The only good thing about this hotel is its location. The last two times we’ve stayed here our rooms have been super hot. No air conditioning. Also $45 parking is insane

One of the best hotel stays I've had--perfectly located just steps from the charming shops and restaurants of Old Sacramento. The complimentary made-to-order breakfast every morning was a great start to each day, and the manager's reception from 5:30-7 pm with complimentary drinks and appetizers was such a treat. Skip made the best Bloody Mary! Valet service was exceptional--super fast and always on point. Can't recommend this place enough!

Arrived around 1pm and checked in and was told they would call when room was ready. We checked in regularly on room status. Finally went to the front desk after 4pm and was told no rooms available. After several calls they we able to find our 3 rooms. Rooms were on the second floor above the patio. Around 8pm a band started playing loud music which went on for a couple of hours and we were unable to relax or go to sleep.

The hotel had zero parking for my truck. NO valet parking during my stay and I had to park across the freeway from the hotel in a public parking lot that was located next to a very sketchy park. Further more, I had to wake up at 5:30AM because the parking lot had a maximum time and i had to move my truck by 6AM. VERY inconvenient.

Very nice experience. I liked the layout of the Hotel. Rooms are spacious. Stayed on the riverfront with an excellent river and bridge view. Very short walk to Old Town. Food was very fresh and delicious. The location and free breakfast was a deal breaker. The only improvement I can see is probably the swimming pool and hot tub being way to small and wished they had a larger pool or additional hot tub, other than that I would recommend this as a excellent place to stay.

This hotel is super close to Old Town & the ballpark so it’s very convenient for that. Check in was okay, they failed to tell us the breakfast hours. The rooms are suites, so there is room to spread out. My issue was the cleanliness of our room. The curtains had blood on them - see pic - and that wasn’t all. The bathroom surfaces were strangely sticky, and the mirror was streaked. If I do ever stay here again, I’ll be bringing a lot of disinfectant wipes. Breakfast was not bad, fresh omelettes to order.

The room was not very clean, especially considering the price. Our shower walls were very dirty and covered in soap scum. The drain was also clogged so the water backed up into the tub, which is obviously very gross. The hotel desk clerk did not seem to really care when I told him upon checkout. (We only stayed 1 night and discovered the issue late at night). The food and bar staff were very nice! The breakfast was ok but some of the foods were stale and the drink glasses tasted like sanitizer. Special shoutout to the valet crew, they were very helpful and kind.

So, the location of the Embassy Suites is great - right on the river, across the street from Old Town. Just ideal. Decent restaurant/bar onsite. Friendly, helpful staff. And while the suite view was nice, the condition of the rugs and fabrics were definitely used, even borderline gross. I recommend socks when walking around

During our 3-night stay, we had some positive experiences as well as some negative. The hotel is in an great location, walkable to Old Sacramento and many other parts of the downtown area. The entrance and public area of the hotel are very attractive, open and spacious. The employees were pleasant and helpful. We had a King suite with river view. The bedroom was comfortable and quiet. The living room area where our daughter slept was somewhat noisy, as the window faced the open atrium area where there was music, talking, and breakfast area clatter. The floorplan of our room was not well designed. When one person goes in or out of the bathroom, the door bumps into anyone using the refrigerator, kitchen sink, or coffee maker. The microwave was on a very low shelf making it difficult to use. The microwave was a very old model that used a manual knob to set time in minutes rather than seconds, again making it difficult to use. The sink and surrounding counter was at an unusually high level, making it a bit awkward. One day the breakfast room was chaotic with too many people, and the staff was unable to refill the buffet areas fast enough to keep up with the demand. That was the day after Thanksgiving, so the breakfast hours probably should have been extended to a weekend schedule.

From the minute we drove up to the hotel we were greeting by a very nice young man who helped us unload our luggage and made arrangements for parking. The inner court yard of the hotel is beautiful. Our room was huge, great sitting area, large bathroom and bedroom. Beautiful view of the Sacramento River.

Breakfast is complimentary. Lots of choices. You don’t have to leave the hotel to dine. We were in a king size bed suite. Room was spacious. Bed was comfy, lots of pillows and perfect amount of layers.

Hotel was amazing for our family of 6. We could all stay in one room and the breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we've ever had. Also appreciated the free happy hour drinks and snacks. The pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. I would not recommend an adult sleep on it unless you like the feeling of springs in your back all night and the parking was valet only and expensive.

We stayed the night for a family trip to the A’s game. They had an awesome continental breakfast and they had a happy hour that had a lot of complimentary drinks with cheap food. The staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. My only complaint is the HVAC systems in the room do not let you turn the air colder than 68, the room got exceptionally stuffy but the saving grace was our window opened 3-4” for fresh air. We will be staying here again because if thats my only complaint then its worth the $.

