Great location for the O2 arena and a 15 min walk to the Utilita arena. Also for the canal/bars etc. Great reception and comfy seating on first floor. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice. Comfy bed and pillows, clean room & shower. Usually parking available underneath the hotel but this was blocked off on our arrival. Staff informed us that there was an NCP just around the corner which worked well, however it would have been nice to an email to let us know.
Great location for the O2 arena and a 15 min walk to the Utilita arena. Also for the canal/bars etc. Great reception and comfy seating on first floor. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice. Nice little hotel. Car park only has around 12 spaces with almost half being disabled spaces, but we were able to get a space luckily (£16 for 24 hours). We were surprised to see shuffleboard, darts etc inside the lobby area which was cool, and a pool table upstairs. We played electronic darts £6 in the bar which was a nice touch. Reason for less stars is because of the condition of the hotel - carpets and table in room were stained. It was hoovered and wiped etc, but not nice to have filthy looking carpets because of stains etc. Bed was very comfy. Staff were polite although they all need to be trained on the electronic darts, as only 1 person knew how to fix our problem so we had to wait for that. Drinks are expensive at the bar! Overall nice stay and very good location for the centre and o2 academy.

This hotel is currently undergoing refurbishments, so don’t expect a lie in or the ability to think straight with the constant noise happening above your head! Real shame they don’t give people a heads up.

Up and coming area with lots happening,Birmingham as a whole is trying to rebuild post COVID. The motel is working hard to upgrade all facilities, so be prepared for a little noise ( but manageable). Staff were really helpful

I checked in at around 9 pm. You would think that should give them enough time to clean the room but NO. The bin in my bathroom was not emptied (I have pictures and videos). The bin was full with the last occupants rubbish. I mentioned this to one of the staff and she was unbothered. Secondly, my door (room 307) had issues with the lock. I had to push to lock. Failure to do this leaves your room open and unsafe. I also have videos to prove this. Overall, the hotel was a waste of my money.

The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the centre by regular bus service or by walking. The carpet in the room was very shabby and stained - you would expect better from a 4 star hotel. At most this is a three star hotel that needs a makeover

I won't be staying there again. Room was dirty, big stains on the carpet. Bed sheets had a stain on also. In the bathroom the door looked like it had been kicked in at one time. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and I cut my foot on one during the night. Definitely recommend staying somewhere else.

Great location in centre of Brum and a very clean and modern hotel with a good sized room so for the price all seemed well. Staff were friendly and helpful. However on the down sides none of the plugs in my room were working but they gave me a free breakfast - which was excellent as compensation. TV wasn't working either i guess the remote needed new batteries but as there was no way of contacting reception other than going down 6 floors I couldnt be bothered to tell them as I was only staying one night.

As hotel was “full” they were unable to offer an alternative room. Was offered a free breakfast for 2. Aircon not working and was offered a fan instead. Bed was not comfortable and only offered one pillow each. Appreciate the hotel is being renovated and would happily return when completed. For the room price, I shouldn’t complain but would’ve happily paid £40 more for staying in one of the better premium hotels in the area.

Stayed on the hottest day of the year only to find out the rooms have no airc onditioning. I turned up the fan to full only to find out from reception that this was circulating air from outside. So my room ended up being hotter than when I entered. Event the corridor was cooler.

The only bad thing I can say about our stay was that there was only 1 pillow each on the double bed. Normally, in every other hotel I have stayed in, there has either been 2 pillows each or 1 pillow each but 2 spare pillows somewhere in the room. Unfortunately, I didn't find another pillow so I thought it would be ok, however, I woke at 2am with back pain, so had to use a folded towel to put under my pillow, which helped a little.

Room good size - good working area with own light and plugs for charging. Lovely comfy bed. Well located - easy walk from Birmingham New Street Rail Station and close to Tesco express for groceries. Excellent value. Professional, friendly reception. Lovely shower - could switch between rain head or smaller directed head (better if don't want to wash your hair). Well designed room layout - luggage rack etc.. My only minor niggle - had to move the coffee station to a plug close enough for the short cable. Highly recommend.

