Best Western Plus Brunswick Inn & Suites

I have never seen this place the way it was. The first day there (Friday)we went to the pool and it was filthy. The next day my wife asked the lady at the front desk if there were any complaints on their pool, and the lady said no, and the pool was just cleaned Thursday. Then later that evening we asked the next shift about the pool and we were told their pump was messed up. The next morning my wife inquired if the pool was going to be cleaned and the front desk called the manager on the phone and was told that the pool would not be cleaned and we could either deal with the pool or get a refund. I didn't have the money to go somewhere else while waiting for the refund to go back onto my card. So we had to deal with a nasty pool. Come to find out, this is no a real Best Western Plus. It is privately owned and doesn't hold the same standards. There is actually a sign at the front desk stating that. Had I known that, I never would have stayed here. This one is the worst of several that I stay in. They don't even ask if you are a reward member like the others do. Also I saw several safety hazards while I was there, but I didn't waste my time mentioning them. They obviously don't care enough to fix the small things. I can see this place having some lawsuits in the future. Another thing I noticed was some of the people coming to the pool weren't guests. And of course they don't have enough staff to monitor things like that, so I didn't bother saying anything.

Hotel & room were CLEAN; staff was excellent, professional, helpful & room was comfortable. Breakfast was nice added bonus. Pool & patio were good but some chaise lounges would be appropriate for that area instead of just chairs. Food options nearby for dining out or in. (Supermarket within walking distance)

The room was clean up on arrival. They did a touch up cleaning during my stay. The breakfast was typical but good. The hotel was clean. The parking lot was limited.

I have stayed here twice before. The staff goes over the top to accommodate requests. The breakfast is plentiful and well attended to by staff members. All areas are very clean. I enjoyed the pool. Hotel is very conveniently located to restaurants.

Check in was friendly and quick, parking accessible, room lovely and clean, bathroom comfortable and clean, breakfast hot and ready, and price reasonable. Blessings!

Morrison checked me in less than 60 seconds no issues or extra deposits or charges kudos to his knowledge to get you in quickly.He also was jam up in the morning at breakfast kept it neat and stocked! Patricia was also great at breakfast! I scroll many reviews so I can get answers to my questions. So I’m going to try to be detailed. Breakfast consists of the following Oatmeal various flavors, Cheerios, Chex, eggs(mix kind but taste better than others I’ve had),patty sausage, espresso and regular coffee, orange juice, lemon aid, pineapple n passion fruit juice, cranberry juice,milk,apples, bananas, large make yourself waffles, make yourself 2 automatic pancakes at a time, with a topping bar, muffins, danish, yogurt it says waffles, oatmeal and cereal gluten free. We were there three mornings and the menu didn’t change. But it was satisfying oh and toast. The pool looked to be clean we didn’t use it but was clean. The parking was free and safe. The hotel smelled clean and looked clean there are hand sanitizer stations as well. There is a fitness area and laundry for the public. There’s a Waffle House in walking distance but we didn’t need it with the breakfast there. The beds were comfortable and the covers as well pillows were plentiful. The shampoo smells of citrus oranges revitalizing also the conditioner was better than most hotels and lotion. House keeping came daily we only changed our towels and asked for what we were out of but they would do the room. Fridge/micro

The wi-fi was always kicking me off and I was having to re log back in constantly. The TV has almost zero programming unless you like only conservative news. The breakfast is the same old tired powdered eggs and waffles. The elevator makes a very loud clunk and shutter when going up. Very disconcerting. After 40 years of travel I feel that the value just isn't there. Overpriced by at least $20 a night.

Parking was tight for larger vehicles

I was looking for a safe and clean place to stay for a night while traveling. Read good reviews but could not relate to the reviews. The shower walls were dirty, the shower curtain was dirty. Stains on the blanket, large stain on the floor.

