Motel 6-Huntsville, TX

Pool was nice, but difficult to get in to. Worker was not excited to help and was on a personal phone call. Lots of bugs at this property. We’ve stayed here before, but it did not have the bug problem before. Gross!

We had lost electricity and needed a place to stay, and we were lucky to find Motel 6. The room was needing to be updated in a big way and there were bugs in the floor (roaches and crickets). There is no refrigerator or coffee pot (keurig), and the Wi-Fi was not available in our room. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but you could smell smoke from a smoker.

Toilets sheets and towels were filthy . It was like they were never washed or cleaned for a while. Internet is spotty. Rooms were not cleaned daily.

The pool was closed BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, my room did NOT have a microwave or refrigerator like I requested I asked the office guy about it and if he had a room with the appliances and was told nothing was available. Office guy was very friendly and helpful, area did not make me feel very safe it's kinda dark at night. Suspicious activity all night long with cars coming and going.

Upon arrival, the front desk informed me that their internet was down and it would be a “little bit” before they could check me in. After over an hour and a half waiting with no other option and the hotel unable to check ANYONE in. I left and made other arrangements

We had wanted to stay for 2 nights but did not. Found out the pool was closed due to lack of cleanliness and also the pool doesnt open until May. We had the kids and they were looking forward to swimming. The motel should out in the ads pool closed until a certain month. Also the sheets had yellow stains on them. Room was smaller than what the picture showed. Guess you get what you pay for. We ended up leaving and staying at a much nicer hotel, one with a working pool and clean room.

Well, as cliche as it sounds, I got what I paid for. It was literally just a bed and a bathroom. There wasn't a mini fridge, micromave or even a coffee pot. The front door leading out of the room was warped where it bent inwards enough on the top and bottom that you could see the outside sunshine. When I came back on Saturday night from visiting a friend, you could smell that someone was smoking marijuana. Also, the property looks nothing like the pictures on the website! They do have a pool but it is very, very tiny and the size of the property was less than half of what it looks on the website. To say the least, I will be doing more diligent research the next time I head for Huntsville!

Didn't even stay there. Roaches crawing on the floor a used bandage in the shower. Creepy area. Very disgusting place.

Very dirty & had a very bad smell, house keeping needs to DO BETTER!!!! Bathroom dirty with stains.

Oh my, I had issues with opening the door, the structure seemed weak and unsafe. Roaches everywhere, even in the beds, headboard and the bathroom door and room window was broken. The whole room reeked of odor, just an awful odor. I heard music outside until 1am. No refrigerator in room, no iron, but microwave is in the front office. I would not accept here ever again. However, I did have a roof over my head and bed to sleep other than condition.

Room was filthy. Moved bag stand and found dirt and a dead cricket behind. Dirt around refrigerator like it hasn't been swept in awhile. Shower was old, had a leak in the pan and needed to be painted or something. Lots of small roaches seen all over the hotel room..

The maid didn’t change the sheets. There were roaches in my room.

Room was fithy, bathroom door hinge was off the jam, door would not close, i cleaned the toilet and shower. Air conditioner loaded with crud and dust. Rediculous!

The first room I was assigned had not been cleaned. The bed wasn't changed from the previous customer .The second room had tiny roaches.

Remote barely works fan in the bathroom made horrific noise, and the neighbor sang until 200 am.

The Tv remote did not work.

Pluses - cheap , conveniently located , rather quiet which was a surprise if you know motel 6’s. Minuses - dark stains on sheets and pillow cases , not sure if cleaned or not.small opened soap bar, don’t know if used or not. Comforter was stained horribly and under blanket had cigarette holes in them. No microwave. In summary, we stayed 1 night me and my 15 year old son. For $55 bout what you’d expect

The beds were terribly hard and uncomfortable. There was no water pressure to shower with, and the ice machine was broken. Also the air conditioner was so loud. The next morning the coffee had a bad burnt taste. This was a terrible experience after a long day of driving.

Service was subpar, but not bad. Tgere was a hole in the bathroom door. Could hear highway noise all night.

