Property needed some maintenance - room shower had a large crack in the shower surround, reading light was out on one bed, lights flickered in room (seems like they need upgraded electrical service to the hotel), and bathroom bear pool was out of order. Room itself was large and comfortable and cleaning staff kept the common areas and rooms clean. Pool needed towels and was not restocked. Bathroom inside pool are needed maintenance and stocking but pool was clean and we went swimming. Had several issues with key cards not working and had to go several times to get re-keyed. Breakfast area was kept clean and well stocked and breakfast staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection of hot and cold options and plenty to fill up on. Price was reasonable and the value. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Everyone greeted you wherever you went.

I like that it was very close to the campus and easily walkable. The people were great all around. I don't like being charged $10 a day for parking my car in the hotel lot while I stayed there.

Awesome hotel. The only complaint I had was they only have 2 washers and 2 dryers and one of the washers wasn’t working so it took a little longer to do 3 loads of clothes.

Whoever wrote that they liked breakfast they lied. The choice of food is very limited and very cheap. At 8:00 am there was hardly anything left. Food is not being replenished. The furniture around the hotel, in our room was stained and simply dirty. Black mold in the shower and the door to separate restroom doesn’t close all the way. We didn’t get even half a smile from anyone from the staff. We paid almost $700 for 2 nights and I don’t remember a thing we liked about this hotel. Stay away.

Property was great and our stay was perfect. The only downfall was the room wasnt totally cleaned. There was gatorade and soda bottles left along side bed. Behind nightstand had not been vacuumed there was wrappers and debris. Housekeeping came pounding pretty early. Luckily we were awake. Otherwise its a great hotel.

Stayed here before but will not in future. Horrible air conditioning in room - wasn’t cooling down the room with the window unit. Seems updated to still have units in window. The lobby of hotel was very warm as well so not sure if whole hotel was having air conditioning troubles. The room had not been fully cleaned - found dry cereal on floor in room along the wall. Sheets were very wrinkled as if sat in pile or a dryer for too long. Counter by sink super cracked. All the outlets didn’t work to be able to charge phones. The pull out was dirty so had to pill mattress off to get dirt and all off it. Breakfast last year had more variety than this time. Bar was not open on a Friday night after 10pm in lobby area. Overall will not be back and disappointed this time around.

I loved the affordability, the location, proximity to the zoo, that was the purpose of my visit, may want to consider adding pancakes or waffles to the breakfast options, front desk staff checking in was so pleasant and helpful, wish I had gotten her name. Complaints there was hair in the shower and when I let the sofa sleeper out there was a used q tip and food crumbs

Had reserved a king and was given a queen. Front desk had said they over bookes King rooms which I find odd this day in age with technology. Mirrors were dirty, floor wasnt vacuumed.

the carpets inside the room were extremely dirty. I accidentally dropped a dark colored garment on the floor and picked it up immediately, but it came up with unbelievable amount of dust and lint attached. didn't seem that carpet has ever been vacuumed.

Absolutely loved the room layout! Very classy, but practical. Desk was made as room dividing beds from trundle bed/couch that was the most comfortable couch I’ve ever sat on. Also small kitchenette off to the side, microwave, mini fridge, & coffeemaker. Best of all shower with large sink/prep area was separate from the toilet room with its own sink. Wardrobe had it’s own extra touches. Full length mirror on the outer door, which I’ve never seen. Full ironing board & plenty room for storage. I do wish the room would have gotten cooler when turned all the way down for two days. Also the toilet was super low to the ground. So much so my knees were bent. No way my mother would have been able to get up, was a little difficult for me. All of the staff greeted me, from the maintenance man, to laundry gal, cleaning ladies, breakfast attendants. Really nice touch! The hallways that had a ton of traffic did show on the floors, all areas were well maintained. I would absolutely stay here again!

The staff is wonderful. The rooms are oddly designed, though. The toilet and shower are in separate alcoves with frosted glass sliding doors. If someone gets up to use either alcove at night, the light coming through to the bed is really bright. Additionally, the hotel is on a large road that gets a lot of traffic including trucks. There’s something weird about the vents in the two alcoves that focuses and amplifies the traffic sounds. The trucks are louder in the alcoves then if you’re standing right at the window. Those two issues made it hard to sleep.

Location was great and parking very easy. The front desk staff wasn’t rude but not friendly either. There is a lack of hospitality. A simple smile would improve the service a lot. They need two waffle makers at breakfast. You had to wait 20 min to make a waffle. The lady that was preparing food looked mad and never said a word. She would move between and in front of people at the food counter and never say excuse me. Pillows on bed were flat

I asked for my room to be cleaned after the 1st night there and it didn’t get cleaned until 5pm. I requested for my room to be cleaned again the next day and the supervisor said that they might be able to get to my room. Who tells a customer that? When the cleaning lady came, all she did was take out the trash. She did not pick up any towels or leave any additional towels. I will NOT be staying at this hotel ever again.

Springhill Suites in the Vista is always consistent in their service and quality. Not much has deviated since 8 - 10 years ago when I used to stay here almost on a weekly basis for 3 years. Shirley, who was in charge of the breakfast service during our Masters week stay, was top notch!
