Handy for the station but property has seen better days. Owners obs doing it up where they can but overpriced for the current run down condition. I knew it was above a nightclub and was warned by the manager again before registering- but the drum and bass was very very loud and vibrated the building. It was clean and I slept. Eventually.

I found the stairs difficult. Not the fault of the hotel but my 84 year old knees. The Saturday Night disco below did not bother me. I was asleep before it started and it did not waken me since my hearing aids were out.

Had a really good night's sleep despite the hotel was part of a nightclub.

I found the concept of this hotel doubling up as a night-club slightly unusual, but don't let that put you off staying here. Far from it, this actually adds to its appeal. The room I was staying in was OK, as I was only there for a couple of nights. So I didn't need a great deal to get by while staying there. It's very easy to get to, because if your traveling to Norwich by train. It's literary five minutes walking distance, also if your on a tight budget like I was do consider putting this hotel on your list. But because it's quite a small hotel, it doesn't have that many rooms. The only issue I did have was that if you need help from the staff, they are not always around. Also if you stay at the hotel during the weekend, do take into account that from 11pm till 3am, is when the night-club opens up. So you might find it hard to get some sleep, but don't let that put you off. Apart from that, it's a lovely little hotel which is worth checking out.

We've stayed here a number of times over many years. It's great if you're out for the night and need somewhere to sleep. Good location, good value, kept clean. Its above a club so probably not ideal if you're looking for an early night.

The hotel is above a bar. If you blink, you will miss the sign. One door, locked, with a bell. We rang and we rang. No reply. So I phoned my daughter who had booked it for us, and she said 'I have another number' which she rang. 'Oh I see you!' came a voice at the other end, and we noticed a discreet camera in the porch ceiling corner! We were let in, but not a good start. The room was very basic but I have to say clean and functional. The electric shower worked but the fitting for the shower head was broken so you had to spray yourself manually to have a decent wash without flooding the place out! The worst though was the noise in the road outside! Anyway, - will not be staying again!

Good value hotel if you don't mind a few things not quite right. Clean.

Broken toilet which they did fix Very noisy. No one ever around to speak to had to leave notes. Kept leaving me with only one towel when guest arrived No hot water in bathroom sink. Smell of cigarettes smoke in bathroom for first couple of days. Duvet was small so when two in bed not both were fully covered. Toilet light too sensitive kept coming on for no reason. WiFi code listed in welcome pack didn't work and couldn't scan QR code using my phone.

No breakfast. Noisy when folk coming and going banging doors. Beds stained many times sheet, mattress and mattress cover, urine i suspect. Felt rushed on entering premises, not that welcoming or polite. But the room okay, clean shower, toilet, toiletries and tea and coffee. Coffee dried milk was awful. Best buy own milk. End of one night, no where other than floor through hatch to throw key.,

Very friendly reception and welcome. Clean bed linen and bathroom. Fresh towels daily. Overall, it needs refurbishment. Great value for money and good location. Street noise was loud but I wasn't bothered by this. Tea and instant coffee provided in the room. Overall, friendly and good value for the price😊

Good, clean room.

Room was really awful. I really wish I had gotten a taxi home in retrospect, rather than staying the night. The hotel owner was thoughtful, and did give advice on checking in after 10 pm, which was helpful. But the accommodation itself is just so unpleasant. Really strong smell of smoke, room is extremely cold and the electric heater is broken (it does turn on, but I have tried multiple settings and it won't produce heat). My clothes still smell of smoke (I don't smoke) after a night in the room. Would like a refund.

You get what you pay for,ok for stopover to get your head down premises were clean

There has been some bad reviews about this hotel, but I had a nice stay, bed was clean and comfy, toilet and shower were OK. For the price I was not expecting much but I was pleasently surprised.

The guy checking was nice. No staff in the morning during check out. Bathroom sink was all cracked. Heating was not great. Noisy outside otherwise it was a good size room. I would go back if I had to be in the area.

A very last minute booking - the owner of the hotel called me offering to leave a key in a safety box. No Air conditioning A single bed that is more relatable to sleeping on concrete. The whole place could do with a update.

Apart from the fact i didnt get a lot of sleep due to the clubs music downstairs. I would of enjoyed my stay if i wasnt kept up half the night

Needs a bigger duvet as was too slim even for a single bed! Excellent location for station and centre. On main road but back rooms very quiet. Busy road with bars and clubs, good shops for essentials and variety restaurants.

WIFI NOT WOKING SECOND NIGHT WHEN TO ROOM FOUND SOMEONE IN THE ROOM THE HOTEL HAD CHANGED MY WITHOUT TELLING ME

This is a great budget option for a short stay in Norwich. We had seen the reviews warning about the noise from the nightclub below so came prepared with earplugs, unfortunately they didn't block the noise. Bed and room were comfortable, probably better for a midweek stay.

Room smells and staff wasnt friendly only came visit deaf friends couldnt socialise much had to go out

Friendly staff, and good value for money. The area is very close to the city center, restaurants, shopping centers. It wasn't the first time I chose this hotel for my staying at Norwich!

-My main problem: very bright automatic (movement responsive) lights in bathroom. I'd rather have no lights and use my torch in the night, for my frequent visits. - It would have saved some anxiety over 2 hours from arrival at 5pm, if we could have spoken to a person at least on phone, to find out when we could get in. Eventually there was a friendly reception.

If you are looking for a budget overnight stay close to the train station for a gig or a show then I would recommend Belmonte. It served that purpose perfectly for me and I would use it again.

I had problems with the kettle intermittently working. Tesco's is almost opposite so vehicles delivering goods and parking up to pop in the store. A good location.

Parking was awkward and the room amenities were very dated but the location of the property was next to loads of clubs and shops, and the room did the job just as intended.. for somewhere to sleep once you’re all partied out!
