The morning of my departure I spent approximately 35 minutes stuck in the elevator. After attempting to use the help phone on the elevator panel with no success, I called 911 to have fire department respond. Later that day I attempted to contact, by phone, the assistant manager, mail box was full, so I left a message with the manager requesting that he call me. I have not heard anything from anyone concerning my experience. I can only assume that they are only concern with is collecting money form me.

Good points: It's clean, welcoming staff, modern looking environment. Bad: One of the selling points for us were pool and hot tub - in reality both of them were closed for repair and the paper the note were posted on looked old... The morning breakfast especially on Saturday were overcrowded and the food unavailable - I had to come three times to finally get the items I wanted - for the $289 per day this is not fair

We had planned a vacation around getting some poolside time in during our down time and when we got there the pool was closed. One of the hottest weeks and we were not happy. They got a free pass to the Y in town for pool access, ok but not Athena relaxing vacation I had wanted since watching tv was the only thing available.

The front desk lady was straight up rude and not accommodating in the least bit. The pool was the smallest pool ever and was super cold Only put out coffee/tea at breakfast. Breakfast food was awful Room only had doubles, to small for a family of four to be comfortable Told the front desk I wanted to pay cash upon leaving (since they would not let me pay upon arrival) but they charged my card anyway at a ridiculously early hour of the morning Watched the desk charge a kid $4.20 for a small bottle of soda (highway robbery) Just unsatisfactory

this hotel would have been highly rated, except that there was a strong smell of gas in the lobby. When reported, the receptionist agreed and said he would report this to his manager. When nothing was done on the second evening, we decided to call the fire department. We were tired, and it was late at night, and we couldn’t face looking for a new hotel, even though we were frightened for our own safety. The evening receptionist also agreed that there was a strong smell of gas. The fire department came and turned off the gas on the lobby Fireplace. The next day I was berated by the hotel manager, which seemed a most inappropriate response to our concerns about our own safety. shame on the manager who, rather than dealing with the issue told us it was not a problem and the gas levels were at an acceptable level. Is it ever acceptable for a hotel to have a strong smell of gas in the lobby?

I believe this particular hotel has HOSPITALITY right. Clean, comfortable, decent breakfast selection, clean pool with hot tub, 24 hr refreshing infused cold water, coffee and tea available. We loved our stay!

Overall great- clean, efficient, quiet. The jacuzzi isn't working but they have a partnership with a hotel just down the road who will allow you access to theirs. Very thoughtful

I booked this hotel because it had a pool and a hot tub. we weren't alerted when we checked in that the pool AND hot tub were out of service. we didn't find out until we went down there in our bathing suits. I think we should be offered a credit towards our stay when a major facility/selling point like this is not available for our stay.

It was okay. Booked a room for handicapped. It was smelly, which was resolved by opening the window even though it was very cold that night. Bathroom was not that clean, stinker of urine. This was my second stay, the first stay was wonderful, room was clean and everything smelled good.

The hotel was excellent! But our room was backed into the noisy road. The noise from the trucks and other vehicles woke us up in the middle of the night and it was hard to go back to sleep.

Nice place, clean, friendly check in. Shower area was in need of repairs at wall and ceiling area due to water/condensed steam bc there is no fan. Biggest issue was road noise from Rte 1. Terrible. Earplugs by the bedside should have been the indicator :/. Avoid odd numbered rooms at all costs at this hotel

The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was generally ok. Basically clean except the bathroom floor (the grout needs scrubbing). We were only there for one night and there was no WiFi. It had been restored the next morning when we woke up. This hotel is located near a busy highway and we could hear the traffic noise throughout the night but especially early morning when it was heavier. But it is conveniently located near Longwood Gardens which we had come to visit.

The hotel was close to Longwood Gardens and was nice and quiet so that was a plus. Unfortunately the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The pillows seem to squish down and become too compressed and hard.

We arrived very late at a competing hotel, and found my wife and not completed the reservation online. We went to this hotel and Donna at the front desk told us there were no more rooms available even though hotels.com. Showed that there were five available.. It was now midnight and we were stuck. She called her manager and found that there were two rooms that were available From people who are not checked in or not likely to check in so she contacted them to make sure they were coming and found us a room for the night. She went way above and beyond the call of duty and deserves some kind of award. I offered to give her $20 and she wouldn’t take it. Nobody does this anymore! She is a champ!

We really liked the cleanliness of the room and the included mini-fridge and microwave. Our first night the traffic was very noisy so we asked for a room away from the road and the second night was quiet. The breakfast was included and had a nice selection of eggs, waffles, and sausage. The location is central to Kennett Square and there are a lot of good restaurants nearby. The hotel is also only nine miles from Longwood Gardens, which was the purpose of our trip.

The room was great; two 65" tvs! Nice layout, nice couch area, nice bed. Only negative was breakfast; orange juice machine was broke and last day there was little there. We had to ask if there any spoons; they had them, just hadn't put more out when they ran out. But overall, very nice place.
