Revado Hotel, Norwich City Centre

Parking was on street but seemed a quiet area, had no issues. Staff friendly. I didn’t use the dining room.

I got to the hotel and found out parking was an issue. You have to check your care every 2 hours to avoid a parking ticket. What I was disappointed most was the breakfast we paid for. Continental breakfast means toast, cereal, tea or coffee, and some jam or butter. I was expecting an English hot breakfast.

Small but comfortable room. Check-in easy but parking not available onsite as stated on the website. Public parking a few minutes away. Walking distance to the town and tourist sites.

Comfortable and clean though windows a bit dirty. Also parking an issue, as in Norwich generally, and it was luck that I found the last space in the road.

Amazing staff, super clean room with very comfy bed and only a 15 minute walk from the city centre. They don't have their own car park, but there is free parking on the street during the night and for 2 hours during the day. We arrived at 8.30pm and there unfortunately were no spaces. The manager was so kind and resolved this by giving up his own parking space and a parking permit which we massively appreciated. Not only did the hotel provide tea and coffee facilities in the room, but also fruit juice cartons and a delicious breakfast bar. We will definitely stay there again if we go back to Norwich.

Read other reviews that recommended place, service was pleasant, but the restaurant and bar weren't open on the day we stayed and the breakfast we paid for definitely was not a full english. The twin room we had stank of smoke but was clean otherwise. On the plus side it's very cheap.

Limited parking

The listing for this hotel is deceiving when I searched for hotels in the area I included parking this hotel has restricted on street parking so you can’t go out for the day and leave your vehicle there also asked me if I would like to upgrade for breakfast but didn’t say that the restaurant only caters for vegan/ vegetarian options.now for the actual stay the room was clean but there was signs of damp the furniture was held together with sellotape the bed was uncomfortable and noisy the pillows were wafer thin we were woken in the middle of the night to fellow guest in and out the room then using their bathroom and switching the sockets/switches on and off the next morning thought we would have a shower but alas there was no hot water so couldn’t spoke to reception upon check out but were not very interested or helpful will definitely not recommend or be returning

Fantastic hotel very close to Norwich rail station. Has a lovely veggy Indian restaurant attached and can take drinks up to your room. Rooms very spacious and clean.

Great price and location very clean

I only stayed to put my head down. But was a lovely room. Clean and very tidy, all amenities plus a fan with was need.

It was a nice enough room, but mould in the bathroom, paint peeling off the ceiling due to kettle stream, a badly fitted toilet seat, and a pretty uncomfortable mattress didn’t bode well. For £32 for the night it was ok, but not the best. Oh, and I couldn’t get any channels to work on the tv, so a very boring stay.

This was really poor. The room had stains over the walls and carpet. The room was constantly very warm, we had to use the supplied fan throughout each nights stay. It wasn't possible to have the window open due to disruptive noise outside the hotel. Communal areas had carpets which looked filthy. Breakfast was basically a waste of money. Abysmal. The lack of enthusiasm from the staff was really off-putting. The atmosphere was like a morgue. The only positive being the rooms were serviced on a daily basis to a high standard.

Convenient for train station, but room disappointing. Mould in shower, stains on carpet, uncomfortable bed and no latch on window. In desperate need of renovation. On checking out no one was to be found. Rang bells, knocked on doors and shouted. All to no avail. Would pay a little more elsewhere in future for basic cleanliness and comfort.

A good sized double room which was clean and tidy. However it could best be described as a bit 'tired". There were stains on the carpet, and the top of the desk was held together with sellotape. In the bathroom there was a decent walk in shower, but the heated towel rail didn't work and the plug in the sink was detached and broken. Good quiet location only a five minute walk from the railway station. Didn't have the breakfast or use the attached Indian Restaurant so can't comment on these. Overall their description of the hotel as "Affordable Luxury" is not one I could agree with.

Good hotel and reasonable price, with an Indian feel to it. Nice and clean inside. You can hear the traffic outside some of the time, but its much better than some hotels I've stayed in. The only minor problem I found was checking out in the morning, before 8AM as the reception desk was shuttered closed, and nowhere obvious to put the key, but fortunately there was a man there helping other visitors, so gave the key to him.