This property offered a good price, but the condition of the property was very poor. The main room had no light..., no light at all. No ceiling light or lamp. The computer desk had no where to plug in your laptop. The bathroom shower curtain was tattered and frayed. There were roaches in the room. The TV remote control did not work. Upon check in I was greeting very nicely, but the property was in very poor shape.

No light in bathroom. Shower and sink drains stopped up. Deadbolt wouldn’t engage.

Young man who checked me in was polite and professional. You could tell he was busy because it was family weekend for sam houston. Room, bed, bathroom was clean. AC worked well. Comforter had cigarette burn in it but bed was clean. Larger pillows would be nice. Clean up area by container, there is dog feces all over there. I would stay again for a short stay.

Staff was very helpful and courteous!

First of all, there was no remote and noticed the shower was filthy. The night clerk was very apologetic and gave me a remote and a bottle of disinfectant/bleach! The overnight clerk was exceptionally polite and very helpful. The morning of our event, I returned the non working remote to the morning clerk who fed me nothing but lies. She took the remote and wen it did not work for her, she grabbed another remote from the cabinet and told me all the remote needed was a battery. Wow, I’m a few days shy of 66 and I know it was a totally different remote. I also told her about the uncleanliness of the shower. She stated it was paint overspray which is totally false. Overspray paint would not budge with a general cleanser. I informed of the fact I know paint from filth! I asked to speak to a manager and she told me each clerk was essentially the manager and there wasn’t an owner. During the late evening, she told me she was as refunding $15 for having to clean and disinfect the shower! Wow! When I returned to the hotel, a man was standing blocking the parking spot closest to the stairwell. After about 15 to 20 seconds , I tapped the horn and tacitly gestured I need to park. You think that would think a fully grown man would move. After another minute or more, he strolls away without even a gesture of apology! Later I see this same man in the office with the night clerk. I assumed. he was the “non existent” manager/owner. I am in stroke recovery! Room 210 was a hike for me!

It was horrible, we got up the morning of 12/3 to get ready to go to a family member's funeral and there was no water. I called the front desk, the rude clerk told me nobody had water, a water pipe broke during the night. I asked what are we supposed to do about a shower. She said, well, i can give you a $10.00 refund and you can check out. Well, why would i do that. I had no where else to go, since i was from out of town. The water finally came back on, but she didn't have to be so rude about it all. I'd reconsider who i hire if they can't be a little bit more compassionate towards their guests. It will cost a lot of lost business, and i don't think you all can really afford that!!!

Check-in was a breeze. It’s an old building so doors are quirky. However the staff was wonderful and patient while I learned the “tricks.” I’d stay again if I needed to. The grounds were neat and clean for the most part.

The room was clean, except the bedspread which had mystery stains, but I don’t sleep ON the bedspread. The parking lot and surrounding areas were VERY well lit. I felt perfectly safe there.

Property smelled like weed.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. I have very limited knowledge on the Huntsville area and needed to book a room for move in weekend at SHSU to get my daughter moved in, and situated, to her dorm room. After we checked in we were walking to our motel room and there was a man in the parking lot that walked straight to my car and attempted to open the driver side door. The room itself smelled like cigarette smoke even though we requested a nonsmoking room. When my husband was getting out of the shower he saw several roaches coming out of the ceiling. He went to the front desk and they did move us to another room. By the time we were leaving the first room, there were roaches scurrying across the floor. The second room wasn’t much better. Unfortunately,it was a conjoining room and I have no idea what the people next to us were doing but it involved power tools and was super sketchy. We contacted Expedia immediately and were able to checkout and get a full refund. There was no way I was going to let my daughter stay in that dump.

I loved the pool and the families playful use of water and secure area. Staff was accommodating and made good coffee. I slept very soundly and didn’t leave until 9 when I had expected to be on my way at 6AM, ahead of any traffic. I enjoyed the diversion.

They had a night road construction crew working nearby and making a lot of noise which made the sleep a little disappointing