I’ve stayed at numerous Embassy Suites & everything has always been 5-Star rated. This location has a number of rooms on the main street. I maybe got 2 hours sleep due to all the noise, cars, motorcycles, even trains. There is obviously no sound proofing. If you stay here, its a must to ask for a room NOT on the main street! Also, be aware, it’s 100% valet parking at $36 a day…

The Valet service was quick and even helped with our luggages. Front desk service was professional, helpful, and made us feel welcome. The breakfast looks refreshing specially the omelette was cooked perfect. The plate buzzer was friendly, even took the time to take a photo for us. I give this Embassy Suite location and customer service a definite 5 stars!

We chose this hotel because we’ve always had a great experience with Embassy and we particular loved the location of this specific one. We arrived at the facility at check-in time (4pm) but were told that the room wasn’t ready. No apology, no compensation, just told that our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait. Only when pressed if there was something they could do to remedy the issue is when they started offering compensation/solution (free parking, $25 gift card to their store, and another room that was actually clean and ready). Everything was offered but we were never given anything but the ready room. Staff needs to be better trained at customer service and folllwing through on their promises.

Upon checking into the hotel, the attendant at the front desk was rude and provided us with incorrect information. He informed us that our debit card was not on file, so we had to leave the hotel to retrieve it. However, upon returning, a gentleman named Neville assured us that there was no need to present proof of our debit or credit card since it was already on file. All he required was our address and full names. Additionally, before we went down for breakfast, we discovered that we had been checked out of our room before 11 a.m., and our key cards no longer worked. My husband had to speak with the same gentleman, and this issue occurred twice during our stay. The overall experience was frustrating and inconvenient. Instead of enjoying time with our daughters, we had to deal with the hassle of check-in issues and malfunctioning key cards. Given this experience, we’re uncertain if we would choose to stay here again.

Hands down one of the nicest Embassy Suites I’ve stayed at! Great location on the riverfront. Old town Sacramento with some really cool shops only about a 3 minute walk. Clean, updated and friendly staff. Front desk staff could be a little more friendly and helpful. They acted as though customers were an inconvenience. Parking is $36 a night. I feel like every place charges for parking though. They do need additional valet people for a hotel this size. We had to wait for at least 10-15 minutes every time for our car. Other than that, beautiful scenery, awesome bar…will definitely stay again when we are in town!

We were there for a concert nearby hotel was great nice and clean. However, when we were there, they needed more people working at the bar took us 20 minutes to get our first drink and then an additional 20 minutes to get the second drink and then additional 30 minutes to get the bill.

The location was perfect for an evening stroll while our girls attended a concert at Golden 1. We loved how close it was to the arena. We enjoyed the bar downstairs before walking around the shops nearby. Over all our stay was great at this hotel.

Clean, friendly, comfortable beds, fabulous breakfast! Very close to the ball stadium and other tourist sites. Felt completely safe in daylight hours but the streets were quite empty after dark, except for tents. I felt safe walking in a group but not sure as a single woman I wonder around alone

The hotel feels very upscale. The lobby, restaurant and common areas are all modern and beautiful The room is spacious and we enjoyed getting to bring our pup along and walk along the riverfront. The golden 1 center is less than a 10 minute walk and we felt safe leaving our concert and walking through old town with our daughters. It's a lovely area and the people are lovely too. Overall, a great trip and our go to for each concert or event in Sacramento.

We stayed here on a West Coast road trip and it was a perfect stop. We decompressed from our drive with fantastic cocktails and got a great recommendation from the bartenders for a restaurant we could walk to, since I had no desire to get back in the car. BTW, the restaurant was a Chinese place called Frank Fats - a Sacramento institution that I also recommend.

Nice location. Walking distance to sutter health park and downtown Sacramento. This is my 5th time staying at this hotel. Staff is always great. Rooms are always clean. Free breakfast is always amazing. Made to order omelets, biscuit and gravy, waffles. French toast, bacon, eggs, sausage, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, bagels. You name it its they have it. We use embassy suites as are middle stop on our way home from our yearly disneyland trip which has kind of become a family tradition. I recommend this hotel over a disneyland one any day!!

This property is excellent!! Clean, spacious and quiet. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast wonderful. The only negative is the restaurant for dinner, not a good idea. The food tasted and appeared “premade” not flavorful.

The room was amazing. It was like a small apartment. It had everything we needed. It was clean. Customer service was excellent! We ordered room service from the restaurant and the food was delicious! We brought our dog, and the hotel was super pet friendly. They gave him a toy, a water bowl, and treats. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and more than what we expected. It was a full buffet and made to order omelettes. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