I had a nice room, clean, bright and airy. The bathroom was also very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. I liked that the complimentary tea and coffee tray included a couple of juice boxes and brunch bars which was a very nice for a non hot drinks person like me. I did struggle to get the TV to change channels and switch on and off and I couldn't get the WiFi password to work but these were not of great importance to me.

Excellent location near public transport points and easy walk into the city and along the beautiful river. The room was at the top of steep stairs. Not a problem for me, but those with limited mobility would have problems. The room was very clean, however there wasn't a wardrobe only limited shelving. There was also evidence of mold in the en suite. Finally breakfast, the buffet was generally poor. The cooked breakfast was vegan only, no other option. This I felt wasn't acceptable. Customers should have at least the option of eggs. If I were to return to this hotel I would not reserve breakfast. The staff were friendly.

No complementary biscuits, but complementary Orange Juice Cartons. The juice was room temperature and largely undrinkable (no ice machine). Room had no aircon but did have a decent fan.

Nice room clean & tidy. Great shower good pressure, water nice & hot. Everything as it should be.

Our double room was very small and had a very small double bed which was so hard it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. Also there were no mirrors in the room. My wife was not impressed. The internet was impossible to connect to even with the password. Would not stay here again.

Comfortable but very humid at night as no air con.

I can only comment on my room. Although it was a double room, as it was in the roof of the building one person would need to be small to use one side of the bed. There were two windows, one in the sloping ceiling which only opened a fraction and the other you had to stoop low or crawl to get to. Also the bathroom was very tight. Although I knew that breakfast was vegetarian or continental there was very little choice. The continental breakfast when I was there was two choices of cereal, toast and pots of yoghurt. I wouldn't return which is a shame as it's near to the centre, railway, river and choices of eating places.

Thin walls could hear a pin drop from our neighbours and there was a lot of not working things like non working lamps by the bed. Also there was no shower soap in the bathroom and the shower was either hot or cold, hard to find a mix

It was easy to check in, room was nice, shower was powerful. Complimentary tray was a nice touch. However the mattress was hard and you could feel the springs, it was uncomfortable.

This hotel is amazing value for money. It is clean and comfortable and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. We had one issue whilst we we staying but it was sorted straight away and we would stay there again.

The hotel looks like it is going through some major renovations, so hopefully there are improvements on the way. The hotels’s moto is affordable luxury. I can not think of any definition of luxury that applies to this hotel. It’s tired, broken and doesn’t feel clean. The carpets and flooring in our room needing ripping out and burning. Wardrobe door was hanging off. One window didn’t open and the other wouldn’t lock. No toilet seat lid. Shower door was hanging off its hinges. All issues were reported to the man at the reception desk, who seemed more interested in his phone than helping us. On checking in the front of the hotel was fully scaffolded with men working. We were told this wouldn’t affect us, but at 7am on day 2 they started putting up more near our window! On the second night, bright red and green lights constantly flashed outside our window and kept us awake. On inquiring it appeared the receptionist forgot to turn them off. Parking was a problem. The hotel has a few resident parking passes available to rent, but had none left for us. There is a municipal car park at the end of the street that can be paid with through an app. However, you need a UK cellphone to load the app and we didn’t have one. Had dinned in the restaurant - Indian food and highly rated. Our butter chicken tasted like ketchup and cream - worst Indian food ever! See my review elsewhere. I am so glad we didn’t book the breakfast option. No chance I will be returning here.

Noise at crossroad junction from late night traffic. But that is just unfortunate location problem. Auxiliary staff only available at checkout, when I reported back a problem. But she was helpful & noted down. Would have at least appreciated offer of a hand, when struggling upstairs with a heavy case. No feel of welcome on desk. No eye contact with one guy I greeted on evening desk, as he mumbled and stared at the phone/computer desk. Not good.

i booked this for my wife. The room had no lock inside. The manager decided to walk in and tell her she looked beautiful. We are absolutely disgusted. She had to wedge the door shut with a chair

the restaurant was closed paid for breakfast but they never received anything. No one on reception had to ring a bell and they would appear from a house two doors away. would not book this hotel again for business

My second stay at The Revado. An excellent, value for money hotel, which is clean, comfortable and the staff are very welcoming. Hotel is in an excellent location for both Carrow Road and evenings out in Norwich city centre. Would not have any problems booking further stays here in the future and would throughly recommend The Revado.

