Wellington Apartments

This is a great apartment to stay in while in Norwich. 1. Very close to train station and city centre. 2. Well equipped kitchen for self-catering. 3. Comfy bed and bathtub. 4. Good wifi so was able to do work. However, 1. In the kitchen area, they should make sure screws are screwed down well to avoid sliced toes. 2. Heater was a bit unpredictable - had to ask for help on first day. 3. There was a lot of light from the street coming through at night and also from the corridor. The apartments are also on a lane that seemed to be a place for noisy, drunk people to walk down. Overall, a great apartment.

Stayed in a well equipped unit. Liked having the kitchen and washer. Would stay again.

Large clean comfortable rooms in a good location. Next to a noisy club, but can only hear if windows are open. Accessibility is good, contact ahead as only two rooms, no lift. Good location for the city. SmartTV in rooms and fast WiFi. Priced well for a stopover or business trip. One improvement would be lighting at the rear entrance - at night needed to use torch on phone, that's minor in the overall picture, of course.

Managed to get a good deal for a 3 night stay and was honestly blown away by how nice it was. Just off the main road in the middle of Norwich, it was located in a really nice area that was peaceful at night. Had an amazing kitchenette in the room with an oven, hob, microwave, sink, fridge and washing machine, so we could basically self cater the whole time we were in the city working. Very polite and attentive staff on arrival, the lobby is comfy with nice couches, everything nicely presented. It's clean, modern and cosy place, so much better than imagined. It had everything we needed and we would certainly stay again.

Good size flat, good cooking facilities and a washing machine. Central location, easy walk from station. Helpful staff on reception. Can drop luggage off early.

This was a one night stay after a gig so the facilities were not required. However, everything was sufficient. A very late booking, we cannot praise the process enough. It was super smooth and the 24 hour check-in is an absolute boon. Would highly recommend.

Centrally located and safe walking, had to pay for parking,3 blocks away. Washing machine did not work for drying. Excellent customer service . Would probably stay again

Positives: Norwich is lovely. Great location near to the river, cathedral and city centre. Well equipped apartment and a firm but comfortable bed. Lovely reception staff who are 24hr, so also good for security. Negatives: Not clean. Fridge had crumbs of food and smears in it. Kitchen sink had brown stains around the sinkhole. Bathroom has lots of black mould, especially on the shower head. The soap tray near the shower was full of residue and hairs. The floors were dusty had someone's hairs on them. The whole place was a little tired eg stains on the sofa, marks on the worktop and table, poor workmanship eg paintwork, bodged carpentry etc. Whilst the photos look good, closer inspection reveals there's some issues with this place. We can't believe there are so many reviews that say this place is clean which makes me wonder if the reviews are reliable or we were just unlucky??! The location can be noisy at the weekend as it's very close to clubs/pubs that stay open until 3-4am on Friday/Saturday. Fortunately our room was on the lower ground floor which was less affected by the music sounds and had a dehumidifier continuously running which helped drown the sound. However, the fire doors in the corridor were noisy, so we did suffer interrupted sleep.

Really clean and modern with super friendly and helpful front desk staff. Only draw back is the lack of on-site parking, other than that, excellent :)

perfect location, and good facilities, but the place is a bit tired, the laminate flooring in my room was coming up and there was black mould in the bathroom. However the rest of the apartment was clean. The bed was so comfortable and good quality linen. The kitchen was basic, but had everything you needed for a short stay. Would i go back , yes

We only stayed one night, but very impressed with facilities and comfort. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and sofa, and really quiet place to stay, despite proximity and easy walk to the city centre. The bathroom could have done with a tiny bit more attention e.g. cracked tiles and shower screen seal.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable although the decor was maybe a little bit tired. That aside it had all I needed for my stay.

A good spacious and comfortable room. The only things that let it down was a bad drain smell coming from the cupboard under the kitchen sink and coffee mugs that were dirty with stains. It wasn’t a great problem as they cleaned up with a good wash but just a little disappointing, it shouldn’t happen in hotel accommodation. Otherwise a very well equipped room and we would book the hotel again.

Great location, friendly and helpful reception staff. Apartment was clean but did smell of stale smoke. The kitchen floor was clean but really sticky to walk on. The en-suite shower was mouldy and needed a really good clean which I was really surprised to see.

Well located apartments, have lived locally for a long time and had no idea these were here. Close to nightlife but tucked well away. Ideal location for a night or weekend in Norwich. Apartments very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again

Great location midway between the station and centre of town. Very friendly welcome when we arrived and they were happy to store our bags until our room was ready, which was a great help. The apartment itself was very spacious and well equipped, but it could have been a little cleaner. The linens were absolutely fine, but the general cleaning (i.e. hoovering and bathroom) needed a bit more attention. Overall a good stay though at a very reasonable price.

Always nice staff and a clean room. Not luxurious but spacious. Price is great too.

Unfortunately our weekend stay was spoiled by extremely loud noise from the night club behind the apartments until early hours of the morning. Because we couldn't have the windows open due to the noise and also safety reasons (ground floor room), it caused the rooms to be very warm, and when we asked for fans that were shown as being available we were told there were none :/ It's a shame because the rooms themselves are quite nice and spacious, nice bathrooms and an excellent price. During the week stay would probably have a very different experience.

The property didn't have proper curtains - only voile coverings which meant low privacy with the lights on and light coming through in the morning which meant no lie in. The floor is significantly worn and raised in places, the shower seal could cosmetically do with either some dettol bleach or re-doing. The apartment was clean, the kitchen was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The hallway leading to the apartment though had a strong smell of urine. I did send a message to the property regarding the curtains, but have never received a response. This was following the advice from the check-in staff. There was also an alarm from the school going off from 4am which was a repeated warning message - it continued until we left at 9:30. Not the property's fault but a damn nuisance.

