Wyndham Garden OKC Airport & Events Center, Near Paycom, Fairgrounds, Arcade & indoor Pool

We did late checkin around. 1pm and the room which we reserved was king, but got double , which is fine but A/C was not working and the door lock was not closing properly, had to walk to front desk and got ani the room, and when i go to this new room, the room is under construction and had to go to front desk again, and showed him the picture of the room, and the front desk guy mentioned that the inventory was not updated correctly and got another room, which is okay finally but not clean enough, can find spider webs on the corners etc. Not clean enough, poorly managed, not recommended if you are late checkin and want some smooth checkin and dont want to waste time.

Did a last minute booking for this hotel the day of the Kentucky Derby to be able and go and watch it in town somewhere and then have something close to do after. Easy to book, no issues, was right by food and entertainment for us to do in a good location, and staff was nice. Hotel was clean and had a more unique vibe than the basic ones we think of. I liked it!

I’ve previously had bad experiences with hotels promising airport shuttles and then not coming through, so I called ahead of time to make sure I could get a 5 am shuttle. I was told I was “down for it.” When I got to the hotel, I recognized it as one of my previous bad experiences, and sure enough, they didn’t have anyone for a 5 am shuttle. I waited nearly an hour for a room even though I had a reservation and then was given a key to a room already occupied. I was given another room with a broken deadbolt; I fastened the latch and pulled a chair in front of the door. This proved to be a good idea as a short time later someone tried to get into my room. I said it was occupied and shortly the security guard appeared to demand my name, but he recognized me from the first room debacle. At 5 am I went to the desk where the clerk told me he “didn’t have a clue” about a shuttle, but he got the security guard to watch the desk and took me to the airport. it seemed to me the staff - desk and housekeeping - were trying hard but had no support. I’ll never stay at a Wyndham property again.

Pool was lcold and some kind of film on the water. Not useful at all.

This property is what you would expect by the airport it's not a newer property but it's decent. Just keep in mind it is an older property but it's clean the water was hot the breakfast was an actual hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs country potatoes, sausage you had a choice between sliced bread wheat or white, they didn't have orange juice which was disappointing, but he did have water and apple juice to add coffee, they had all of the condiments and plasticware that you needed and assorted cereals. Breakfast starts at 7:00 am on Saturdays and 6:00 am during the week. Front desk was pleasant and accommodating. Indoor pool, nice work out space. I believe I got what I paid for so no complaints.
