Great location to Hollywood blvd and other popular attractions in LA. This hotel is perfect if you’re not going to be inside , there is no amenities or microwave , it’s a good hotel for someone like me who was just in and out and being a tourist .

For one night in Hollywood, It has all the basics you need if you don’t want to take Ubers etc. around town. Easy walking distance to the walk of fame, etc. Only negative is there’s no coffee available and the walls are really thin so you can hear everyone in the hallway.

The hotel is a boutique hotel so if you’re expecting the conveniences of a chain, you will not be happy. The rooms are small and have a vintage feel. The bathroom could use a little updating. They do not have coffee or breakfast anymore. They don’t have an elevator so if you’re handicapped ask to be on the first floor. There is no onsite parking but parking is available around the corner for a fee. All that being said, the bed was extremely comfortable. We stayed in the room that Marilyn Monroe stayed in. It was clean and decor was reminiscent of old Hollywood. The staff was amazing and very friendly. It is in an area that you can walk to just about anything. We never felt unsafe and heard very little street noise during our 3 day stay. My husband and I would stay there again for sure.

First, this is the Hotel Hollywood, not the Hollywood Hotel. Hotel Hollywood written information says parking lot on Yucca between Ivar and Vine. But there is no lot there. It's actually an unsupervised totally open lot at 1426 Cahuenga. No continental breakfast, no coffee, no elevator, no ice machine, no vending machines. No staff over night. Furniture old and need of replacement. But room was generally clean and bed comfortable.

Besides its close location to Hollywood Boulevard, overall we were not satisfied with this hotel. Room was small, bathroom was not a functional space, and sound and noises could be heard throughout the night. Walls seem to be thin, toilet tank was running throughout the night. No alarm clocks in room. No elevators, not recommended for seniors or disabled people. But the cleanliness was the biggest disappointment. No room service was provided to us (7 night stay) unless we asked. This included fixing the bed, vacuuming the carpets, and providing fresh towels. We had to ask TWICE for new towels, and one time we returned to the room to find they were not delivered. Had to bring soiled towels downstairs myself. Not sure what the official cleaning schedule is, but in our 7 nights here no one entered to clean ONCE.

Staff very friendly. Bed was comfortable and it was affordable. I had 2 major issues. First and least importance is the noise. These are very old, out dated rooms that are not insulated. We could hear everything our above neighbors were doing and they were doing it until about 2am. So not alot of qaulity sleep. But the second one made it such that I'd never return. The smell of mildew and mold throughout the building. It was so bad in our room I had a sinus flare up. Just really intolerable. Of you're on a strict budge this place will do but I'd wish I'd paid the 100 or so dollars more for the weekend and stayed somewhere more comfortable

My wife and i travel a lot. This was the second worse hotel I've ever stayed in. First, there was no one there at check in. We had to wait for about 20 minutes for someone to check us in. There was a lady there waiting as well and stated that she was there 20 minutes waiting before we arrived. The room was cold and dingy. Within 5 minutes we saw a cockroach on the wall. There was also a gnat issue in my room. The place wasn't filthy, but it didn't feel clean. I had a window looking out into a bunch of garbage. The restroom windows didn't lock so if someone wanted to climb through they could. The day we left the shower handle snapped off. We weren't able to finish cleaning. This hotel is more of a motel with a high price tag.

The Hotel Hollywood is a very well located and economical choice. We were within a few blocks of everything we were in Hollywood to see. The front desk staff (as well as all of the staff) were very nice and allowed us to check in early. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. AC worked great as well. The area around the hotel was safe - especially compared to other area in Hollywood. We had a great stay and will return if we visit this area again.

Bathroom was old and in need of repair. Smelled like mold. Walls so thin the neighbors conversation kept me up until 3am. No yelling. Sounded like normal talking. Zero privacy.

L We stayed here because we were going to an event at the Hollywood Bowl and wanted to stay close enough to walk. This is a no frills hotel – no elevator (no problem since we were on the second floor) and no parking (we had no trouble finding street parking). Fantastic location, unfortunately that's the best thing about it. Not very safe nearby, not walkable. Noisy and very thin walls. I could see light through the crack in the door and bigger than average gap under the door. The thankfully held my luggage but didn't offer water. Decent place, very average. Nothing special. Wouldn't choose this place again.

The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area and is a short walk to the metro. The rooms are not large but have everything you need. There is a safe and a fridge and the bed is comfortable. The only real negative is the walls are very thin. You can hear people talking in the next room and in the hallways. I had two nights interrupted sleep out of a 3 night stay due to very talkative neighbours. But you could be luckier.

I was given a room that was just remodeled. My first impression was This is very nice and cozy. The room was a perfect size for me. I just love that the staff upon my arrival and departure was always friendly and welcoming. I will return again. The hotel is area close to everything.

Parking was affordable and there were plenty of open meters right across the street, however it was a weekday so on weekends it may be different. Bed was really comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fernando warmly advised me on parking over the phone in route and was kind and generous when greeting me at the front desk. The room was clean and well-tended to, with good light and air flow. I slept well. The history of the building is charming and overall, it feels cared for by those in charge. I will be back to stay at HH next time I go to a show or event in old Hollywood.

This is a very basic property. Few amenities and services. Yet, for our purposes it was fine. Very convenient location to walk to Hollywood bars, restaurants, and attractions. Front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. We did have a first floor accessible room which was by the front door and stairs. There is no elevator. Thus, not unexpectedly, there was a higher noise level than would be expected in other rooms. The morning after our first night there seemed to be a “domestic disturbance” in the room above ours which was loud. However, the occupants vacated the property before the need to engage staff to quell the situation. Given the earlier experience with the staff, I am confident they would have handled it well.

Friendly, quick checkin. Very quite room. Very simple. My only complaint would be the broken blinds in the restroom. I didn't feel comfortable taking a shower knowing the man sitting the patio area could see me. I walked down to Hollywood Blvd. There were a few places to eat across the street. I used the meter parking. Otherwise, there's parking around the corner.

We stayed here for a show at the Hollywood bowl- it was an easy walk there and back. We were so glad to have skipped all the traffic! Room was exactly what you’d expect, mattress was surprisingly really comfortable (a firm memory foam). They did not have coffee or breakfast (the picture must be outdated) but there are a couple cafes within walking distance that are solid. Little grocery market and CVS just across the street.
