabulous and fresh. The hotel is quaint and traditional and our room was away from traffic noise but you could easily hear other guests coming and going, not the fault of the hotel at all. However, this meant only a view of a wall and the fire exit. Easy walk into the town and to Mont Royal. Would definitely stay again if in Montreal. Would give 4 & half stars! 😋

Charming older hotel in downtown area. Room was nice but not a great view from windows from the room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was good and access to tea coffee was appreciated. Wasnt too fond of area but would stay there again in a room with a better view, I felt safe and easy access to where i wanted to go and to metro. For price it would have been great to have a bit more hotel amenities. But it is an older hotel and the charm was very representative of Montreal.

Stayed for two nights in a single room on the third floor (no elevator). Room was clean and quiet and had everything I needed. After some confusion about how to work the thermostat, the room was a pleasant temperature. The price offered value for money, and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was limited, but it was a welcome addition. I would happily stay here again.

We wanted to stay in a quaint , character, hotel, and that is just what we found. The bedroom was small, but very well appointed, and the bathroom was large and beautifully renovated. additionally, the self-serve breakfast was excellent.

A lovely place to stay! Very clean and accommodating. However, being on the 3rd floor, my room was VERY warm and I had no way of adjusting temperature in the old house. And unable to open window to let in some cold air. Did not sleep well due to the very warm room. Other than that, a lovely place!

The hotel was super cute. Loved the vibe. The bed was so incredibly firm I felt like my hips were bruised when I woke up. That’s personal preference though. We stayed in the middle of winter but inside was cozy warm. Everyone was friendly and very helpful.

Hotel was incredibly charming, breakfasts were delicious, and the kind staff went way beyond the call of duty, making us a special breakfast at 6 am on the day of our departure--1-1/2 hours before they ordinarily serve breakfast--so that we could catch our morning flight. They also arranged for the taxi to pick us up at 6:30 am.

Stuff was soooo nice and kind, there was a guy working in the reception very kind and he went baying and above to make our stay there memorable. We will definitely come back❤️

Awesome staff! Very helpful and friendly. The reception staff helped us with our luggage--they carried it to and from our room that was located in the basement area. They held our luggage for us on the day of departure. They provided maps and suggestions on where to go and how to get there. The hotel itself is very unique with beautiful woodwork inside.

The staff at Manoir Sherbrooke were great. They were very attentive and were just pleasant during every interaction. The hotel is a little dated, but in a charming way - similar to a bed and breakfast. The building itself is historic and still has its charm. We visited for a 3-day weekend during JazzFest and the location was absolutely perfect. Parking was a bit tricky, so I would suggest figuring that out beforehand.

The person at the front desk was exceptionally nice. When I mentioned not being able to sleep my first evening there because of noises outside of my room, I asked to be moved to another room and he graciously honored the request. I greatly appreciated the effort and was very satisfied with the room change.

Great location - Easy walking distance to most of the city's sites and dining. Also close to several bus stops and 30 walk to train station. The hotel is in a old Victorian style building. However, the AC was cold and my view was nice! I enjoyed the large soaking tub too! The mattress was a bit firm but not too bad. The complimentary breakfast was incredible! Also hot tea and coffee was provided all day long.

What a gem.....right in the middle of the city. It couldn't have been more centrally located. The subway station and bus stops are close. The Latin district is not a far walk with bars and restaurants. The service is wonderful. Everything was top notch. I will stay again when I visit.

All the staff I interacted with were very nice and helpful. The building is a little older so the stairs and hallways creak and can be heard from my room. I had a room facing Rue Sherbrooke and it could get a bit noisy at night - not a fault of the property, just a fact of being in the city. Some earplugs or noise cancelling headphones may be helpful. Old school physical key attached to giant metal keychain for their rooms has its charm, although not the most practical to carry around. I knew what to expect, so it didn’t bother me. Overall satisfied with my visit and would stay there again.

Lovely place in a convenient area of Montreal. Staff was great. Rooms are great. Easy to walk to cafes, Mt Royal, Subway. There is not parking at the hotel other than short term metered parking on Sherbrooke but there is a long-term parking garage within a block and suggest parking you vehicle and taking public transportation, Uber, or walking as much as possible.

This is a lovely and well maitained historic building. Our 2nd floor room was spacious, clean and quiet. The narrow winding stairs have a certain charm but could be tricky for some guests. The breakfast buffet was well laid out, good coffee ( no cresm) fresh fruit, yogurt with assorted toings, a good variety of bread, pasteries and jams. We would have liked more hot options, but everything was fresh and tasty.

We arrived during a snowstorm, but the staff were extremely kind, courteous, accommodating, and helpful! Our room was beautiful and well appointed with a terrific bathroom setup. The free continental breakfast was above and beyond any typical hotel fare! A wide assortment of fresh baked pastries, fruit, breads, eggs, sausage, juices, coffee all served in a strikingly lovely former parlor of this vintage building. The owners and staff are obviously quite proud of their establishment and it shows! Far exceeded our expectations!

The room was lovely and functional...even had wine glasses! The breakfast was not lavish but honestly it exceeded my expectations and was not the usual industrial omelette situation you find at many chain places. Well done. Also enjoyed the location as it was walking distance to many points of interest but also reasonably close to the metro.

No elevators Not a Problem for us Seniors in 80s as Frederic helped w bags and assigned us Deluxe room 2 29. Breaķfast nice varied Continental w Friendly staff. We enjoyed Coffee after on pretty outside flowered garden in Cool Montreal 75 degrees. We walked 30 minutes downhill to Notre Dame later Old Port cruise and restaurants . Took UBER back. Highly Recommend Manoir Sherbrooke and beautifical Safe Montreal. Richard and Darlene Texas.