I've stayed at a lot of best westerns and this was by far the worse. The room smelt awful and the sheets looked like they weren't change since the last guest, there was also small bugs crawling on the sheets. We changed rooms and we didn't see bugs, smelt better but the sheets were still not clean. If it wasn't so late we definitely would have went somewhere else. Also very felt very unsafe - would never stay here again.

First room assigned had some smell but still acceptable. Bedding had some yellow stain. Shower was broken with no hot water. Called the front desk and we were assigned another room. While the second room had hot water, the shower area was very dirty. The bedding was not clean with food remains on bedding and floor. It had a very bad smell. In the end we took shower in the second room but slept in first room. Very hectic night and totally not relaxing.

Very clean room, quick check in. The breakfast area was also very clean and had a good selection.

When I booked into this room, I noticed a somewhat musty smell thought maybe it was just from the cleaning fluid. I turned on the fan, and after a long day of driving, I slept. Woke up early in the morning, went for the breakfast, and when I return to my room, the smell of mold was even stronger in the room. So I look to see where the odor is coming from. There was a counter inside the room that had a sink, which would be a set up for a possible wet bar. I open the cupboard door underneath that sink, BLACK MOLD as seen in the picture. I was horrified I packed. My bag, went down to the counter and show the manager desk clerk the photo. I demanded a credit on my account since I slept in a hazardous room. Needless to say my anxiety was high as it would be for anyone. I was told that I could not receive a credit from them. I have to go through hotels.com. The manager on duty had the attitude like I was her bothering her with a problem. I filed a claim with my credit card company and was denied credit for this night stay from the hotel. Apparently to them, it was OK that I slept in a health hazardous room.

Very clean, staff pleasant and helpful.

We stay here several times a year and it’s always great. It’s very clean and quiet.

Clean room, good breakfast selection and friendly staff.

The room had a strong odor of mold/mustiness. The staff gave us different room that seemed better until we turned up the air conditioning, then it smelled as bad as the first room. Everything had a slightly damp feel to it. Would not stay here again.

Very clean and well-appointed room. The property is clean and well maintained. Quick on and off to the I95 but not so close that you hear traffic constantly. Close to gas and dining. Would go back again.

Nice place …interesting design… a rectangle. Reminded me of the old “shotgun” houses. It was clean and smelled clean. Desk clerk, breakfast hostess and housekeeping staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty. Beds could have been more comfortable and pillows need to be replaced but overall, room was nice. Not many channels to choose from on Direct TV. An upgrade would be a good idea. It’s near I-95 if that’s important to you

It’s good because it is right off the highway. But there is a lot of loud car noises.

The only complaint was the TV in our room. Pixel distortion was so terrible we couldn't watch TV.

The bed was very comfy. Overall the room was clean and everything was in good order. The hotel was quiet, which was nice. I would have given more stars but the A/C wasn’t very cold and the shower wasn’t great (pressure was good though).

Location was good. Bed was ok. Breakfast mediocre. Wi-Fi issues. Everything just ok.

Room was quite comfortable with a sofa and a kingsize bed. Super size TV. My only observation is that for a very large room, the bed was less than a foot from the AC unit! You had a walk sideways to get into the bed.

We just stayed overnight while traveling. The evening check-in clerk never smiled and wasn't welcoming, so we were expecting a less than stellar experience. We were pleasantly surprised. The beds were quite comfortable. The only noise came from another guest blaring his TV at 3:00 in the morning, but that is not the fault of BW. The free breakfast was awesome, providing many more options than we expected. The lady overseeing that area was incredibly friendly, as was the clerk we spoke to at checkout.

The bed is too close to the AC unit. Whoever lies on that side of the bed essentially freezes. There’s no way of lowering the fan speed either. The bed should be shifted more towards the center of the room. Otherwise, good basic hotel room with essential Features. Free breakfast is a plus

Room was clean and conveniently located just off I-95. Unfortunately, our AC turned off during the middle of the night so, between being hot and having loud, inconsiderate neighbors, it was hard to sleep.