Couldn’t find the reception when I went in. Receptionist very shy and poor English. Receptionist also working as a barmaid and made a mistake as a result. Got a large glass of wine which was £12.50 and disgusting. Glass was filthy, barmaid noticed and got a new one but the wine was cheap and foul. Miscommunication with room so had to go in and out. Frustrating. Room (apparently being upgraded) worn and dirty. Nice bathroom but room smelly and bleach stains on carpet. Walls badly marked. Couldn’t hear tv over air conditioning. Sheets clean. Hairs and dirt on tables. Was comped breakfast but would not have paid for it, poor quality. Poor security.

The hotel was very modern and cool and the reception area was funky. The only issue was on arrival there was only one member of staff working who had to serve a large round of drinks before checking me in!

Good things first: The hotel is located centrally and close to railway station Things that can be improved: only informed after booking no on site car park available and that there is construction work on going so expect noise till 5.00 pm The rooms were not cleaned not the bed made during my 2 night stay : when asked to the reception staff ( there was only one person at reception managing the bar as well) he informed me that I should have informed him that rooms need a clean I asked him that should be standard practice for rooms to be cleaned in all hotels and that he did not mention to us on the day we checked in ( same guy had checked us in) There was no shower gel in the shower the bottle was empty The standards for customer service were very low Breakfast was ordinary We were 5 in group and had 5 different rooms fkdv2 nights and none of the rooms were done so it was not one off they just don’t clean the rooms if you stay more than one night

Very central and amazing staff! Everyone was so lovely and welcoming. They kept my bag and let me stay in the lobby in the afternoon while waiting for my train. I highly recommend.

We arrived at reception and the most unpleasant member of staff didn’t greet us well at all she didn’t smile nothing we thought this was very rude. Then as we went to our room the ceiling and walls were all satined dusted and dirty chair it was very run down. We got ready for our night out went to the bar for a drink the lady who was at reception was playing the game in the bar and looked at me and said in abrupt manner you ok I said yes thank you are you we then got served by the chap at the bar I had a large wine and my husband a pint this is the funny bit the chap poured my drink into two small glasses one with the smallest of amount because they didn’t have a large wine glasses which we thought was ridiculous. The next morning we was ready for our breakfast which was lovely enough of and the lady who greeted was wonderful and polite so hats off to her you need more staff like that maybe see if she would like the reception job because she was more welcoming than the other lady mentioned earlier.

Really lovely hotel. Staff very friendly. Rooms are nice and simple, although rather hot and unable to cool it down during the night. But saying that didn't spoil the stay. Location is perfect for the city centre and parking at the NCP was right around the corner and good price
Really lovely hotel. Staff very friendly. Rooms are nice and simple, although rather hot and unable to cool it down during the night. But saying that didn't spoil the stay. Location is perfect for the city centre and parking at the NCP was right around the corner and good price

Room good size - good working area with own light and plugs for charging. Lovely comfy bed. Well located - easy walk from Birmingham New Street Rail Station and close to Tesco express for groceries. Excellent value. Professional, friendly reception. Lovely shower - could switch between rain head or smaller directed head (better if don't want to wash your hair). Well designed room layout - luggage rack etc.. My only minor niggle - had to move the coffee station to a plug close enough for the short cable. Highly recommend.

For the price I paid I was presently surprised. The room was big, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only negative point was that the air con didn't seem to be working, it was a very warm night but I just slept without covers.I would definitely stay again Central location not far from the Utilita, just a short Uber ride.

Nice hotel near the city centre. Saw a few comments indicating the surrounding area was dodgy, but this is not what i found. Sure there were a few boarded up shops, but otherwise i felt entirely safe. Hotel was great value for money. The room was comfortable and clean - albeit a little dated, but they appear to be renovating the rooms. Front desk staff were friendly, and when i had an issue with the shower not draining in my room, they helped get that resolved.

The menu at the restaurant can use an improvement. Other than that, spent 3 nights in 2 different rooms. First room stayed 2 nights and no cleaning or towel changing service provided. 3rd night upgraded the room and was happy with it. Restaurant menu very limited. Lounge are quite nice, staff polite, easy parking around. Overall experience 3 out of 5.

Comfortable stay. However, room was without body soap as it was not refilled and body cream was not provided. Thankfully, i walked with my own travel kit. My suggestion is to check and provide these. Breakfast was amazing! Good management of the refurbishment works - minimum impact on guest which is great.