I had a lovely mid week stay at the apartments. I would caution against staying at the weekend though. I saw numerous reviews about noise at weekends and now I’ve been there and seen how close the nightclubs are I can see why. I however, stopped Sunday to Wednesday and didn’t hear a thing. The location was good, central to the cathedral, train station, shops etc. There is a Tesco extra just across the street for the essentials. I would stop again, but, I did miss little things though, like a cloth to wipe surfaces down, good quality pillows and a mat on the floor in the bathroom. The shower was AMAZING, however on the first morning I almost lost my balance with my wet feet and the shiny tiled floor to the point I actually frightened myself. Next morning I was prepared with yesterdays towels put down on the floor ready.

Was pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the apartment, first time here but definitely not the last ,only negative was the curtains in the bedroom ,definitely need blackout blinds in there ,other than that ,perfect

Great location and reasonably affordable. Other reviews mentioned it can be noisy cos it's right next to all the clubs but we were staying at the basement and with the windows shut, we couldn't hear anything!

Stayed here over a weekend to discover property is next door to a bar/nightclub with an outdoor area. Even with earplugs and a pillow over my head I could hear lots of noise. Continued till well after 2am. The bed was so soft I sat on the mattress and could feel the base underneath (I’m not that heavy). Did not sleep well. Property is a bit tired.

Enjoyed the stay here, good location, parking is not too far £11.50 a night in a multistory Weather was hot but fans werent that great so was a struggle sleep No freezer either as would of bought some ice but thats only because weather was hot Other than that enjoyed my stay

The apartment was lovely, spacious, lots of equipment, enormous bathroom. However we stayed on a thur and the night club next-door started up about 11.00pm and went on till 4am. The windows closed cut some noise down but it spoilt what would have been a lovely stay. The manager was very apologetic but in uni term time its thur to Sunday night club music.

Stayed for 3 nights in a studio which was quite big. The apartments are located a short walk from the train station and near the cathedral and only a short walk into the city centre. My studio was really comfy. Apart from a bed, there is a settee table and chairs for 2, kitchen area, dressing table, mirror TV and also a plug in fan. Toiletries in bathroom. Staff very helpful and friendly. Extra items provided on request.

Location near the train station was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a warm weekend so the fans were helpful and they fixed the fan that broke quickly.

Having stayed many times, looked forward to a relaxing stay. On first night reception staff very noisy, all through the night. Not normally an issue but room 8 is right next to reception. I was advised by helpful lady a new staff member was being trained. Hopefully this won’t occur again, making me think twice about booking again though…

Wellington apartments cancelled my booking & relet our 3 apartments because they couldn't contact me on the aft of our arrival whilst I was out cycling. There was an issue because I've changed credit cards & luckily we all found somewhere else for the night but this was a poor way to treat a customer.

Well managed apartment block, light , airy and modern. Very safe area, and I liked the security for the block, access code to get in, and 24 hour front desk. Staff were so polite and friendly, and Will in particular was so helpful. The room was very clean, had a small table and chairs, comfy bed, and ironing board, iron and hair dryer were nice touches. The kitchen was well equipped and super clean. Almost instant hot water in the shower and some toiletries were also supplied, which was a bonus. Communication was excellent with a fact sheet in the apartment which suggested where to eat, where to get shopping etc. which again was a thoughtful touch. Free Wi-Fi. Bit noisy at night outside, and some other guests were loud when coming in during the early hours, but overall, I would recommend highly, as a bargain price for what you get.

Second time staying here and it did not disappoint. Apartments are so clean and well equipped with everything you may need. A huge list of extras you can request. We requested a non slip bath mat and a fan as we have a baby and it came up minutes later! Nothing we could fault. Parking is about 5 minutes walk and not too costly at all but there is cheaper parking all round we just use the multi storey for ease. Some reviews mention noise from the nightclubs- we stayed Friday-Sunday and did not hear anything. Will definitely be returning.

Staff was always really nice and helpful. The location is Fantastic for walking around Norwich. Highly recommend!

Excellent accommodation, very handy to the station, cathedral and castle. Great value for money.

The location was great, staff was helpful and property in good condition generally. The downside is that there is no on site parking (but there is a car park nearby) and it can get noisy at night as crowds filter out of bars at the end of the night.

Lovely apartment in a great area for exploring the city and much quieter at night than expected considering it is off Prince of Wales road. Friendly reception staff.

The location is in a small narrow lane. Access is difficult and no parking which was challenging with luggage. Hotel is near a number of night clubs so quite noisy especially on closing.

I loved my stay, and it exceeded my expecations. The place is in a strange little back street which might look unpromising, but it's dead quiet and actually ideally placed just minutes from both the station and the cathedral. The place is very well kept, and simple but stylish. My appartment was like a Travelodge bed room and bathroom, but with a well-equipped kitchen and a living room thrown in too. The reception staff were all very pleasant and helpful and, overall, it was extremely good value for money. It would be my first choice on a return trip to the city.

Great location for exploring the centre.

Great place to stay, had everything we needed in the two bedroom apartment. Ideally placed for access to local transport links and close to city centre. You do hear the nightclub on Saturday night but it’s not to bad.

Very nice clean well equipped accommodation. Friendly helpful staff. My only concern is that the route from central Norwich is down a dark alley.

There is no mention on the website that these apartments are situated behind a nightclub. The continuous base noise from the nightclub music could be heard until almost 2am. We had a very disturbed nights sleep as a result and decided to cut short our stay rather than endure for a second night.