We stopped here on the way down to Florida to visit friends. We liked our stay then and booked for the return trip. Its an older hotel that has been updated and is well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. It made my morning to have the cheerful woman in charge of the breakfast stop at our table ( and each table) to inquire if we had everything we needed. The breakfast had many options, well stocked, and we went away refueled and cheerful too!

The faucet handle in the shower was completely broken. I had to figure out how to get it on to turn the water on. My door was actually open when I went up to my room ( not just unlocked), and when I mentioned it to the front desk clerk, he was completely indifferent. Didn’t offer to walk me back up and check the room. Nothing. Front desk staff both during check out and check in were not friendly. Not rude, just not welcoming nor did they ask how was my stay, or say thank you. Not who I would want greeting my guests.

Staff was very accommodating and everyone from the front desk person to the housekeeping staff to the breakfast lady could not have been more Pleasant, helpful, and friendly! It was a very pleasant experience and would would stay again in a minute! We checked in after midnight and down the breakfast area at nine, it was supposed to be closed, the lady was don’t worry, eat enjoy your breakfast. She made us feel very special and not put out by our being a little late! All hotels should have this kind of friendly, welcoming and customer oriented members ! Everyone was kind, friendly and helpful! Nice way to start your day! We’ll be back for sure. Price was great, beds comfortable too!!

Do not stay here. We had a very scary incident where an employee let themselves into our room at 9am and refused to leave. The man had no legitimate reason to enter the room. The management did nothing and made light of the situation. Super scary. How many times has this employee done the same thing to other women staying at this hotel?

If check out was 11. Why would house keeping knock at 930 and continue to knock up to 11. That’s annoying while ur packing to go. Person working the desk did absolutely nothing.just told me to call the manger. Which says we get complaints of that all the time. Will never stay there again.

Something odd happened, Friday morning i stepped away, came back to my room having all the towels gone, but none left. I asked front desk, she wasn't helpful at all. A couple hours later a male housekeeper, didn’t knock, tried coming into room, but just came into bathroom with paper, i said i need towels, he said hos wife would be back. What????? Woman housekeeper came to the door about 2 hours later, not really knocked, and had no look around, then asked several times about the towels, before giving me any.

Everyone is always nice! Check in and out is fast! When we request room on first floor they always accomodate for that’ Always a great stay each time!

The staff was very friendly. A hotel was located in a good area for finding places to eat and shop. The hotel was located only a short drive from Saint Simon Island.

Close to I95 and convenient

Property is clean and right off the interstate. Location was perfect but the clean updated facility was even better. We have stayed in numerous hotels and this one was at a great price for all the amenities. Highly recommend.

Very convenient location, right of I-95, was perfect for overnight stop on the way to Orlando FL. Great shopping selection in the area, nearby Ale House had great service and awesome food and offered a discount because we were staying at the hotel.

The property is located very conveniently off I-95 as you enter the Brunswick area from the north. It is close to several shopping centers. The area around the hotel was well lighted.

Nice hotel with a vast breakfast, the make your own parfait was as good as chick fil a yogurt! Check in and stay was smooth and easy and we enjoyed our room.

The place was clean the bed wasn’t that comfortable pretty hard. The breakfast was not good at all. Everything tasted old. For one night it’s ok.

Very friendly staff. The girls at breakfast were so kind. They actually checked on me several times and made sure everything was available.

Room was semi/clean. The towels need to be replaced. Very old. Rarely saw staff. Room needed to be brighter…paint or lighting. TV needed more choice. Great if you like sports but nothing more offered. Breakfast was the same for 4 mornings. Ok but nothing exciting.

Clean and comfortable. Would have been 4 stars except for slow draining tub and bad coffee. Otherwise breakfast was pretty good.

The room was very clean. The beds were super comfy! Breakfast was good, with scrambled eggs and bacon for the hot foods. I noticed that pancakes and waffles could be made, also.