Was a nice hotel in a good area. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fine. Was about 7 mins from the station and 15 minutes from the centre. The restaurant was nice. Food is vegetarian and vegan

Claims to be 'luxurious ' but by what standards beyond me. Whole place tired, shower door wouldn't shut and breakfast poor quality with indifferent customer service. Appallingly expensive relative to quality. Never again

The tagline for Revado is affordable luxury. Unfortunately that wasn't my experience. I stayed two nights and paid close to £300, though this was maybe because there was a match at Carrow Road. The room was clean enough, warm and had plenty of storage, though the bed was uncomfortable (old mattress with dip in the middle and cheap thin pillows). The blinds didn't block the sun so there was a lot of light coming through in the morning. There were cups and a kettle in the room for tea & coffee making, though these were not refreshed so we had to make tea in dirty cups on the second morning. When we went down for breakfast the server didn't show us to a table or point us to the cereal/toast station. I ordered a "full breakfast" with fruit, this turned out to be two small hash browns, two tiny veggie sausages, a pot of beans, a yoghurt and a small bowl of sliced fruit. On the menu the breakfast was listed to come with more components including an avocado and a tomato salad. We were the last to have breakfast, and during our meal the music was turned off and the server disappeared. We decided to go elsewhere for breakfast the next day.

Room very clean and comfy . People are nice . Everything you want from a hotel . The food in the restaurant was lovely . Nothing at all negative about it .

So glad my friend and I booked a room at Revado for a few nights in Norwich! It is so conveniently located just 5 minutes from the train station, with plenty of bus stops if you don't walk to city center. The room was spacious and clean, and there was a nice little treat tray when we arrived. Staff was so very, very nice. We had just one meal at the Namaste restaurant. I wish we could have had more! It was such an amazing meal! We could sometimes hear guests in other rooms being a little noisy, but sometimes that's just the way it is with older hotels. The area around the hotel doesn't have too much other food options, but plenty in the city. There's a lovely nature preserve (Lion Woods) about 10 minutes away is a break from the urban zone. I'd definitely stay at the Revado again!

I was planning to book in Travelodge Norwich centre, but then read the reviews on this hotel and that it’s a three star hotel made me change my mind and book in it. The photos on the website are much nicer than reality, the hotel is all in all dated, especially the reception and restaurant. Our room was specious and the beds were tidy and clean, but the shower room needed a whole renovation, I tried to open the shower sliding glass curtain, and it fell on me. There was a horrible smell I guess from the shower or the toilet that prevented me from sleeping well. I booked a room with breakfast, and it say full English breakfast, but it turned out that the hotel is vegetarian, so they don’t serve eggs in their breakfast, we went down in the morning and there was no one in the restaurant, we waited for 10 minutes, then someone came to serve us, he was very nice and helpful, but served us with tea/coffee and cooked vegetarian food and left us on our own in the empty restaurant. I don’t recommend booking with breakfast, because it’s not worth it. To bee fair, we saw some people working on the outside dining area, so maybe the owners are refurbishing the hotel.

Terrible hotel did not know it was vegan food and even the Vegan menu was not a complete offering wirh no mushrooms or baked beans, Room 8 was hot, toilet seat broken, torn wallpaper and stains of water on the purple wall, the table with the coffee tray had sellotape holding the vinyl on, to think it cost over £190 for two nights with a bad breakfast was over the top

Great hotel, close to the football stadium and easy access to city centre. Rooms clean and comfortable, some minor areas of room needs redecorating. Bathrooms very clean and good powerful shower. The breakfast is vegetarian, well presented with plenty to eat. The only thing the website and room guide does not mention is breakfast times.
